The difference schemes of Richardson [1] and of Crank-Nicolson [2] are schemes providing second-order approximation. Richardson's three-time-level difference scheme is explicit but unstable and the Crank-Nicolson two-time-level difference scheme is stable but implicit. Explicit numerical methods are preferable for parallel computations. In this paper, an explicit three-time-level difference scheme of the second order of accuracy is constructed for parabolic equations by combining Richardson's scheme with that of Crank-Nicolson. We introduce the concept of a disjoint partial difference family (DPDF) and an external partial difference family (EPDF), a natural generalization of the much-studied disjoint difference family (DDF), external difference family (EDF) and partial difference set (PDS). We establish properties and indicate connections to other recently-studied combinatorial structures. We show how DPDFs and EPDFs may be formed from PDSs, and present various cyclotomic constructions for DPDFs and EPDFs. As part of this, we develop a unified cyclotomic framework, which yields some known results on PDSs, DDFs and EDFs as special cases.  相似文献

In this paper, we present two constructions of divisible difference sets based on skew Hadamard difference sets. A special class of Hadamard difference sets, which can be derived from a skew Hadamard difference set and a Paley type regular partial difference set respectively in two groups of orders v 1 and v 2 with |v 1 − v 2| = 2, is contained in these constructions. Some result on inequivalence of skew Hadamard difference sets is also given in the paper. As a consequence of Delsarte’s theorem, the dual set of skew Hadamard difference set is also a skew Hadamard difference set in an abelian group. We show that there are seven pairwisely inequivalent skew Hadamard difference sets in the elementary abelian group of order 35 or 37, and also at least four pairwisely inequivalent skew Hadamard difference sets in the elementary abelian group of order 39. Furthermore, the skew Hadamard difference sets deduced by Ree-Tits slice symplectic spreads are the dual sets of each other when q ≤ 311.   相似文献

In this paper, several recursive constructions for directed difference family and perfect directed difference family are presented by means of difference matrix and incomplete difference matrix. Finally the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a (gv, g, 3, λ)-directed difference family in Zgv are established.
