In this paper,we study two-dimensional Riemann boundary value problems of Euler system for the isentropic and irrotational Chaplygin gas with initial data being two constant states given in two sectors respectively, where one sector is a quadrant and the other one has an acute vertex angle. We prove that the Riemann boundary value problem admits a global self-similar solution,if either the initial states are close,or the smaller sector is also near a quadrant. Our result can be applied to solving the problem of shock reflection by a ramp.  相似文献

ON INTERACTION OF SHOCK AND SOUND WAVE (I)   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
This paper studies the interaction of shock and gradient wave (sound wave) of solutions to the system of inviscid isentropic gas dynamics as a model for the corresponding problems for nonlinear hyperbolic systems. The problem can be reduced to a boundary value problem in a wedged dormain, By using the method of constructing asymptotic solutions and Newton‘siteration process it is proved that if a weak shock hits a gradient wave, then the grandient wave will split into two gradient waves, while the shock continuses propagating. In this paper the author reduces the problem to a standard form and constructs asymptotic solution of the problem. The existence of the genuine solution will he given in the following paper.  相似文献

The numerical approximation of the Spectral-Lagrangian scheme developed by the authors in [30] for a wide range of homogeneous non-linear Boltzmann type equations is extended to the space inhomogeneous case and several shock problems are benchmark. Recognizing that the Boltzmann equation is an important tool in the analysis of formation of shock and boundary layer structures, we present the computational algorithm in Section 3.3 and perform a numerical study case in shock tube geometries well modeled in for ID in x times 3D in v in Section 4. The classic Riemann problem is numerically analyzed for Knudsen numbers close to continuum. The shock tube problem of Aoki et al [2], where the wall temperature is suddenly increased or decreased, is also studied. We consider the problem of heat transfer between two parallel plates with diffusive boundary conditions for a range of Knudsen numbers from close to continuum to a highly rarefied state. Finally, the classical infinite shock tube problem that generates a non-moving shock wave is studied. The point worth noting in this example is that the flow in the final case turns from a supersonic flow to a subsonic flow across the shock.  相似文献

The transition from a deflagration to a detonation (DDT) in gas dynamics is investigated through the process of a deflagration with a imite width flame overtaken by a shock. The problem is formulated as a free boundary value problem in an angular domain with a strong detonation and a reflected shock as boundaries. The main difficulty lies in the fact that the strength of reflected shock is zero at the vertex where the shock speed degenerates to be the same as the characteristic speed. The conclusion is that a strong detonation and a retonation (a reflected shock) form locally. Also the entropy satisfaction of this solution is presented.  相似文献

The non-selfsimilar Riemann problem for two-dimensional zero-pressure flow in gas dynamics with two constant states separated by a convex curve is considered.By means of the generalized Rankine-Hugoniot relation and the generalized characteristic analysis method, the global solution involving delta shock wave and vacuum is constructed. The explicit solution for a special case is also given.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with an initial boundary value problem for strictly convex conservation laws whose weak entropy solution is in the piecewise smooth solution class consisting of finitely many discontinuities. By the structure of the weak entropy solution of the corresponding initial value problem and the boundary entropy condition developed by Bardos-Leroux Nedelec, we give a construction method to the weak entropy solution of the initial boundary value problem. Compared with the initial value problem, the weak entropy solution of the initial boundary value problem includes the following new interaction type: an expansion wave collides with the boundary and the boundary reflects a new shock wave which is tangent to the boundary. According to the structure and some global estimates of the weak entropy solution, we derive the global L^1-error estimate for viscous methods to this initial boundary value problem by using the matching travelling wave solutions method. If the inviscid solution includes the interaction that an expansion wave collides with the boundary and the boundary reflects a new shock wave which is tangent to the boundary, or the inviscid solution includes some shock wave which is tangent to the boundary, then the error of the viscosity solution to the inviscid solution is bounded by O(ε^1/2) in L^1-norm; otherwise, as in the initial value problem, the L^1-error bound is O(ε| In ε|).  相似文献

The value of a European option satisfies the Black-Scholes equation with appropriately specified final and boundary conditions. We transform the problem to an initial boundary value problem in dimensionless form. There are two parameters in the coefficients of the resulting linear parabolic partial differential equation. For a range of values of these parameters, the solution of the problem has a boundary or an initial layer. The initial function has a discontinuity in the first-order derivative, which leads to the appearance of an interior layer. We construct analytically the asymptotic solution of the equation in a finite domain.Based on the asymptotic solution we can determine the size of the artificial boundary such that the required solution in a finite domain in x and at the final time is not affected by the boundary. Also,we study computationally the behaviour in the maximum norm of the errors in numerical solutions in cases such that one of the parameters varies from finite (or pretty large) to small values, while the other parameter is fixed and takes either finite (or pretty large) or small values. Crank-Nicolson explicit and implicit schemes using centered or upwind approximations to the derivative are studied. We present numerical computations, which determine experimentally the parameter-uniform rates of convergence. We note that this rate is rather weak, due probably to mixed sources of error such as initial and boundary layers and the discontinuity in the derivative of the solution.  相似文献

We investigate the zero dissipation limit problem of the one-dimensional compressible isentropic Navier-Stokes equations with Riemann initial data in the case of the composite wave of two shock waves. It is shown that the unique solution to the Navier-Stokes equations exists for all time, and converges to the Riemann solution to the corresponding Euler equations with the same Riemann initial data uniformly on the set away from the shocks,as the viscosity vanishes. In contrast to previous related works, where either the composite wave is absent or the efects of initial layers are ignored, this gives the frst mathematical justifcation of this limit for the compressible isentropic Navier-Stokes equations in the presence of both composite wave and initial layers. Our method of proof consists of a scaling argument, the construction of the approximate solution and delicate energy estimates.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the local structural stability of one-dimensional shock waves in radiation hydrodynamics described by the isentropic Euler-Boltzmann equations. Even though in this radiation hydrodynamics model, the radiative effects can be understood as source terms to the isentropic Euler equations of hydrodynamics, in general the radiation field has singularities propagated in an angular domain issuing from the initial point across which the density is discontinuous. This is the major difficulty in the stability analysis of shocks. Under certain assumptions on the radiation parameters, we show there exists a local weak solution to the initial value problem of the one dimensional Euler-Boltzmann equations, in which the radiation intensity is continuous, while the density and velocity are piecewise Lipschitz continuous with a strong discontinuity representing the shock-front. The existence of such a solution indicates that shock waves are structurally stable, at least local in time, in radiation hydrodynamics.  相似文献

PLANE ELASTIC PROBLEMS OF DIFFERENT MEDIA WITH CRACKS ON THE INTERFACE   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The equllibrium problem for the infinite elastic plane consisting of two different media with many cracks on the interface is discussed. It is transferred to a boundary value problem for analytic functions and then further reduced to a singular integral equation, the unique solvability and an effective method of solution for which are eatablished.A practical example in applications is illustrated, the solution of which is obtained in closed form.  相似文献

Semi-hyperbolic patches are the regions in which one family out of two nonlinear families of characteristics starts on sonic curves and ends on transonic shock waves. This type of region appears frequently in the two-dimensional Riemann problem for the Euler equations and its simplified models and a few other situations. We construct a semi-hyperbolic patch of solution to the two-dimensional nonlinear wave system with Chaplygin gas equation of state by approaching the problem as a Goursat-type boundary value problem which has a sonic curve as the degenerate boundary.  相似文献

This work is a continuation of our previous work. In the present paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of global piecewise C1 solutions with shock waves to the generalized Riemann problem for general quasilinear hyperbolic systems of conservation laws with linear damping in the presence of a boundary. It is shown that the generalized Riemann problem for general quasilinear hyperbolic systems of conservation laws with linear damping with nonlinear boundary conditions in the half space {(t, x) | t ≥ 0, x ≥ 0} admits a unique global piecewise C1 solution u = u (t, x) containing only shock waves with small amplitude and this solution possesses a global structure similar to that of a self‐similar solution u = U (x /t) of the corresponding homogeneous Riemann problem, if each characteristic field with positive velocity is genuinely nonlinear and the corresponding homogeneous Riemann problem has only shock waves but no rarefaction waves and contact discontinuities. This result is also applied to shock reflection for the flow equations of a model class of fluids with viscosity induced by fading memory. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. The analytical solutions of the Riemann problem for the isentropic Euler system with the logarithmic equation of state are derived explicitly for all the five different cases. The concentration and cavitation phenomena are observed and analyzed during the process of vanishing pressure in the Riemann solutions. It is shown that the solution consisting of two shock waves converges to a delta shock wave solution as well as the solution consisting of two rarefaction waves converges to a solution consisting of four contact discontinuities together with vacuum states with three different virtual velocities in the limiting situation.  相似文献

In this paper, firstly,by solving the Riemann problem of the zero-pressure flow in gas dynamics with a flux approximation,we construct parameterized delta-shock and constant density solutions, then we show that,as the flux perturbation vanishes, they converge to the delta-shock and vacuum state solutions of the zero-pressure flow, respectively.Secondly,we solve the Riemann problem of the Euler equations of isentropic gas dynamics with a double parameter flux approximation including pressure.Furthermore,we rigorously prove that,as the two-parameter flux perturbation vanishes, any Riemann solution containing two shock waves tends to a delta-shock solution to the zero-pressure flow;any Riemann solution containing two rarefaction waves tends to a two-contact-discontinuity solution to the zero-pressure flow and the nonvacuum intermediate state in between tends to a vacuum state. Finally, numerical results are given to present the formation processes of delta shock waves and vacuum states.  相似文献

The solutions to the Riemann problem for a nonsymmetric system of Keyfitz-Kranzer type are constructed explicitly when the initial data are located in the quarter phase plane. In particular, some singular hyperbolic waves are discovered when one of the Riemann initial data is located on the boundary of the quarter phase plane, such as the delta shock wave and some composite waves in which the contact discontinuity coincides with the shock wave or the wave back of rarefaction wave. The double Riemann problem for this system with three piecewise constant states is also considered when the delta shock wave is involved. Furthermore, the global solutions to the double Riemann problem are constructed through studying the interaction between the delta shock wave and the other elementary waves by using the method of characteristics. Some interesting nonlinear phenomena are discovered during the process of constructing solutions; for example, a delta shock wave is decomposed into a delta contact discontinuity and a shock wave.  相似文献

The formation of vacuum state and delta shock wave are observed and studied in the limits of Riemann solutions for the one-dimensional isentropic drift-flux model of compressible two-phase flows by letting the pressure in the mixture momentum equation tend to zero. It is shown that the Riemann solution containing two rarefaction waves and one contact discontinuity turns out to be the solution containing two contact discontinuities with the vacuum state between them in the limiting situation. By comparison, it is also proved rigorously in the sense of distributions that the Riemann solution containing two shock waves and one contact discontinuity converges to a delta shock wave solution under this vanishing pressure limit.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the Riemann problem for gas dynamic equations governing a one dimensional flow of van der Waals gases. The existence and uniqueness of shocks, contact discontinuities, simple wave solutions are discussed using R-H conditions and Lax conditions. The explicit form of solutions for shocks, contact discontinuities and simple waves are derived. The effects of van der Waals parameter on the shock and simple waves are studied. A condition is derived on the initial data for the existence of a solution to the Riemann problem. Moreover, a necessary and sufficient condition is derived on the initial data which gives the information about the existence of a shock wave or a simple wave for a 1-family and a 3-family of characteristics in the solution of the Riemann problem.  相似文献

We present the existence of the subsonic solution to a two-dimensional Riemann problem governed by a self-similar nonlinear wave equation where the boundary of the subsonic region consists of a transonic shock and the sonic circle. Thus the governing equation becomes a free boundary problem on the transonic shock and degenerates on the sonic circle. By utilizing the barrier methods and iterative methods, we show the well-posedness of the transonic shock in the entire subsonic region and thus establish the global solution. This result does not rely on any smallness of Riemann data.  相似文献
