Variable electrical and thermal conductivity in the theory of generalized thermoelastic diffusion

This paper deals with the problem of a thermoelastic half-space with a permeating substance in contact with the bounding plane in the context of the theory of generalized thermoelastic diffusion with one relaxation time and with variable electrical and thermal conductivity. The bounding surface of the half-space is taken to be traction free and subjected to a time dependent thermal shock. The solution is obtained in the Laplace transform domain by a direct approach. A numerical technique is employed to obtain the solution in the physical domain. It is found that there exist two coupled waves, one of which is elastic and the other is thermal, and a third wave affects diffusion mainly. A comparison is made with the results obtained in a thermoelastic medium with and without diffusion in the following cases : (a) the electrical and thermal conductivities have constant values, (b) the presence of magnetic field and (c) the generalized theory in thermoelasticity. GENERALIZED FUZZY FILTERS OF BL-ALGEBRAS

The concept of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy interval value with an interval valued fuzzy set is considered.In fact,this is a generalization of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy point With a fuzzy set.By using this new idea,the notion of interval valued(∈,∈∨q)-fuzzy filters in BL-algebras which is a generalization of fuzzy filters of BL-algebras,is defined,and related properties are investigated.In particular,the concept of a fuzzy subgroup with thresholds is extended to the concept of an interval valued fuzzy filter with thresholds in BL-algebras.     

Cohomology,extensions and automorphisms of skew braces

The second cohomology group of a left skew brace with coefficients in a trivial left brace with non-trivial actions is defined, its connection with extensions of a left skew brace by a trivial brace is established and a Wells' like exact sequence relating the second cohomology group with inducible automorphisms of an extension of left skew braces is constructed.     

Subspaces and quotients of Banach spaces with shrinking unconditional bases

The main result is that a separable Banach space with the weak* unconditional tree property is isomorphic to a subspace as well as a quotient of a Banach space with a shrinking unconditional basis. A consequence of this is that a Banach space is isomorphic to a subspace of a space with a shrinking unconditional basis if and only if it is isomorphic to a quotient of a space with a shrinking unconditional basis, which solves a problem dating to the 1970s. The proof of the main result also yields that a uniformly convex space with the unconditional tree property is isomorphic to a subspace as well as a quotient of a uniformly convex space with an unconditional finite dimensional decomposition.     

Analysis of a dynamic contact problem for electro-viscoelastic cylinders

We consider a mathematical model which describes the antiplane shear deformations of a piezoelectric cylinder in frictional contact with a foundation. The process is mechanically dynamic and electrically static, the material behavior is described with a linearly electro-viscoelastic constitutive law, the contact is frictional and the foundation is assumed to be electrically conductive. Both the friction and the electrical conductivity condition on the contact surface are described with subdifferential boundary conditions. We derive a variational formulation of the problem which is of the form of a system coupling a second order hemivariational inequality for the displacement field with a time-dependent hemivariational inequality for the electric potential field. Then we prove the existence of a unique weak solution to the model. The proof is based on abstract results for second order evolutionary inclusions in Banach spaces. Finally, we present concrete examples of friction laws and electrical conductivity conditions for which our result is valid.     

Dimonoids

It is proved that a system of axioms for a dimonoid is independent and Cayley’s theorem for semigroups has an analog in the class of dimonoids. The least separative congruence is constructed on an arbitrary dimonoid endowed with a commutative operation. It is shown that an appropriate quotient dimonoid is a commutative separative semigroup. The least separative congruence on a free commutative dimonoid is characterized. It is stated that each dimonoid with a commutative operation is a semilattice of Archimedean subdimonoids, each dimonoid with a commutative periodic semigroup is a semilattice of unipotent subdimonoids, and each dimonoid with a commutative operation is a semilattice of a-connected subdimonoids. Various dimonoid constructions are presented.

An electro-viscoelastic frictional contact problem with damage

We consider a quasistatic frictional contact problem between a piezoelectric body and a foundation. The contact is modeled with normal compliance and friction is modeled with a general version of Coulomb's law of dry friction; the process is quasistatic and the material's behavior is described by an electro-viscoelastic constitutive law with damage. We derive a variational formulation for the model which is in the form of a system involving the displacement field, the electric potential field, and the damage field. Then we provide the existence of a unique weak solution to the model. The proof is based on arguments of evolutionary variational inequalities and fixed point.

In this paper,spaces with a locally countable sn-network are discussed.It is shown that a space with a locally countable sn-network iff it is an snf-countable space with a locally countable k-network.As its application,almost-open and closed mappings(or finite-to-one and closed mapping) preserve locally countable sn-networks,and a perfect preimage theorem on spaces with a locally countable sn-network is established.
