Let (G) and V(G) be, respectively, the closed-set lattice and the vertex set of a graph G. Any lattice isomorphism : V(G)(G) induces a bijection : V(G)V(G) such that for each x in V(G), (x)=x' in V(G') iff ({x})={x'}. A graph G is strongly sensitive if for any graph G' and any lattice isomorphism : (G)(G), the bijection induced by is a graph isomorphism of G onto G'. In this paper we present some sufficient conditions for graphs to be strongly sensitive and prove in particular that all C 4-free graphs and all covering graphs of finite lattices are strongly sensitive.  相似文献

We consider forn=0, 1,... the nested spaces n of rational functions of degreen at most with given poles . Given a finite measure supported on the unit circle, we associate with it a nested orthogonal basis of rational functions 0,..., n for n ,n=0, 1,.... These n satisfy a recurrence relation that generalizes the recurrence for Szeg polynomials. In this paper we shall prove a Favard type theorem which says that if one has a sequence of rational functions n n which are generated by such a recurrence, then there will be a measure supported on the unit circle to which they are orthogonal. We shall give a sufficient condition for the uniqueness of this measure.  相似文献

Let G(k) be the Chevalley group of normal type associated with a root system G = , or of twisted type G = m,m = 2,3, over a field K. Its root subgroups Xs, for all possible s G+, generate a maximal unipotent subgroup U = UG(k) if p = charK < 0, U is a Sylow p-subgroup of G(K). We examine G and K for which there exists a paired intersection U U9, g G(K), which is not conjugate in G(K) to a normal subgroup of U. If K is a finite field, this is equivalent to a condition that the normalizer of U U9 in G(K)has a p-multiple index. Put p() = max(r,r)/(s,s) | r,s . We prove a statement (Theorem 1) saying the following. Let G(K) be a Chevalley group of Lie rank greater than 1 over a finite field K of characteristic p and U be its Sylow p-subgroup equal to UG(K); also, either G = and p() is distinct from p and 1, or G(K) is a twisted group. Then G(K) contains a monomial element n such that the normalizer U of Un in G(K) has a p-multiple index. Let K be an associative commutative ring with unity and (K,J) be a congruence subgroup of the Chevalley group (K) modulo a nilpotent ideal J. We examine an hypercentral series 1 Z1 Z2 ... Zc-1 of the group U(K) (K,J). Theorem 2 shows that under an extra restriction on the quotient (Jt : J) of ideals, central series are related via Zi = Tc-iC, 1 i < c, where C is a subgroup of central diagonal elements. Such a connection exists, in particular, if K = Zpm and J = (pd), 1 d < m, d| m.  相似文献

Summary Let (X t n ) be a Poisson sequence of independent Brownian motions in d ,d3; Let be a compact oriented submanifold of d, of dimensiond–2 and volume ; let t be the sum of the windings of (X s n , 0st) around ; then t/t converges in law towards a Cauchy variable of parameter /2. A similar result is valid when the winding is replaced by the integral of a harmonic 1-form in d .  相似文献

LetP=(P, L) be a compact projective plane with 0P< and let be a compact connected subgroup of Aut(P). If dim dimE – dimP, whereE is the elliptic motion group of the corresponding classical plane, then E or is isomorphic to a point stabilizerE 0 inE, cf. [31]. Here we consider the case E 0. It is shown that the action of on the point spaceP is equivalent to the classical action ofE 0. For dimP {8, 16} the planeP is uniquely determined by a 2-dimensional subplane with SO2 Aut().Für H. Let F be a field of characteristic different from 2. We discuss a new descent problem for quadratic forms, complementing the one studied by Kahn and Laghribi. More precisely, we conjecture that for any quadratic form q over F and any Im(W(F) W(F(q))), there exists a quadratic form W(F) such that dim 2 dim and F(q), where F(q) is the function field of the projective quadric defined by q = 0. We prove this conjecture for dim 3 and any q, and get partial results for dim {4, 5,6}. We also give other related results.  相似文献

Two discrete modular lattice and have isomorphic graphs if and only if is of the form A × and is of the form A × for some lattices A and and . We prove that for discrete semimodular lattices and this latter condition holds if and only if and have isomorphic graphs and the isomorphism preserves the order on all cover-preserving sublattices of which are isomorphic to the seven-element, semimodular, nonmodular lattice (see Figure 1). This answers in the affirmative a question posed by J. Jakubik.  相似文献

The properties of the space (Xx) of all sublinear functionals, defined on a space X' (topologically adjoint to a Hausdorff locally convex barrelled space X) and continuous in the Arens topology × (X, X), equipped with topology of uniform convergence on bounded subsets of X are studied. It is shown that completeness and separability of a space X are hereditary for (Xx). Criteria for the compactness of subsets of (Xx) and conditions for the metrizability of compacta in (Xx) are given. The topological isomorphism between (Xx) and the space of all nonempty convex compacta in X with the Vietoris topology is established. The results obtained here are applied for the study of the properties of multiple-valued integrals.Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 22, No. 2, pp. 203–213, August, 1977.The author thanks S. One determines all the minimal surfaces of the isotropic space, which simultaneously are affinminimal surfaces. A characteristic property of those surfaces is that the isotropic spherical imagines of the asymptotic lines of form two orthogonal pencils of circles. There are three types of such surfaces : first the well known right helicoid I , second an interesting transcendental surface II , and third the isotropic analogy III of the minimal surface ofEnneper. The surfaces permit cinematic generations. Especially II and III can be generated byClifford screws in a certain indefinite quasielliptic space. In the isotropic space conjugate to the surfaces are isotropic minimal surfaces * with plane lines of curvature. There are also three types of such surfaces: I * is a logarithmic surface of revolution, II * is an interesting transcendental surface, and III * is again the isotropic minimal surface ofEnnerper.  相似文献

In 1985, Kulkarni defined the conformal boundary of a simply connected and time-oriented Lorentzian surface . He also introduced a notion of 'smoothability' of this boundary, depending only on local properties of . In this paper we show that smoothability of is in fact a global property of . In doing so, we classify Lorentzian surfaces with smoothable boundaries up to conformal homeomorphism. To be specific, suppose that the Minkowski plane E 2 1 is the x,y-plane with metric dxdy. Our main theorem states that if is smoothable then is conformally homeomorphic to the interior U of a Jordan curve in E 2 1 that is locally the graph of a continuous function over either the x-axis or the y-axis at each point of U.  相似文献

In the case of certain geometries () [1] over kinematic algebras [5],[6] the -trace of the system of chains can be characterized by constant curvature. The curvature allows an affine interpretation of non-affine points.  相似文献

Let be the middle surface of an isotropic rectilinear congruence of class C3 in the real Euclidean space E3. When the spherical image of is parametrized by special isothermal coordinates (u,v) G 2, can be described by a generating harmonic function A(u,v). Using such a C-representation of , the basic properties of regularity and curvature of are discussed. Moreover, the cases that be a minimal (regular) surface 1, or a plane surface 2 are solved explicitly. In connection with the latter results (which are already well-known from Ribaucour) several new characterizations for being a regular surface 1 resp. 2 are given: they are based on special properties (like: being asymptotic lines resp. lines of curvature of ) of those curves c (-Spurlinien) in the tangents of which form in each point Xc a minimal angle with the straight line of passing through X.

Given a symmetric polynomial (x, y) over a perfect field k of characteristic zero, the Galois graph G() is defined by taking the algebraic closure as the vertex set and adjacencies corresponding to the zeroes of (x, y). Some graph properties of G(), such as lengths of walks, distances and cycles are described in terms of . Symmetry is also considered, relating the Galois group Gal( /k) to the automorphism group of certain classes of Galois graphs. Finally, an application concerning modular curves classifying pairs of isogeny elliptic curves is revisited.  相似文献

We study (set-valued) mappings of bounded -variation defined on the compact interval I and taking values in metric or normed linear spaces X. We prove a new structural theorem for these mappings and extend Medvedev's criterion from real valued functions onto mappings with values in a reflexive Banach space, which permits us to establish an explicit integral formula for the -variation of a metric space valued mapping. We show that the linear span GV (I;X) of the set of all mappings of bounded -variation is automatically a Banach algebra provided X is a Banach algebra. If h:I× X Y is a given mapping and the composition operator is defined by (f)(t)=h(t,f(t)), where tI and f:I X, we show that :GV (I;X) GV (I;Y) is Lipschitzian if and only if h(t,x)=h0(t)+h1(t)x, tI, xX. This result is further extended to multivalued composition operators with values compact convex sets. We prove that any (not necessarily convex valued) multifunction of bounded -variation with respect to the Hausdorff metric, whose graph is compact, admits regular selections of bounded -variation.  相似文献

With a convex surface in space of constant curvature, we associate four numbers (,M,), where is the radius of a largerst sphere freely rolling over the interior side of , is the inradius of , M is the outradius of , and is the radius of a sphere over whose interior may roll freely. Exact inequalities connecting these four numbers are found.  相似文献

Consider a bifurcation problem, namely, its bifurcation equation. There is a diffeomorphism linking the actual solution set with an unfolded normal form of the bifurcation equation. The differential D(0) of this diffeomorphism is a valuable information for a numerical analysis of the imperfect bifurcation. The aim of this paper is to construct algorithms for a computation of D(0). Singularity classes containing bifurcation points with codim 3, corank = 1 are considered.  相似文献
