A VB-algebroid is essentially defined as a Lie algebroid object in the category of vector bundles. There is a one-to-one correspondence between VB-algebroids and certain flat Lie algebroid superconnections, up to a natural notion of equivalence. In this setting, we are able to construct characteristic classes, which in special cases reproduce characteristic classes constructed by Crainic and Fernandes. We give a complete classification of regular VB-algebroids, and in the process we obtain another characteristic class of Lie algebroids that does not appear in the ordinary representation theory of Lie algebroids.  相似文献

Any étale Lie groupoid G is completely determined by its associated convolution algebra Cc(G) equipped with the natural Hopfalgebroid structure. We extend this result to the generalized morphisms between étale Lie groupoids: we show that any principal H-bundle P over G is uniquely determined by the associated Cc(G)-Cc(H)-bimodule Cc(P) equipped with the natural coalgebra structure. Furthermore, we prove that the functor Ccgives an equivalence between the Morita category of étale Lie groupoids and the Morita category of locally grouplike Hopf algebroids.  相似文献

We study the relative modular classes of Lie algebroids, and we determine their relationship with the modular classes of Lie algebroids with a twisted Poisson structure. To cite this article: Y. Kosmann-Schwarzbach, A. Weinstein, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. I 341 (2005).  相似文献

Motivated by a search for Lie group structures on groups of Poisson diffeomorphisms, we investigate linearizability of Poisson structures of Poisson groupoids around the unit section. After extending the Lagrangian neighbourhood theorem to the setting of cosymplectic Lie algebroids, we establish that dual integrations of triangular bialgebroids are always linearizable. Additionally, we show that the (non-dual) integration of a triangular Lie bialgebroid is linearizable whenever the r-matrix is of so-called cosymplectic type. The proof relies on the integration of a triangular Lie bialgebroid to a symplectic LA-groupoid, and in the process we define interesting new examples of double Lie algebroids and LA-groupoids. We also show that the product Poisson groupoid can only be linearizable when the Poisson structure on the unit space is regular.  相似文献

We introduce the concept of Loday algebroids, a generalization of Courant algebroids. We define the naive cohomology and modular class of a Loday algebroid, and we show that the modular class of the double of a Lie bialgebroid vanishes. For Courant algebroids, we describe the relation between the naive and standard cohomologies and we conjecture that they are isomorphic when the Courant algebroid is transitive. Using the classical double G of a Lie algebra gequipped with the classical R-operator, we define two sets of functions commuting with respect to the initial Lie-Poisson bracket on g* and its extensions. We consider examples of Lie algebras g with the ??Adler-Kostant-Symes?? R-operators and the two corresponding sets of mutually commuting functions in detail. Using the constructed commutative Hamiltonian flows on different extensions of g, we obtain zero-curvature equations with g-valued U-V pairs. The so-called negative flows of soliton hierarchies are among such equations. We illustrate the proposed approach with examples of two-dimensional Abelian and non-Abelian Toda field equations.  相似文献

We first recall some basic definitions and facts about Jacobi manifolds, generalized Lie bialgebroids, generalized Courant algebroids and Dirac structures. We establish an one-one correspondence between reducible Dirac structures of the generalized Lie bialgebroid of a Jacobi manifold (M,Λ,E) for which 1 is an admissible function and Jacobi quotient manifolds of M. We study Jacobi reductions from the point of view of Dirac structures theory and we present some examples and applications.  相似文献

Let \(\mathcal{A} = \mathbb{F}[x,y]\) be the polynomial algebra on two variables x, y over an algebraically closed field \(\mathbb{F}\) of characteristic zero. Under the Poisson bracket, \(\mathcal{A}\) is equipped with a natural Lie algebra structure. It is proven that the maximal good subspace of \(\mathcal{A}*\) induced from the multiplication of the associative commutative algebra \(\mathcal{A}\) coincides with the maximal good subspace of \(\mathcal{A}*\) induced from the Poisson bracket of the Poisson Lie algebra \(\mathcal{A}\). Based on this, structures of dual Lie bialgebras of the Poisson type are investigated. As by-products, five classes of new infinite-dimensional Lie algebras are obtained.  相似文献

Any commutative algebra equipped with a derivation may be turned into a Lie algebra under the Wronskian bracket. This provides an entirely new sort of a universal envelope for a Lie algebra, the Wronskian envelope. The main result of this paper is the characterization of those Lie algebras which embed into their Wronskian envelope as Lie algebras of vector fields on a line. As a consequence we show that, in contrast to the classical situation, free Lie algebras almost never embed into their Wronskian envelope.  相似文献

Generalized Schouten, Frölicher–Nijenhuis and Frölicher–Richardson brackets are defined for an arbitrary Lie algebroid. Tangent and cotangent lifts of Lie algebroids are introduced and discussed and the behaviour of the related graded Lie brackets under these lifts is studied. In the case of the canonical Lie algebroid on the tangent bundle, a new common generalization of the Frölicher–Nijenhuis and the symmetric Schouten brackets, as well as embeddings of the Nijenhuis–Richardson and the Frölicher–Nijenhuis bracket into the Schouten bracket, are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper we prove that on a smooth algebraic variety the HKR-morphism twisted by the square root of the Todd genus gives an isomorphism between the sheaf of poly-vector fields and the sheaf of poly-differential operators, both considered as derived Gerstenhaber algebras. In particular we obtain an isomorphism between Hochschild cohomology and the cohomology of poly-vector fields which is compatible with the Lie bracket and the cupproduct. The latter compatibility is an unpublished result by Kontsevich. Our proof is set in the framework of Lie algebroids and so applies without modification in much more general settings as well.  相似文献

Hartwig, Larsson and Silvestrov in [J.T. Hartwig, D. Larsson, S.D. Silvestrov, Deformations of Lie algebras using σ-derivations, J. Algebra 295 (2) (2006) 314–361] defined a bracket on σ-derivations of a commutative algebra. We show that this bracket preserves inner derivations, and based on this obtain structural results providing new insights into σ-derivations on Laurent polynomials in one variable.  相似文献

This paper is a continuation of [19], [21], [22]. We study flat connections with isolated singularities in some transitive Lie algebroids for which either ℝ or sl(2, ℝ) or so(3) are isotropy Lie algebras. Under the assumption that the dimension of the isotropy Lie algebra is equal to n + 1, where n is the dimension of the base manifold, we assign to any such isolated singularity a real number called an index. For ℝ-Lie algebroids, this index cannot be an integer. We prove the index theorem (the Euler-Poincaré-Hopf theorem for flat connections) saying that the index sum is independent of the choice of a connection. Multiplying this index sum by the orientation class of M, we get the Euler class of this Lie algebroid. Some integral formulae for indices are given.  相似文献

A degree 1 non-negative graded super manifold equipped with a degree 1 vector field Q satisfying [Q,Q]=1, namely a so-called NQ-1 manifold is, in plain differential geometry language, a Lie algebroid. We introduce a notion of fibration for such super manifolds, that essentially involves a complete Ehresmann connection. As it is the case for Lie algebras, such fibrations turn out not to be just locally trivial products. We also define homotopy groups and prove the expected long exact sequence associated to a fibration. In particular, Crainic and Fernandes's obstruction to the integrability of Lie algebroids is interpreted as the image of a transgression map in this long exact sequence.  相似文献

We prove that the asymptotic Assouad–Nagata dimension of a connected Lie group G equipped with a left-invariant Riemannian metric coincides with its topological dimension of G/C where C is a maximal compact subgroup. To prove it we will compute the Assouad–Nagata dimension of connected solvable Lie groups and semisimple Lie groups. As a consequence we show that the asymptotic Assouad–Nagata dimension of a polycyclic group equipped with a word metric is equal to its Hirsch length and that some wreath-type finitely generated groups can not be quasi-isometrically embedded into any cocompact lattice on a connected Lie group.  相似文献

If A is a Lie algebroid over a foliated manifold (M, F){(M, {\mathcal {F}})}, a foliation of A is a Lie subalgebroid B with anchor image TF{T{\mathcal {F}}} and such that A/B is locally equivalent with Lie algebroids over the slice manifolds of F{\mathcal F}. We give several examples and, for foliated Lie algebroids, we discuss the following subjects: the dual Poisson structure and Vaintrob's supervector field, cohomology and deformations of the foliation, integration to a Lie groupoid. In the last section, we define a corresponding notion of a foliation of a Courant algebroid A as a bracket–closed, isotropic subbundle B with anchor image TF{T{\mathcal {F}}} and such that B ^ /B{B^{ \bot } /B} is locally equivalent with Courant algebroids over the slice manifolds of F{\mathcal F}. Examples that motivate the definition are given.  相似文献

A rather simple natural outer derivation of the graded Lie algebra of all vector valued differential forms with the Frölicher-Nijenhuis bracket turns out to be a differential and gives rise to a cohomology of the manifold, which is functorial under local diffeomorphisms. This cohomology is determined as the direct product of the de Rham cohomology space and the graded Lie algebra of traceless vector valued differential forms, equipped with a new natural differential concomitant as graded Lie bracket. We find two graded Lie algebra structures on the space of differential forms. Some consequences and related results are also discussed.  相似文献

We investigate Atiyah algebroids, i.e. the infinitesimal objects of principal bundles, from the viewpoint of the Lie algebraic approach to space. First we show that if the Lie algebras of smooth sections of two Atiyah algebroids are isomorphic, then the corresponding base manifolds are necessarily diffeomorphic. Further, we give two characterizations of the isomorphisms of the Lie algebras of sections for Atiyah algebroids associated to principal bundles with semisimple structure groups. For instance we prove that in the semisimple case the Lie algebras of sections are isomorphic if and only if the corresponding Lie algebroids are, or, as well, if and only if the integrating principal bundles are locally isomorphic. Finally, we apply these results to describe the isomorphisms of sections in the case of reductive structure groups—surprisingly enough they are no longer determined by vector bundle isomorphisms and involve dive rgences on the base manifolds.  相似文献

Interpreting Lie algebroid theory in terms of -modules, we define a duality functor for a Lie algebroid as well as a direct image functor for a morphism of Lie algebroids. Generalizing the work of Schneiders (see also the work of Schapira-Schneiders) and making assumptions analog to his, we show that the duality functor and the direct image functor commute. As an application, we extend to Lie algebroids some duality properties already known for Lie algebras. Received December 12, 1997; in final form April 8, 1998  相似文献
