A simple characterization of the subalgebra systems of direct powers of finitary universal algebras on a fixed infinite setA is given. For |I|≥|A| such subalgebra system of anI-power is precisely an algebraic closure systemS onA I closed under mutations ofI (which encompass both the precomposition by permutations ofI and allowing the values at specified elements ofI to become unrestricted) and such that each function in the intersection ofS is constant. For |I|<|A| the subalgebra systems ofI-powers are obtained as the restrictions toI of such closure systems on someA J withJI and |J|=|A|. Presented by J. D. Monk.  相似文献

Let AMB be a QF-bimodule, A a left Artinian ring, B a right Artinian ring, G a semigroup with a unit element (a monoid). Let MG be the set of all functions on G with values in M. Consider MG as an (AG, BG)-bimodule over the semigroup rings AG and BG. It is proved that the annihilator maps IrMG (I) and RlAG (R) are mutually inverse bijective Galois correspondences between the set of finitely cogenerated left ideals I ? AG and the set of right BG-submodules R ? MG finitely generated over B. The maps JlMG (J) and LrAG (L) are mutually inverse bijective Galois correspondences between the set of finitely cogenerated right ideals J ? AG and the set of left AG-submodules L ? MG finitely generated over A. This result also makes it possible, starting from a given QF-bimodule A MB , to construct new QF-bimodules AG/ISBG/J as bimodules of functions on a semigroup with values in M.  相似文献

Given a locally compact group G, let J(G){\cal J}(G) denote the set of closed left ideals in L 1(G), of the form J μ = [L1(G) * (δ e − μ)], where μ is a probability measure on G. Let Jd(G)={\cal J}_d(G)= {Jm;m is discrete}\{J_{\mu};\mu\ {\rm is discrete}\} , Ja(G)={Jm;m is absolutely continuous}{\cal J}_a(G)=\{J_{\mu};\mu\ {\rm is absolutely continuous}\} . When G is a second countable [SIN] group, we prove that J(G)=Jd(G){\cal J}(G)={\cal J}_d(G) and that Ja(G){\cal J}_a(G) , being a proper subset of J(G){\cal J}(G) when G is nondiscrete, contains every maximal element of J(G){\cal J}(G) . Some results concerning the ideals J μ in general locally compact second countable groups are also obtained.  相似文献

LetR be a ring and σ an automorphism ofR. We prove the following results: (i)J(R σ[x])={Σiri x i:r0IJ(R]), r iI for alliε 1} whereI↪ {rR:rxJ(R Σ[x])|s= (ii)J(R σ<x>)=(J(R σ<x>)∩R)σ<x>. As an application of the second result we prove that ifG is a solvable group such thatG andR, + have disjoint torsions thenJ(R)=0 impliesJ(R(G))=0.  相似文献

LetG be a group,ZG the integral group ring ofG andI(G) its augmentation ideal. Subgroups determined by certain ideals ofZG contained inI(G) are identified. For example, whenG=HK, whereH, K are normal subgroups ofG andHK⊆ζ(H), then the subgroups ofG determined byI(G)I(H)I(G), andI 3(G)I(H) are obtained. The subgroups of any groupG with normal subgroupH determined by (i)I 2(G)I(H)+I(G)I(H)I(G)+I(H)I2(G), whenH′⊆[H,G,G] and (ii)I(G)I(H)I(G) when degH 2(G/H′, T)≤1, are computed. the subgroup ofG determined byI n(G)+I(G)I(H) whenH is a normal subgroup ofG withG/H free Abelian is also obtained  相似文献

In a two dimensional regular local ring integrally closed ideals have a unique factorization property and their associated graded ring is Cohen–Macaulay. In higher dimension these properties do not hold and the goal of the paper is to identify a subclass of integrally closed ideals for which they do. We restrict our attention to 0-dimensional homogeneous ideals in polynomial rings R of arbitrary dimension. We identify a class of integrally closed ideals, the Goto-class G*{\mathcal {G}^*}, which is closed under product and it has a suitable unique factorization property. Ideals in G*{\mathcal {G}^*} have a Cohen–Macaulay associated graded ring if either they are monomial or dim R ≤ 3. Our approach is based on the study of the relationship between the notions of integrally closed, contracted, full and componentwise linear ideals.  相似文献

LetG denote either of the groupsGL 2(q) or SL2(q). Then θ :GG given by θ(A) = (A t)t, whereA t denotes the transpose of the matrixA, is an automorphism ofG. Therefore we may form the groupG.θ> which is the split extension of the groupG by the cyclic group θ of order 2. Our aim in this paper is to find the complex irreducible character table ofG. θ.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a tower {A n G: n} ≥ 1 of finite-dimensional algebras; here, G represents an arbitrary finite group,d denotes a complex parameter, and the algebraA n G(d) has a basis indexed by ‘G-stable equivalence relations’ on a set whereG acts freely and has 2n orbits. We show that the algebraA n G(d) is semi-simple for all but a finite set of values ofd, and determine the representation theory (or, equivalently, the decomposition into simple summands) of this algebra in the ‘generic case’. Finally we determine the Bratteli diagram of the tower {A n G(d): n} ≥ 1 (in the generic case).  相似文献

An axiomatic formulation is presented for point processes which may be interpreted as ordered sequences of points randomly located on the real line. Such concepts as forward recurrence times and number of points in intervals are defined and related in set-theoretic Note that for α∈A,G α may not coverG α as a convex subgroup and so we cannot use Theorem 1.1 to prove this result. Moreover, all that we know about theG α/Gα is that each is an extension of a trivially ordered subgroup by a subgroup ofR. ItB is a plenary subset ofA, then there exists av-isomorphism μ ofG intoV(B, G β/Gβ), but whether or not μ is ano-isomorphism is not known. UniversalC*-algebrasC*(A) exist for certain topological *-algebras called algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. A Frechet *-algebraA has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if every operator representation ofA mapsA into bounded operators. This is proved by showing that every unbounded operator representation π, continuous in the uniform topology, of a topological *-algebraA, which is an inverse limit of Banach *-algebras, is a direct sum of bounded operator representations, thereby factoring through the enveloping pro-C*-algebraE(A) ofA. Given aC*-dynamical system (G,A,α), any topological *-algebraB containingC c (G,A) as a dense *-subalgebra and contained in the crossed productC*-algebraC*(G,A,α) satisfiesE(B) =C*(G,A,α). IfG = ℝ, ifB is an α-invariant dense Frechet *-subalgebra ofA such thatE(B) =A, and if the action α onB ism-tempered, smooth and by continuous *-automorphisms: then the smooth Schwartz crossed productS(ℝ,B,α) satisfiesE(S(ℝ,B,α)) =C*(ℝ,A,α). WhenG is a Lie group, theC -elementsC (A), the analytic elementsC ω(A) as well as the entire analytic elementsC є(A) carry natural topologies making them algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. Given a non-unitalC*-algebraA, an inductive system of idealsI α is constructed satisfyingA =C*-ind limI α; and the locally convex inductive limit ind limI α is anm-convex algebra with theC*-enveloping algebraA and containing the Pedersen idealK a ofA. Given generatorsG with weakly Banach admissible relationsR, we construct universal topological *-algebraA(G, R) and show that it has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if (G, R) isC*-admissible.  相似文献
