In this article we obtain asymptotic formulas for eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the self‐adjoint operator generated by a system of Sturm–Liouville equations with summable coefficients and quasiperiodic boundary conditions. Then using these asymptotic formulas, we find conditions on the potential for which the number of gaps in the spectrum of the Hill's operator with matrix potential is finite. By analyzing a system of integro-differential equations of the Volterra-Stieltjes type, for large parameter values, we obtain asymptotic formulas for a linearly independent system of solutions of ordinary differential equations with generalized functions in coefficients. These solutions permit one to construct asymptotic formulas for the eigenvalues of a boundary value problem in the case of regular boundary conditions.  相似文献

We develop spectral and asymptotic analysis for a class of nonselfadjoint operators which are the dynamics generators for the systems governed by the equations of the spatially nonhomogeneous Timoshenko beam model with a 2–parameter family of dissipative boundary conditions. Our results split into two groups. We prove asymptotic formulas for the spectra of the aforementioned operators (the spectrum of each operator consists of two branches of discrete complex eigenvalues and each branch has only two points of accumulation: +∞ and —∞), and for their generalized eigenvectors. Our second main result is the fact that these operators are Riesz spectral. To obtain this result, we prove that the systems of generalized eigenvectors form Riesz bases in the corresponding energy spaces. We also obtain the asymptotics of the spectra and the eigenfunctions for the nonselfadjoint polynomial operator pencils associated with these operators. The pencil asymptotics are essential for the proofs of the spectral results for the aforementioned dynamics generators.  相似文献

Using dichotomies and periodic conditions, we obtain asymptotic formulas for solutions of a difference system of Poincaré type with periodic coefficients. Some results about the theory of existence of periodic solutions for linear difference systems are presented. The eigenvalue problem for the Laplace operator with the Neumann boundary conditions in a domain that has a thin spike of finite length is considered for the case in which the limit value is an eigenvalue both for the main body and the spike. Recently there has been a renewed interest in asymptotic Euler–MacLaurin formulas, because of their applications to spectral theory of differential operators. Using elementary means, we recover such formulas for compactly supported smooth functions on intervals, polygons, and three-dimensional polytopes, where the coefficients in the asymptotic expansion are sums of differential operators involving only derivatives of the function in directions normal to the faces of the polytope. The path integtation method is used to obtain the asymptotic behavior of the ratio Z/Z0 for a model of the BCS type (Z is the statistical sum of the model, Z0 is the statistical sum of the free system) in the limit V → ∞. The asymptotic formulas for Z/Z0 are different above and below the transition and are expressed in terms of infinite products. 讨论了具有热储备和两个独立相同部件的平行系统在由常规错误引起失效下的渐进稳定性.首先,利用Banach空间的Volttera算子方程得到了非负动态解的存在唯一性;然后,利用强连续线性算子半群理论证明了系统正的动态解的存在唯一性,而由于初始值不在定义域内,故得到的是mild解.但在t>0时系统古典解存在唯一,所以此时mild解即为古典解.最后,利用线性算子半群稳定性的结果,证明了该动态解在范数意义下收敛到稳态解,进而得到了系统的渐进稳定性.  相似文献

In this paper, we generalize the concept of asymptotic Hankel operators on H2(D) to the Hardy space H2(Dn) (over polydisk) in terms of asymptotic Hankel and partial asymptotic Hankel operators and investigate some properties in case of its weak and strong convergence. Meanwhile, we introduce ith-partial Hankel operators on H2(Dn) and obtain a characterization of its compactness for n > 1. Our main results include the containment of Toeplitz algebra in the collection of all strong partial asymptotic Hankel operators on H2(Dn). It is also shown that a Toeplitz operator with symbol φ is asymptotic Hankel if and only if φ is holomorphic function in L(Tn).  相似文献
