We study the action of composition operators on Sobolev spaces of analytic functions having fractional derivatives in some weighted Bergman space or Hardy space on the unit disk. Criteria for when such operators are bounded or compact are given. In particular, we find the precise range of orders of fractional derivatives for which all composition operators are bounded on such spaces. Sharp results about boundedness and compactness of a composition operator are also given when the inducing map is polygonal.

Linear differential equations in Banach spaces are systematically treated with the help of Laplace transforms. The central tool is an “integrated version” of Widder’s theorem (characterizing Laplace transforms of bounded functions). It holds in any Banach space (whereas the vector-valued version of Widder’s theorem itself holds if and only if the Banach space has the Radon-Nikodym property). The Hille-Yosida theorem and other generation theorems are immediate consequences. The method presented here can be applied to operators whose domains are not dense.  相似文献

We know that an operator T acting on a Banach space satisfying generalized Weyl's theorem also satisfies Weyl's theorem. Conversely we show that if all isolated eigenvalues of T are poles of its resolvent and if T satisfies Weyl's theorem, then it also satisfies generalized Weyl's theorem. We give also a sinlilar result for the equivalence of a-Weyl's theorem and generalized a-Weyl's theorem. Using these results, we study the case of polaroid operators, and in particular paranormal operators.  相似文献

We study the regularity of Orlicz–Sobolev functions on metric measure spaces equipped with a doubling measure. We show that each Orlicz–Sobolev function is quasicontinuous and has Lebesgue points outside a set of capacity zero and that the discrete maximal operator is bounded in the Orlicz–Sobolev space. We also show that if the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator is bounded in the Orlicz space $L^{\Psi}(X)We study the regularity of Orlicz–Sobolev functions on metric measure spaces equipped with a doubling measure. We show that holomorphic mappings of bounded type defined on Fréchet spaces extend to the bidual. The relationship between holomorphic mappings of bounded type and of uniformly bounded type is discussed and some algebraic and topological properties of the space of all entire mappings of (uniformly) bounded type are proved, for example a holomorphic version of Schauder's theorem.  相似文献

After proving a generalized version of Garkavi's theorem, we give as applications proofs of existence results on best approximation by polynomials, and fractional linear and holomorphic operators between Banach spaces. We also obtain theorems on best approximation by some types of rational functions defined in open subsets of Banach spaces. By considering a natural non-normable distance we prove that every mapping bounded on the bounded subsets of a Banach space has best approximation by polynomials of degree less than or equal to a fixed natural number n.  相似文献

Two versions of Rubio de Francia’s extrapolation theorem for multivariable operators of functions are obtained. One version assumes an initial estimate with different weights in each space and implies boundedness on all products of Lebesgue spaces. Another version assumes an initial estimate with the same weight but yields boundedness on a product of Lebesgue spaces whose indices lie on a line. Applications are given in the context of multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators. Vector-valued inequalities are automatically obtained for them without developing a multilinear Banach-valued theory. A multilinear extension of the Marcinkiewicz and Zygmund theorem on ℓ2-valued extensions of bounded linear operators is also obtained.  相似文献

We extend Cheeger’s theorem on differentiability of Lipschitz functions in metric measure spaces to the class of functions satisfying Stepanov’s condition. As a consequence, we obtain the analogue of Calderon’s differentiability theorem of Sobolev functions in metric measure spaces satisfying a Poincaré inequality. Radó’s theorem for holomorphic functions asserts that if a continuous function is holomorphic on the complement of its zero locus, then it is holomorphic everywhere. We prove in this paper an equivalent theorem for functions lying in the kernel of a first order differential operator D{\mathcal{D}} such that the Helmholtz operator ∇2+λ can be factorized as the composition [^(D)]D{\widehat{\mathcal{D}}\mathcal{D}} . We also analyse the factorisations [^(D)]D{\widehat{\mathcal{D}}\mathcal{D}} of the Laplace and Helmholtz operators associated to the Clifford analysis and the representations of holomorphic function of several complex variables.  相似文献

We characterize disjoint hypercyclicity and disjoint supercyclicity of finitely many linear fractional composition operators acting on spaces of holomorphic functions on the unit disc, answering a question of Bernal-González. We also study mixing and disjoint mixing behavior of projective limits of endomorphisms of a projective spectrum. In particular, we show that a linear fractional composition operator is mixing on the projective limit of the Sv spaces strictly containing the Dirichlet space if and only if the operator is mixing on the Hardy space.  相似文献

We study the bounded and the compact weighted composition operators from the Bloch space into the weighted Banach spaces of holomorphic functions on bounded homogeneous domains, with particular attention to the unit polydisk. For bounded homogeneous domains, we characterize the bounded weighted composition operators and determine the operator norm. In addition, we provide sufficient conditions for compactness. For the unit polydisk, we completely characterize the compact weighted composition operators, as well as provide "computable" estimates on the operator norm.  相似文献

In the present paper we examine the stability of Weyl’s theorem under perturbations. We show that if T is an isoloid operator on a Banach space, that satisfies Weyl’s theorem, and F is a bounded operator that commutes with T and for which there exists a positive integer n such that Fn is finite rank, then T + F obeys Weyl’s theorem. Further, we establish that if T is finite-isoloid, then Weyl’s theorem is transmitted from T to T + R, for every Riesz operator R commuting with T. Also, we consider an important class of operators that satisfy Weyl’s theorem, and we give a more general perturbation results for this class.  相似文献

The notion of a saddle surface is well known in Euclidean space. In this work we extend the idea of a saddle surface to geodesically connected metric spaces. We prove that any solution of the Dirichlet problem for the Sobolev energy in a nonpositively curved space is a saddle surface. Further, we show that the space of saddle surfaces in a nonpositively curved space is a complete space in the Fréchet distance. We also prove a compactness theorem for saddle surfaces in spaces of curvature bounded from above; in spaces of constant curvature we obtain a stronger result based on an isoperimetric inequality for a saddle surface. These results generalize difficult theorems of S.Z. Shefel' on compactness of saddle surfaces in a Euclidean space.

In this article we study the (small) Hankel operator hb on the Hardy and Bergman spaces on a smoothly bounded convex domain of finite type in ℂn. We completely characterize the Hankel operators hb that are bounded, compact, and belong to the Schatten ideal Sp, for 0 < p < ∞. In particular, if hb denotes the Hankel operator on the Hardy space H2 (Ω), we prove that hb is bounded if and only if b ∈ BMOA, compact if and only if b ∈ VMOA, and in the Schatten class if and only if b ∈e Bp, 0 < p < ∞. This last result extends the analog theorem in the case of the unit disc of Peller [19] and Semmes [21]. In order to characterize the bounded Hankel operators, we prove a factorization theorem for functions in H1 (Ω), a result that is of independent interest.  相似文献

We make a contribution to the theory of embeddings of anisotropic Sobolev spaces into L p -spaces (Sobolev case) and spaces of H?lder continuous functions (Morrey case). In the case of bounded domains the generalized embedding theorems published so far pose quite restrictive conditions on the domain’s geometry (in fact, the domain must be “almost rectangular”). Motivated by the study of some evolutionary PDEs, we introduce the so-called “semirectangular setting”, where the geometry of the domain is compatible with the vector of integrability exponents of the various partial derivatives, and show that the validity of the embedding theorems can be extended to this case. Second, we discuss the a priori integrability requirement of the Sobolev anisotropic embedding theorem and show that under a purely algebraic condition on the vector of exponents, this requirement can be weakened. Lastly, we present a counterexample showing that for domains with general shapes the embeddings indeed do not hold.  相似文献

This paper discusses the Fredholmness of multipliers on Hardy–Sobolev Spaces and obtains an index formula for the multipliers with some special symbols. Our results show that Hardy–Sobolev spaces have richer properties than classical holomorphic function spaces, and the behavior of the operators on these spaces is complex. Some methods of Hardy or Bergman spaces fail in the case of the Hardy–Sobolev space.  相似文献

We consider the topological space of all weighted composition operators on weighted Bergman spaces of infinite order endowed with the operator norm. We show that the set of compact weighted composition operators is path connected. Furthermore, we find conditions to ensure that two weighted composition operators are in the same path connected component if the difference of them is compact. Moreover, we compare the topologies induced by L(H) and L(Hv) on the space of bounded composition operators and give a sufficient condition for a composition operator to be isolated.  相似文献

Abstract. Let be open,X a Banach space and . We show that every is holomorphic if and only if every set inX is bounded. Things are different if we assume f to be locally bounded. Then we show that it suffices that is holomorphic for all , where W is a separating subspace of to deduce that f is holomorphic. Boundary Tauberian convergence and membership theorems are proved. Namely, if boundary values (in a weak sense) of a sequence of holomorphic functions converge/belong to a closed subspace on a subset of the boundary having positive Lebesgue measure, then the same is true for the interior points of , uniformly on compact subsets. Some extra global majorants are requested. These results depend on a distance Jensen inequality. Several examples are provided (bounded and compact operators; Toeplitz and Hankel operators; Fourier multipliers and small multipliers). Summary We study the bounded sets in the space of holomorphic germs defined on compact subsets of non-metrizable locally convex spaces. We relate this problem to the problem of existence of uniform Cauchy estimates for the bounded subsets. We show that the space of holomorphic germs defined on a compact subset of a reflexive dual Fréchet space is regular if the bounded subsets of the space of holomorphic germs defined at the origin have uniform Cauchy estimates.  相似文献
