It is shown that a formal mapping between two real-analytic hypersurfaces in complex space is convergent provided that neither hypersurface contains a nontrivial holomorphic variety. For higher codimensional generic submanifolds, convergence is proved e.g. under the assumption that the source is of finite type, the target does not contain a nontrivial holomorphic variety, and the mapping is finite. Finite determination (by jets of a predetermined order) of formal mappings between smooth generic submanifolds is also established.

We prove finite jet determination results for smooth CR embeddings, which are of constant degeneracy, using the method of complete systems. As an application, we obtain a reflection principle for mappings between a Levinondegenerate hypersurface in N and a Levinondegenerate hypersurface in N+1.We also give an independent proof of the reflection principle for mappings between strictly pseudoconvex hypersurfaces in any codimension due to Forstneric [14].  相似文献

We show that if the group of holomorphic automorphisms of a connected complex manifold M of dimension n is isomorphic as a topological group equipped with the compact-open topology to the automorphism group of the unit ball B n ⊂ ℂ n ,then M is biholomorphically equivalent to B n.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the problem of distortion theorems for mappings which map the unit ball biholomorphically onto convex domains in ℂ n . In particular, we discuss two distortion conjectures for such mappings.  相似文献

The following result is proved: Let D and D′ be bounded domains in ℂ n , ∂D is smooth, real-analytic, simply connected, and ∂D′ is connected, smooth, real-algebraic. Then there exists a proper holomorphic correspondence f:DD′ if and only if there exist points p∈∂D and p′∈∂D′, such that ∂D and ∂D′ are locally CR-equivalent near p and p′. This leads to a characterization of the equivalence relationship between bounded domains in ℂ n modulo proper holomorphic correspondences in terms of local CR-equivalence of their boundaries. We prove the following finite jet determination result for CR mappings: Given a smooth generic submanifold MCN, N?2, that is essentially finite and of finite type at each of its points, for every point pM there exists an integer ?p, depending upper-semicontinuously on p, such that for every smooth generic submanifold MCN of the same dimension as M, if are two germs of smooth finite CR mappings with the same ?p jet at p, then necessarily for all positive integers k. In the hypersurface case, this result provides several new unique jet determination properties for holomorphic mappings at the boundary in the real-analytic case; in particular, it provides the finite jet determination of arbitrary real-analytic CR mappings between real-analytic hypersurfaces in CN of D'Angelo finite type. It also yields a new boundary version of H. Cartan's uniqueness theorem: if Ω,ΩCN are two bounded domains with smooth real-analytic boundary, then there exists an integer k, depending only on the boundary ∂Ω, such that if are two proper holomorphic mappings extending smoothly up to ∂Ω near some point p∈∂Ω and agreeing up to order k at p, then necessarily H1=H2.  相似文献

Let Ω be a smoothly bounded pseudoconvex domain in ℂ n satisfying the condition R. Suppose that its Bergman kernel extends to [`(W)]×[`(W)]\overline{\Omega}\times\overline{\Omega} minus the boundary diagonal set as a locally bounded function. In this paper we show that for each hyperbolic orbit accumulation boundary point p, there exists a contraction f∈Aut(Ω) at p. As an application, we show that Ω admits a hyperbolic orbit accumulation boundary point if and only if it is biholomorphically equivalent to a domain defined by a weighted homogeneous polynomial and that Ω is of finite D’Angelo type.  相似文献

Domain constants are numbers attached to regions in the complex plane ℂ. For a region Ω in ℂ, letd(Ω) denote a generic domain constant. If there is an absolute constantM such thatM −1d(Ω)/d(Δ)≤M whenever Ω and Δ are conformally equivalent, then the domain constant is called quasiinvariant under conformal mappings. IfM=1, the domain constant is conformally invariant. There are several standard problems to consider for domain constants. One is to obtain relationships among different domain constants. Another is to determine whether a given domain constant is conformally invariant or quasi-invariant. In the latter case one would like to determine the best bound for quasi-invariance. We also consider a third type of result. For certain domain constants we show there is an absolute constantN such that |d(Ω)−d(Δ)|≤N whenever Ω and Δ and conformally equivalent, sometimes determing the best possible constantN. This distortion inequality is often stronger than quasi-invariance. We establish results of this type for six domain constants. We use holomorphic motions and Beltrami equation to study a class of polynomially convex hulls in 2 with Jordan fibers over the disc D. It is shown that every such hull is biholomorphically equivalent to a unique (up to suitable normalisation) canonical model. These models are the hulls whose complements in D×ℂmacr; are biholomorphic to a bidisc and are further characterized in terms of capacity of the fibers, Green’s function, pseudoconcavity and approximability by (very) special analytic polyhedra. In this paper we establish some general results on local behavior of holomorphic functions along complex submanifolds of ℂ N . As a corollary, we present multi-dimensional generalizations of an important result of Coman and Poletsky on Bernstein type inequalities on transcendental curves in ℂ2.  相似文献

It is proved in [8] that there exist no totally umbilical Lagrangian submanifolds in a complex-space-form ,n≥2, except the totally geodesic ones. In this paper we introduce the notion of LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds which are the “simplest” Lagrangian submanifolds next to the totally geodesic ones in complex-space-forms. We show that for each Legendre curve in a 3-sphereS 3 (respectively, in a 3-dimensional antide Sitter space-timeH 1 3 ), there associates a LagrangianH-umbilical submanifold in ℂP n (respectively, in ℂH n ) via warped products. The main part of this paper is devoted to the classification of LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds in ℂP n and in ℂH n . Our classification theorems imply in particular that “except some exceptional classes”, LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds of ℂP n and of ℂH n are obtained from Legendre curves inS 3 or inH 1 3 via warped products. This provides us an interesting interaction of Legendre curves and LagrangianH-umbilical submanifolds in non-flat complex-space-forms. As an immediate by-product, our results provide us many concrete examples of LagrangianH-umbilical isometric immersions of real-space-forms into non-flat complex-space-forms.  相似文献

A local uniqueness property of holomorphic functions on real-analytic nowhere minimal CR submanifolds of higher codimension is investigated. A sufficient condition called almost minimality is given and studied. A weaker necessary condition, being contained a possibly singular real-analytic Levi-flat hypersurface is studied and characterized. This question is completely resolved for algebraic submanifolds of codimension 2 and a sufficient condition for noncontainment is given for non algebraic submanifolds. As a consequence, an example of a submanifold of codimension 2, not biholomorphically equivalent to an algebraic one, is given. We also investigate the structure of singularities of Levi-flat hypersurfaces.  相似文献

Let ƒ: D → D′ be a proper holomorphic mapping between bounded domains D, D′ in2.Let M, M′ be open pieces on δD, δD′, respectively that are smooth, real analytic and of finite type. Suppose that the cluster set of M under ƒ is contained in M′. It is shown that ƒ extends holomorphically across M. This can be viewed as a local version of the Diederich-Pinchuk extension result for proper mappings in2.  相似文献

We investigate the notion of CR transversality of a generic holomorphic map f: ℂ n → ℂ m to a smooth CR submanifold M of ℂ m . We construct a stratification of the set of non-CR transversal points in the preimage M′ = f −1 (M) by smooth submanifolds, consisting of points where the CR dimension of M′ is constant. We show the existence of a Whitney stratification for sets which are locally diffeomorphic to the product of an open set and an analytic set. It is proved by purely algebraic method that weakly conformai, conformai andA z 3 = 0 are mutually equivalent if ϕ :Ω→ℂP n is a non-isotropic harmonic map and the harmonic maps with isotropy order ≥3 are uniquely determined by a system of ordinary differential equations. A method is given, by which the isotropy orders of non-isotropic harmonic maps can be computed.  相似文献

We define the contact boundary of a complex polynomial f : ℂ n → ℂ as the intersection of some generic fiber with a large sphere. We show that, up to contact isotopy, this does not depend on the choice of the fiber (provided it is generic) and is invariant under polynomial automorphism of ℂ n . We next prove that the formal homotopy class of this contact boundary is invariant in a large family of deformations of polynomials, which are not necessarily topologically trivial. In this paper, a class of biholomorphic mappings named quasi-convex mapping of order α in the unit ball of a complex Banach space is introduced. When the Banach space is confined to ℂ n , we obtain the relation between this class of mappings and the convex mappings. Furthermore, the growth and covering theorems of this class of mappings are given on the unit ball of a complex Banach space X. Finally, we get the second order terms coefficient estimations of the homogeneous expansion of quasi-convex mapping of order α defined on the polydisc in ℂ n and on the unit ball in a complex Banach space, respectively. In this paper we study the dependence of the local geometry of real-analytic hypersuffaces in ℂ n on the dimension of the group of biholomorphic automorphisms of this surface. We also classify the hypersurfaces in terms of this group. We present some examples showing that the classes of the given construction are not empty. We find a new formulation of the Freeman theorem on the so-called straightening of a real-analytic CR-submanifold in ℂ n with degenerate Levi form of constant rank. Abstract Let SO(n) act in the standard way on ℂn and extend this action in the usual way to ℂn+1 = ℂ ⊕ ℂn. It is shown that a nonsingular special Lagrangian submanifold L ⊂ ℂn+1 that is invariant under this SO(n)-action intersects the fixed ℂ ⊂ ℂn+1 in a nonsingular real-analytic arc A (which may be empty). If n > 2, then A has no compact component. Conversely, an embedded, noncompact nonsingular real-analytic arc A ⊂ ℂ lies in an embedded nonsingular special Lagrangian submanifold that is SO(n)-invariant. The same existence result holds for compact A if n = 2. If A is connected, there exist n distinct nonsingular SO(n)-invariant special Lagrangian extensions of A such that any embedded nonsingular SO(n)-invariant special Lagrangian extension of A agrees with one of these n extensions in some open neighborhood of A. The method employed is an analysis of a singular nonlinear PDE and ultimately calls on the work of Gérard and Tahara to prove the existence of the extension. * Project supported by Duke University via a research grant, the NSF via DMS-0103884, the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute, and Columbia University. Let H:(M,p)→(M ,p ) be a formal mapping between two germs of real-analytic generic submanifolds in ? N with nonvanishing Jacobian. Assuming M to be minimal at p and M holomorphically nondegenerate at p , we prove the convergence of the mapping H. As a consequence, we obtain a new convergence result for arbitrary formal maps between real-analytic hypersurfaces when the target does not contain any holomorphic curve. In the case when both M and M are hypersurfaces, we also prove the convergence of the associated reflection function when M is assumed to be only minimal. This allows us to derive a new Artin type approximation theorem for formal maps of generic full rank.  相似文献
