The problems of determining the B–spline form of a C 2 Pythagorean–hodograph (PH) quintic spline curve interpolating given points, and of using this form to make local modifications, are addressed. To achieve the correct order of continuity, a quintic B–spline basis constructed on a knot sequence in which each (interior) knot is of multiplicity 3 is required. C 2 quintic bases on uniform triple knots are constructed for both open and closed C 2 curves, and are used to derive simple explicit formulae for the B–spline control points of C 2 PH quintic spline curves. These B-spline control points are verified, and generalized to the case of non–uniform knots, by applying a knot removal scheme to the Bézier control points of the individual PH quintic spline segments, associated with a set of six–fold knots. Based on the B–spline form, a scheme for the local modification of planar PH quintic splines, in response to a control point displacement, is proposed. Only two contiguous spline segments are modified, but to preserve the PH nature of the modified segments, the continuity between modified and unmodified segments must be relaxed from C 2 to C 1. A number of computed examples are presented, to compare the shape quality of PH quintic and “ordinary” cubic splines subject to control point modifications.  相似文献

We find exact values for the uniform Lebesgue constants of interpolating L-splines that are bounded on the real axis, have equidistant knots, and correspond to the linear thirdorder differential operator L3(D) = D(D2 + α2) with constant real coefficients, where α > 0. We compare the obtained result with the Lebesgue constants of other L-splines.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the Gibbs phenomenon for series by general Franklin systems. The general Franklin system corresponding to a given dense sequence of points T = (t n , n ≥ 0) in [0, 1] is a sequence of orthonormal piecewise linear functions with knots from T, that is, the nth function from the system has knots t 0,..., t n . The main result of this paper is that the Gibbs phenomenon for Fourier series by general Franklin systems occurs for almost all points of [0, 1].  相似文献

We continue the study of the properties of local L-splines with uniform knots (such splines were constructed in the authors’ earlier papers) corresponding to a linear differential operator L of order r with constant coefficients and real pairwise different roots of the characteristic polynomial. Sufficient conditions (which are also necessary) are established under which an L-spline locally inherits the property of the generalized k-monotonicity (kr ? 1) of the input data, which are the values of the approximated function at the nodes of a uniform grid shifted with respect to the grid of knots of the L-spline. The parameters of an L-spline that is exact on the kernel of the operator L are written explicitly.  相似文献

Oleg Viro introduced an invariant of rigid isotopy for real algebraic knots in ??3 which can be viewed as a first order Vassiliev invariant. In this paper we look at real algebraic knots of degree d with the maximal possible value of this invariant. We show that for a given d all such knots are topologically isotopic and explicitly identify their knot type.  相似文献

Let A and B be real square positive definite matrices close to each other. A domain S on the complex plane that contains all the eigenvalues λ of the problem Az = λBz is constructed analytically. The boundary ?S of S is a curve known as the limacon of Pascal. Using the standard conformal mapping of the exterior of this curve (or of the exterior of an enveloping circular lune) onto the exterior of the unit disc, new analytical bounds are obtained for the convergence rate of the minimal residual method (GMRES) as applied to solving the linear system Ax = b with the preconditioner B.  相似文献

We introduce super-analogues of the Schur functors defined by Akin, Buchsbaum and Weyman. These Schur superfunctors may be viewed as characteristic-free analogues of finite dimensional irreducible polynomial representations of the Lie superalgebra ????(m|n) studied by Berele and Regev. Our construction realizes Schur superfunctors as objects of a certain category of strict polynomial superfunctors. We show that Schur superfunctors are indecomposable objects of this category. In characteristic zero, these correspond to the set of all simple supermodules for the Schur superalgebra, S(m|n, d), for any m, n, d ? 0. We also provide decompositions of Schur bisuperfunctors in terms of tensor products of skew Schur superfunctors.  相似文献

Links in lens spaces may be defined to be equivalent by ambient isotopy or by diffeomorphism of pairs. In the first case, for all the combinatorial representations of links, there is a set of Reidemeister-type moves on diagrams connecting isotopy equivalent links. In this paper, we provide a set of moves on disk, band and grid diagrams that connects diffeo-equivalent links: there are up to four isotopy equivalent links in each diffeo-equivalence class. Moreover, we investigate how the diffeo-equivalence relates to the lift of the link in the 3-sphere: in the particular case of oriented primitive-homologous knots, the lift completely determines the knot class in L(pq) up to diffeo-equivalence, and thus only four possible knots up to isotopy equivalence can have the same lift.  相似文献

In this paper, we show the existence of universal inequalities for the h*-vector of a lattice polytope P, that is, we show that there are relations among the coefficients of the h*-polynomial that are independent of both the dimension and the degree of P. More precisely, we prove that the coefficients h* 1 and h* 2 of the h*-vector (h* 0, h* 1,..., h* d) of a lattice polytope of any degree satisfy Scott’s inequality if h* 3 = 0.  相似文献

Using explicit constructions of the Weierstrass mock modular form and Eisenstein series coefficients, we obtain closed formulas for the generating functions of values of shifted convolution L-functions associated to certain elliptic curves. These identities provide a surprising relation between weight 2 newforms and shifted convolution L-values when the underlying elliptic curve has modular degree 1 with conductor N such that \(\text {genus}(X_0(N)) = 1\).  相似文献

We establish the unique solvability of boundary value problems in Hölder function classes for a linear parabolic equation of order 2m in noncylindrical domains of the class C 2m ? 1,α , possibly unbounded (with respect to x as well as t), with nonsmooth (with respect to t) lateral boundary under the condition that the lower-order coefficients and the right-hand side of the equation can grow in a certain way when approaching the parabolic boundary of the domain and the leading coefficients may fail to satisfy the Dini condition near this boundary.  相似文献

A class of spline curves with four local shape parameters, which includes the quartic spline curves with three local shape parameters given in Han [Xuli Han. A class of general quartic spline curves with shape parameters. Comput. Aided Geom. Design, 28: 151–163 (2011)], is proposed. Without solving a linear system, the spline curves can be used to interpolate sets of points with C2 continuity partly or entirely. We study the Clifford index c of a smooth irreducible curve X in the linear series |2H| on a special K3 surface S of degree 2n in \({{\mathbb P}}^{n+1}\), with hyperplane section H, and we look for the complete and base point free linear series of S whose restrictions to X compute c. In a more general context, we discuss the features of such series, for an assigned curve on a K3 surface; this discussion is of some independent interest.  相似文献

We consider boundary value problems for the equation ? x (K ? x ?) + KL[?] = 0 in the space R n with generalized transmission conditions of the type of a strongly permeable crack or a weakly permeable screen on the surface x = 0. (Here L is an arbitrary linear differential operator with respect to the variables y 1, …, y n?1.) The coefficients K(x) > 0 are monotone functions of certain classes in the regions separated by the screen x = 0. The desired solution has arbitrary given singular points and satisfies a sufficiently weak condition at infinity.We derive formulas expressing the solutions of the above-mentioned problems in the form of simple quadratures via the solutions of the considered equation with a constant coefficient K for given singular points in the absence of a crack or a screen. In particular, the obtained formulas permit one to solve boundary value problems with generalized transmission conditions for equations with functional piecewise continuous coefficients in the framework of the theory of harmonic functions.  相似文献

We suggest using the Hall–Littlewood version of the Rosso–Jones formula to define the germs of p-adic HOMFLY-PT polynomials for torus knots [m, n] as coefficients of superpolynomials in a q-expansion. In this form, they have at least the [m, n] ? [n, m] topological invariance. This opens a new possibility to interpret superpolynomials as p-adic deformations of HOMFLY polynomials and poses a question of generalizing to other knot families, which is a substantial problem for several branches of modern theory.  相似文献
