We study the problem of removability of isolated singularities for a general second-order quasi-linear equation in divergence form −divA(x,u,∇u)+a0(x,u)+g(x,u)=0 in a punctured domain Ω?{0}, where Ω is a domain in Rn, n?3. The model example is the equation −Δpu+gu|u|p−2+u|u|q−1=0, q>p−1>0, p<n. Assuming that the lower-order terms satisfy certain non-linear Kato-type conditions, we prove that for all point singularities of the above equation are removable, thus extending the seminal result of Brezis and Véron.  相似文献

By Karamata regular variation theory and constructing comparison functions, we derive that the boundary behaviour of the unique solution to a singular Dirichlet problem −Δu=b(x)g(u)+λq|∇u|, u>0, xΩ, u|Ω=0, which is independent of λq|∇uλ|, where Ω is a bounded domain with smooth boundary in RN, λR, q∈(0,2], lims0+g(s)=+∞, and b is non-negative on Ω, which may be vanishing on the boundary.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the Cauchy problem of semilinear parabolic equations with nonlinear gradient terms a(x)|u|q−1u|u|p. We prove the existence of global solutions and self-similar solutions for small initial data. Moreover, for a class of initial data we show that the global solutions behave asymptotically like self-similar solutions as t.  相似文献

We classify all the possible asymptotic behavior at the origin for positive solutions of quasilinear elliptic equations of the form div(|∇u|p−2u)=b(x)h(u) in Ω?{0}, where 1<p?N and Ω is an open subset of RN with 0∈Ω. Our main result provides a sharp extension of a well-known theorem of Friedman and Véron for h(u)=uq and b(x)≡1, and a recent result of the authors for p=2 and b(x)≡1. We assume that the function h is regularly varying at ∞ with index q (that is, limt→∞h(λt)/h(t)=λq for every λ>0) and the weight function b(x) behaves near the origin as a function b0(|x|) varying regularly at zero with index θ greater than −p. This condition includes b(x)=θ|x| and some of its perturbations, for instance, b(x)=θ|x|m(−log|x|) for any mR. Our approach makes use of the theory of regular variation and a new perturbation method for constructing sub- and super-solutions.  相似文献

We study the boundary value problem −div(log(1+q|∇u|)|∇u|p−2u)=f(u) in Ω, u=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a bounded domain in RN with smooth boundary. We distinguish the cases where either f(u)=−λ|u|p−2u+|u|r−2u or f(u)=λ|u|p−2u−|u|r−2u, with p, q>1, p+q<min{N,r}, and r<(NpN+p)/(Np). In the first case we show the existence of infinitely many weak solutions for any λ>0. In the second case we prove the existence of a nontrivial weak solution if λ is sufficiently large. Our approach relies on adequate variational methods in Orlicz-Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

We study the equation Δu+u|u|p−1+V(x)u+f(x)=0 in Rn, where n?3 and p>n/(n−2). The forcing term f and the potential V can be singular at zero, change sign and decay polynomially at infinity. We can consider anisotropic potentials of form h(x)|x|−2 where h is not purely angular. We obtain solutions u which blow up at the origin and do not belong to any Lebesgue space Lr. Also, u is positive and radial, in case f and V are. Asymptotic stability properties of solutions, their behavior near the singularity, and decay are addressed.  相似文献

We consider the Dirichlet problem for the equation −Δu=λu±f(x,u)+h(x) in a bounded domain, where f has a sublinear growth and hL2. We find suitable conditions on f and h in order to have at least two solutions for λ near to an eigenvalue of −Δ. A typical example to which our results apply is when f(x,u) behaves at infinity like a(x)|u|q−2u, with M>a(x)>δ>0, and 1<q<2.  相似文献

In this paper we study the large time behavior of non-negative solutions to the Cauchy problem of utumuq in RN×(0,∞), where m>1 and q=qcm+2/N is a critical exponent. For non-negative initial value u(x,0)=u0(x)∈L1(RN), we show that the solution converges, if u0(x)(1+|x|)k is bounded for some k>N, to a unique fundamental solution of utum, independent of the initial value, with additional logarithmic anomalous decay exponent in time as t→∞.  相似文献

The existence of local (in time) solutions of the initial-boundary value problem for the following degenerate parabolic equation: ut(x,t)−Δpu(x,t)−|u|q−2u(x,t)=f(x,t), (x,t)∈Ω×(0,T), where 2?p<q<+∞, Ω is a bounded domain in RN, is given and Δp denotes the so-called p-Laplacian defined by Δpu:=∇⋅(|∇u|p−2u), with initial data u0Lr(Ω) is proved under r>N(qp)/p without imposing any smallness on u0 and f. To this end, the above problem is reduced into the Cauchy problem for an evolution equation governed by the difference of two subdifferential operators in a reflexive Banach space, and the theory of subdifferential operators and potential well method are employed to establish energy estimates. Particularly, Lr-estimates of solutions play a crucial role to construct a time-local solution and reveal the dependence of the time interval [0,T0] in which the problem admits a solution. In this paper, we consider the initial-boundary value problem of a semilinear parabolic equation with local and non-local (localized) reactions in a ball: utu+up+uq(x*,t) in B(R) where p,q>0,B(R)={xRN:|x|<R} and x*≠0. If max(p,q)>1, there exist blow-up solutions of this problem for large initial data. We treat the radially symmetric and one peak non-negative solution of this problem. We give the complete classification of total blow-up phenomena and single point blow-up phenomena according to p and q.
(i)
If or p=q>2, then single point blow-up occurs whenever solutions blow up.
(ii)
If 1<p<q, both phenomena, total blow-up and single point blow-up, occur depending on the initial data.
(iii)
If p?1<q, total blow-up occurs whenever solutions blow up.
(iv)
If max(p,q)?1, every solution exists globally in time.

We study entire solutions of non-homogeneous quasilinear elliptic equations, with Eqs. (1) and (2) below being typical. A particular special case of interest is the following: Let u be an entire distribution solution of the equation Δpu=|u|q−1u, where p>1. If q>p−1 then u≡0. On the other hand, if 0<q<p−1 and u(x)=o(|x|p/(pq−1)) as |x|→∞, then again u≡0. If q=p−1 then u≡0 for all solutions with at most algebraic growth at infinity.  相似文献

We investigate the existence of nonnegative weak solutions to the problem ut=Δ(um)−p|∇u| in Rn×(0,∞) with +(1−2/n)<m<1. It will be proved that: (i) When 1<p<2, if the initial datum u0D(Rn) then there exists a solution; (ii) When 1<p<(2+mn)/(n+1), if the initial datum u0(x) is a bounded and nonnegative measure then the solution exists; (iii) When (2+mn)/(n+1)?p<2, if the initial datum is a Dirac mass then the solution does not exist. We investigate the non-existence of solutions to a class of evolution inequalities; in this case, as it happens in a relatively small number of blow-up studies, nonlinearities depend also on time-variable t and spatial derivatives of the unknown. The present results, which in great part do not require any assumption on the regularity of data, are completely new and shown with various applications. Some of these results referring to the problem utu+a(x)|u|p+λf(x) in RN, t>0 include the non-existence results of positive global solutions obtained by Fujita and others when a≡1 and f≡0, Bandle-Levine and Levine-Meier when a≡|x|m and f≡0, Pinsky when either f≡0 or f?0 and λ>0, Zhang and Bandle-Levine-Zhang when a≡1 and λ=1.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of finding positive solutions of the equation −Δu+(a+a(x))u=|u|q−2u, where q is subcritical, Ω is either RN or an unbounded domain which is periodic in the first p coordinates and whose complement is contained in a cylinder , a>0, aC(RN,R) is periodic in the first p coordinates, infxRN(a+a(x))>0 and a(x,x)→0 as |x|→∞ uniformly in x. We study the large time asymptotic behavior of solutions of the doubly degenerate parabolic equation u t = div(u m−1|Du| p−2 Du) − u q with an initial condition u(x, 0) = u 0(x). Here the exponents m, p and q satisfy m + p ⩾ 3, p > 1 and q > m + p − 2.
