In this paper, we propose a method for designing continuous gain-scheduled worst-case controller for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems under actuator saturation and unknown information. The stochastic nonlinear system under study is governed by a finite-state Markov process, but with partially known jump rate from one mode to another. Initially, a gradient linearization procedure is applied to describe such nonlinear systems by several model-based linear systems. Next, by investigating a convex hull set, the actuator saturation is transferred into several linear controllers. Moreover, worst-case controllers are established for each linear model in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a continuous gain-scheduled approach is employed to design continuous nonlinear controllers for the whole nonlinear jump system. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed techniques.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with numerical methods for solving a semi-infinite programming problem. We reformulate the equations and nonlinear complementarity conditions of the first order optimality condition of the problem into a system of semismooth equations. By using a perturbed Fischer–Burmeister function, we develop a smoothing Newton method for solving this system of semismooth equations. An advantage of the proposed method is that at each iteration, only a system of linear equations is solved. We prove that under standard assumptions, the iterate sequence generated by the smoothing Newton method converges superlinearly/quadratically.  相似文献

We study the problem of solving a constrained system of nonlinear equations by a combination of the classical damped Newton method for (unconstrained) smooth equations and the recent interior point potential reduction methods for linear programs, linear and nonlinear complementarity problems. In general, constrained equations provide a unified formulation for many mathematical programming problems, including complementarity problems of various kinds and the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker systems of variational inequalities and nonlinear programs. Combining ideas from the damped Newton and interior point methods, we present an iterative algorithm for solving a constrained system of equations and investigate its convergence properties. Specialization of the algorithm and its convergence analysis to complementarity problems of various kinds and the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker systems of variational inequalities are discussed in detail. We also report the computational results of the implementation of the algorithm for solving several classes of convex programs. In this work we present a new Tau method for the solution of nonlinear systems of differential equations which are linear in the derivative of highest order and polynomial in the remaining. We avoid the linearization of the problem by associating to it a nonlinear algebraic system and combine a forward substitution with the Tau method. We develop an adaptive step by step version of this alternative nonlinear tau method and we apply it to several nonlinear dynamical systems.  相似文献

We consider the so-called bilocal neuron model, which is a special system of two nonlinear delay differential equations coupled by linear diffusion terms. The system is invariant under the interchange of phase variables. We prove that, under an appropriate choice of parameters, the system under study has a stable relaxation cycle whose components turn into each other under a certain phase shift.  相似文献

We show that an undiscounted stochastic game possesses optimal stationary strategies if and only if a global minimum with objective value zero can be found to an appropriate nonlinear program with linear constraints. This nonlinear program arises as a method for solving a certain bilinear system, satisfaction of which is also equivalent to finding a stationary optimal solution for the game. The objective function of the program is a nonnegatively valued quadric polynomial. This research was supported in part by the National Science Foundation under the grant #ECS-8503440. We prove the nonlinear stability or instability of certain periodic equilibria of the 1½D relativistic Vlasov‐Maxwell system. In particular, for a purely magnetic equilibrium with vanishing electric field, we prove its nonlinear stability under a sharp criterion by extending the usual Casimir‐energy method in several new ways. For a general electromagnetic equilibrium we prove that nonlinear instability follows from linear instability. The nonlinear instability is macroscopic, involving only the L1‐norms of the electromagnetic fields. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

We consider a discrete-time GALERKIN method for nonlinear evolution equations. We prove convergence properties of this method under various hypotheses. Moreover, we deal with iteration methods reducing the nonlinear GALERKIN equations to linear equations in finite dimensional spaces.  相似文献

This paper presents the control and synchronization of chaos by designing linear feedback controllers. The linear feedback control problem for nonlinear systems has been formulated under optimal control theory viewpoint. Asymptotic stability of the closed-loop nonlinear system is guaranteed by means of a Lyapunov function which can clearly be seen to be the solution of the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation thus guaranteeing both stability and optimality. The formulated theorem expresses explicitly the form of minimized functional and gives the sufficient conditions that allow using the linear feedback control for nonlinear system. The numerical simulations were provided in order to show the effectiveness of this method for the control of the chaotic Rössler system and synchronization of the hyperchaotic Rössler system.  相似文献
