Let T be a linear operator on the vector space V ofn×n matrices over a field F. We discuss two types of problems in this chapter. First, what can we say about T if we assume that T maps a given algebraic set such as the special linear group into itself? Second, let p(x) be a polynomial function (such as det) on V into F. What can we say about T if Tpreserves p(x), i.e. p(T(X)) = p(X) for all X in V?  相似文献

Let X be a Banach space over F(= R or C) with dimension greater than 2. Let N(X) be the set of all nilpotent operators and B_0(X) the set spanned by N(X). We give a structure result to the additive maps on FI + B_0(X) that preserve rank-1 perturbation of scalars in both directions. Based on it, a characterization of surjective additive maps on FI + B_0(X) that preserve nilpotent perturbation of scalars in both directions are obtained. Such a map Φ has the form either Φ(T) = cAT A~(-1)+ φ(T)I for all T ∈ FI + B_0(X) or Φ(T) = cAT*A~(-1)+ φ(T)I for all T ∈ FI + B_0(X), where c is a nonzero scalar,A is a τ-linear bijective transformation for some automorphism τ of F and φ is an additive functional. In addition, if dim X = ∞, then A is in fact a linear or conjugate linear invertible bounded operator.  相似文献

Let T be a linear operator on the space of all m×n matrices over any field. we prove that if T maps rank-2 matrices to rank-2 matrices then there exist nonsingular matrices U and V such that either T(X)=UXV for all matrices X, or m=n and T(X)=UXtV for all matrices X where Xt denotes the transpose of X.  相似文献

Let T:XX be a continuous map of a compact metric space X. A point xX is called Banach recurrent point if for all neighborhood V of x, {n ∈ N:Tn(x) ∈ V } has positive upper Banach density. Denote by Tr(T), W(T), QW(T) and BR(T) the sets of transitive points, weakly almost periodic points, quasi-weakly almost periodic points and Banach recurrent points of (X, T). If (X, T) has the specification property, then we show that every transitive point is Banach recurrent and ∅≠W(T) ∩ Tr(T) W*(T) ∩ Tr(T) QW(T) ∩ Tr(T) BR(T) ∩ Tr(T), in which W*(T) is a recurrent points set related to an open question posed by Zhou and Feng. Specifically the set Tr(T) ∩ W*(T)\W(T) is residual in X. Moreover, we construct a point xBR\QW in symbol dynamical system, and demonstrate that the sets W(T), QW(T) and BR(T) of a dynamical system are all Borel sets.  相似文献

The explicit formulas of Riemann and Guinand-Weil relate the set of prime numbers with the set of nontrivial zeros of the zeta function of Riemann. We recall Alain Connes’ spectral interpretation of the critical zeros of the Riemann zeta function as eigenvalues of the absorption spectrum of an unbounded operator in a suitable Hilbert space. We then give a spectral interpretation of the zeros of the Dedekind zeta function of an algebraic number field K of degree n in an automorphic setting.

If K is a complex quadratic field, the torical forms are the functions defined on the modular surface X, such that the sum of this function over the “Gauss set” of K is zero, and Eisenstein series provide such torical forms.

In the case of a general number field, one can associate to K a maximal torus T of the general linear group G. The torical forms are the functions defined on the modular variety X associated to G, such that the integral over the subvariety induced by T is zero. Alternately, the torical forms are the functions which are orthogonal to orbital series on X.

We show here that the Riemann hypothesis is equivalent to certain conditions bearing on spaces of torical forms, constructed from Eisenstein series, the torical wave packets. Furthermore, we define a Hilbert space and a self-adjoint operator on this space, whose spectrum equals the set of critical zeros of the Dedekind zeta function of K.  相似文献

Zero-term rank preservers   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
We obtain characterizations of those linear operators that preserve zero-term rank on the m×n matrices over antinegative semirings. That is, a linear operator T preserves zero-term rank if and only if it has the form T(X)=P(BX)Q, where P, Q are permutation matrices and BX is the Schur product with B whose entries are all nonzero and not zero-divisors.  相似文献

Consider the following Itô stochastic differential equation dX(t) = ƒ(θ0, X(t)) dt + dW(t), where (W(t), t 0), is a standard Wiener process in RN. On the basis of discrete data 0 = t0 < t1 < …<tn = T; X(t1),...,X(tn) we would like to estimate the parameter θ0. We shall define the least squares estimator and show that under some regularity conditions, is strongly consistent.  相似文献

Let X be a set of vectors in Rm. X is said to be a Hilbert base if every vector in Rm which can be written both as a linear combination of members of X with nonnegative coefficients and as a linear combination with integer coefficients can also be written as a linear combination with nonnegative integer coefficients. Denote by H the collection of the graphs whose family of cuts is a Hilbert base. It is known that K5 and graphs with no K5-minor belong to H and that K6 does not belong to H. We show that every proper subgraph of K6 belongs to H and that every graph from H does not have K6 as a minor. We also study how the class H behaves under several operations.  相似文献

If X and Y are Hausdorff spaces with X locally compact, then the compact-open topology on the set C(X,Y) of continuous maps from X to Y is known to produce the right function-space topology. But it is also known to fail badly to be locally compact, even when Y is locally compact. We show that for any Tychonoff space Y, there is a densely injective space Z containing Y as a densely embedded subspace such that, for every locally compact space X, the set C(X,Z) has a compact Hausdorff topology whose relative topology on C(X,Y) is the compact-open topology. The following are derived as corollaries: (1) If X and Y are compact Hausdorff spaces then C(X,Y) under the compact-open topology is embedded into the Vietoris hyperspace V(X×Y). (2) The space of real-valued continuous functions on a locally compact Hausdorff space under the compact-open topology is embedded into a compact Hausdorff space whose points are pairs of extended real-valued functions, one lower and the other upper semicontinuous. The first application is generalized in two ways.  相似文献

Let(X, ω) be a compact Hermitian manifold of complex dimension n. In this article,we first survey recent progress towards Grauert–Riemenschneider type criteria. Secondly, we give a simplified proof of Boucksom's conjecture given by the author under the assumption that the Hermitian metric ω satisfies ?■ω~l= for all l, i.e., if T is a closed positive current on X such that ∫_XT_(ac)~n 0, then the class {T } is big and X is Kahler. Finally, as an easy observation, we point out that Nguyen's result can be generalized as follows: if ?■ω = 0, and T is a closed positive current with analytic singularities, such that ∫_XT_(ac)~n 0, then the class {T} is big and X is Kahler.  相似文献
