We introduce and study higher spherical algebras, an exotic family of finite-dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field. We prove that every such an algebra is derived equivalent to a higher tetrahedral algebra studied in Erdmann and Skowroński (Algebras Represent Theory 22:387–406, 2019), and hence that it is a tame symmetric periodic algebra of period 4.  相似文献

In this paper, the double Ringel–Hall algebras of tame hereditary algebras are decomposed as the quantized enveloping algebras of the infinite-dimensional Lie algebras, which are the central extensions of the affine loop algebras and the infinite-dimensional Heisenberg algebras. The numbers of the generators of the Heisenberg algebras are explicitly given at each dimensional level.  相似文献

Auslander’s representation dimension measures how far a finite dimensional algebra is away from being of finite representation type. In [1], M. Auslander proved that a finite dimensional algebra A is of finite representation type if and only if the representation dimension of A is at most 2. Recently, R. Rouquier proved that there are finite dimensional algebras of an arbitrarily large finite representation dimension. One of the exciting open problems is to show that all finite dimensional algebras of tame representation type have representation dimension at most 3. We prove that this is true for all domestic weakly symmetric algebras over algebraically closed fields having simply connected Galois coverings.  相似文献

The present paper is one in a series of papers devoted to the classification of some classes of tame algebras up to stable category equivalence. In this paper, we study symmetric algebras (their stable categories have a structure of triangulated categories) and the simplest class of tame algebras-the class of special biserial algebras (SB-algebras). In the paper, we give a relevant version of the “diagrammatic method” and study the structure of the triangulated category “in a neighborhood” of the periodic part (with respect to Ω) of the stable category. Thus we prove the invariance of the collection of lengths of G-cycles under equivalence of stable categories (see Theorem 2.12). Then we use the invariance stated above, together with some properties of the Cartan matrix of a symmetric SB-algebra, to prove that the number of A-cycles (but not their lengths!) is also an invariant of stable equivalence. We introduce and study a Hopf algebra containing the descent algebra as a sub-Hopf-algebra. It has the main algebraic properties of the descent algebra, and more: it is a sub-Hopf-algebra of the direct sum of the symmetric group algebras; it is closed under the corresponding inner product; it is cocommutative, so it is an enveloping algebra; it contains all Lie idempotents of the symmetric group algebras. Moreover, its primitive elements are exactly the Lie elements which lie in the symmetric group algebras.  相似文献

We classify (up to Morita equivalence) all tame weakly symmetric finite dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field having simply connected Galois coverings, nonsingular Cartan matrices and the stable Auslander-Reiten quivers consisting only of tubes. In particular, we prove that these algebras have at most four simple modules.Received: 25 February 2002  相似文献

We show that varieties of algebras over abstract clones and over the corresponding operads are rationally equivalent. We introduce the class of operads (which we call commutative for definiteness) such that the varieties of algebras over these operads resemble in a sense categories of modules over commutative rings. In particular, the notions of a polylinear mapping and the tensor product of algebras. The categories of modules over commutative rings and the category of convexors are examples of varieties over commutative operads. By analogy with the theory of linear multioperator algebras, we develop a theory of C-linear multioperator algebras; in particular, of algebras, defined by C-polylinear identities (here C is a commutative operad). We introduce and study symmetric C-linear operads. The main result of this article is as follows: A variety of C-linear multioperator algebras is defined by C-polylinear identities if and only if it is rationally equivalent to a variety of algebras over a symmetric C-linear operad.  相似文献

Using van den Dries’s test and Brüstle, de la Peña and Skowroński’s characterization of tame strongly simply connected algebras we prove that such algebras of fixed dimension form an open Z-scheme. There is also an open Z-scheme of all strongly simply connected algebras.  相似文献

We develop a symmetric analog of brace algebras and discuss the relation of such algebras to L-algebras. We give an alternate proof that the category of symmetric brace algebras is isomorphic to the category of pre-Lie algebras. As an application, symmetric braces are used to describe transfers of strongly homotopy structures. We then explain how these symmetric brace algebras may be used to examine the L-algebras that result from a particular gauge theory for massless particles of high spin.Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000) 55S20 (primary), 70S15 (secondary).Tom Lada: The research of the first author was supported in part by NSF grant INT-0203119.Martin Markl: The research of the second author was supported by grant MŠMT ME 603 and by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Institutional Research Plan No. AV0Z10190503.  相似文献

We use the results of Etingof and Gelaki on the classification of (co)triangular Hopf algebras to extend Scheunert's “discoloration” technique to Lie algebras in the category of (co)modules. As an application, we prove a PBW-type theorem for such Lie algebras. We also discuss the relationship between Lie algebras in the category of (co)modules and symmetric braided Lie algebras introduced by Gurevich. Finally, we construct examples of symmetric braided Lie algebras that are essentially different from Lie coloralgebras.  相似文献

In this paper we determine the representation type of some algebras of infinite matrices continuously controlled at infinity by a compact metrizable space. We explicitly classify their finitely presented modules in the finite and tame cases. The algebra of row-column-finite (or locally finite) matrices over an arbitrary field is one of the algebras considered in this paper, its representation type is shown to be finite.Received October 2003  相似文献

We introduce and study two exotic families of finite-dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field. We prove that every such an algebra is derived equivalent to a higher spherical algebra studied by Erdmann and Skowroński (Arch. Math. 114, 25–39, 2020), and hence that it is a tame symmetric periodic algebra of period 4. This together with the results of Erdmann and Skowroński (Algebr. Represent. Theor. 22, 387–406, 2019; Arch. Math. 114, 25–39, 2020) shows that every trivial extension algebra of a tubular algebra of type (2,2,2,2) admits a family of periodic symmetric higher deformations which are tame of non-polynomial growth and have the same Gabriel quiver, answering the question recently raised by Skowroński.

In this paper we evaluate Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind on a class of symmetric integer matrices, namely on adjacency matrices of simply laced Dynkin and extended Dynkin diagrams. As an application of these results we explicitly calculate minimal projective resolutions of simple modules of symmetric algebras with radical cube zero that are of finite and tame representation type.  相似文献

In this paper, we characterize suitable partial (co)actions of Taft and Nichols Hopf algebras on algebras, and moreover we get that such partial (co)actions are symmetric. For certain algebras, these partial (co)actions obtained are, indeed, all of them. This work generalizes the results obtained by the authors in [16].  相似文献

The class of rank 3 algebras includes the Jordan algebra of a symmetric bilinear form, the trace zero elements of a Jordan algebra of degree 3, pseudo-composition algebras, certain algebras that arise in the study of Riccati differential equations, as well as many other algebras. We investigate the representations of rank 3 algebras and show under some conditions on the eigenspaces of the left multiplication operator determined by an idempotent element that the finite-dimensional irreducible representations are all one-dimensional.  相似文献

Hom-structures (Lie algebras, algebras, coalgebras, Hopf algebras) have been investigated in the literature recently. We study Hom-structures from the point of view of monoidal categories; in particular, we introduce a symmetric monoidal category such that Hom-algebras coincide with algebras in this monoidal category, and similar properties for coalgebras, Hopf algebras, and Lie algebras.  相似文献

Kriz and May (1995) [2] introduced partial algebras over an operad. In this paper we prove that, in the category of chain complexes, partial algebras can be functorially replaced by quasi-isomorphic algebras. In particular, partial algebras contain all of the important homological and homotopical information that genuine algebras do. Applying this result to McClure's partial algebra in McClure (2006) [5] shows that the chains of a PL-manifold are quasi-isomorphic to an E-algebra.  相似文献

We obtain two formulae for the higher Frobenius-Schur indicators: one for a spherical fusion category in terms of the twist of its center and the other one for a modular tensor category in terms of its twist. The first one is a categorical generalization of an analogous result by Kashina, Sommerhäuser, and Zhu for Hopf algebras, and the second one extends Bantay's 2nd indicator formula for a conformal field theory to higher degrees. These formulae imply the sequence of higher indicators of an object in these categories is periodic. We define the notion of Frobenius-Schur (FS-)exponent of a pivotal category to be the global period of all these sequences of higher indicators, and we prove that the FS-exponent of a spherical fusion category is equal to the order of the twist of its center. Consequently, the FS-exponent of a spherical fusion category is a multiple of its exponent, in the sense of Etingof, by a factor not greater than 2. As applications of these results, we prove that the exponent and the dimension of a semisimple quasi-Hopf algebra H have the same prime divisors, which answers two questions of Etingof and Gelaki affirmatively for quasi-Hopf algebras. Moreover, we prove that the FS-exponent of H divides dim4(H). In addition, if H is a group-theoretic quasi-Hopf algebra, the FS-exponent of H divides dim2(H), and this upper bound is shown to be tight.  相似文献
