In [5 Laan , V. ( 2001 ). Pullbacks and flatness proprties of acts I . Comm. Algebra. 29 ( 2 ): 829850 .[Taylor &; Francis Online], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar], pp. 829–850] study was initiated of flatness properties of right acts A S over a monoid S that can be described in terms when the functor A S ?-preserves pullbacks. In that article, familiar flatness properties emerged in a new light, and new properties such as (PWP) and (WP) were discovered. In this article, we extend these results to S-posets. Also we introduce Conditions (WP) w and (PWP) w and consider the relation between them and Conditions (WP), (PWP), and po-flatness. 相似文献

Let S be a pomonoid and I a proper right ideal of S. In a previous paper, using the amalgamated coproduct A(I) of two copies of S S over I, we were able to solve one of the problems posed in S. Bulman-Fleming et al. (Commun. Algebra 34:1291–1317, 2006). In the present paper, we investigate further flatness properties of A(I). We also solve another problem stated in the paper cited above. Namely, we determine the condition under which Rees factor S-posets have property (P w ). Research supported by nwnu-kjcxgc-03-18. 相似文献

If S is a monoid, a right S-act A S is a set A, equipped with a “right S-action” A×SA sending the pair (a,s)∈ A×S to as, that satisfies the conditions (i) a(st)=(as)t and (ii) a1=a for all aA and s,tS. If, in addition, S is equipped with a compatible partial order and A is a poset, such that the action is monotone (when A×S is equipped with the product order), then A S is called a right S-poset. Left S-acts and S-posets are defined analogously. For a given S-act (resp. S-poset) a tensor product functor A S ?? from left S-acts to sets (resp. left S-posets to posets) exists, and A S is called pullback flat or equalizer flat (resp. subpullback flat or subequalizer flat) if this functor preserves pullbacks or equalizers (resp. subpullbacks or subequalizers). By analogy with the Lazard-Govorov Theorem for R-modules, B. Stenström proved in 1971 that an S-act is isomorphic to a directed colimit of finitely generated free S -acts if and only if it is both pullback flat and equalizer flat. Some 20 years later, the present author showed that, in fact, pullback flatness by itself is sufficient. (A new, more direct proof of that result is contained in the present article.) In 2005, Valdis Laan and the present author obtained a version of the Lazard-Govorov Theorem for S-posets, in which subpullbacks and subequalizers now assume the role previously played by pullbacks and equalizers. The question of whether subpullback flatness implies subequalizer flatness remained unsolved. The present paper provides a negative answer to this question. 相似文献

Let be a field of characteristic and S 1 the unit circle. We prove that the shc-structure on a cochain algebra (A,d A ) induces an associative product on the negative cyclic homology HC * A. When the cochain algebra (A,d A ) is the algebra of normalized cochains of the simply connected topological space X with coefficients in , then HC * A is isomorphic as a graded algebra to the S 1-equivariant cohomology algebra of LX, the free loop space of X. We use the notion of shc-formality introduced in Topology 41, 85–106 (2002) to compute the S 1-equivariant cohomology algebras of the free loop space of the complex projective space when n + 1 = 0 [p] and of the even spheres S 2n when p = 2. 相似文献

We shall call a monoid S principally weakly (weakly) left coherent if direct products of nonempty families of principally weakly (weakly) flat right S-acts are principally weakly (weakly) flat. Such monoids have not been studied in general. However, Bulman-Fleming and McDowell proved that a commutative monoid S is (weakly) coherent if and only if the act S I is weakly flat for each nonempty set I. In this article we introduce the notion of finite (principal) weak flatness for characterizing (principally) weakly left coherent monoids. Also we investigate monoids over which direct products of acts transfer an arbitrary flatness property to their components. 相似文献

where λ > 0 is an eigenvalue parameter. To understand well the global behavior of the bifurcation branch in R + × L 2(I), we establish the precise asymptotic formula for λ(α), which is associated with eigenfunction u α with ‖ u α2 = α, as α → ∞. It is shown that if for some constant p > 1 the function h(u) ≔ f(u)/u p satisfies adequate assumptions, including a slow growth at ∞, then λ(α) ∼ α p−1 h(α) as α → ∞ and the second term of λ(α) as α → ∞ is determined by lim u → ∞ uh′(u). Let be a probability space with a nonatomic measure P and let (S,ρ) be a separable complete metric space. Let {N n ,n≥1} be an arbitrary sequence of positive-integer valued random variables. Let {F k ,k≥1} be a family of probability laws and let X be some random element defined on and taking values in (S,ρ). In this paper we present necessary and sufficient conditions under which one can construct an array of random elements {X n,k ,n,k≥1} defined on the same probability space and taking values in (S,ρ), and such that , and moreover as  n→∞. Furthermore, we consider the speed of convergence to X as n→∞. 相似文献

LetR be a commutative, semi-local ring,I 1, ...,I s ideals. In this paper, we define therelative Milnor K-groups of (R;I 1, ...,I s ),K p M (R;I 1, ...,I s ), and show that these groups have many of the properties of the usual MilnorK-groups of a field. In particular, assuming a weak condition on the ideals, we show thatK p M (R;I 1, ...,I s ) is isomorphic to the weightp portion of the relative QuillenK-groupK p (R;I 1, ...,I s ), after inverting (p–1)!. We also define the relative group homology of GL n (R;I 1, ...,I s ), and show thatK p M (R;I 1, ...,I s ) is isomorphic toH p (GLp(R;I 1, ...,I s ))/Im(H p (GL p–1 (R;I 1, ...,I s ))). Finally, we consider a generalization to the relative setting of Kato's conjecture asserting that the Galois symbol gives an isomorphism fromK p M (F)/l v to , and show that this relative version of Kato's conjecture implies the Quillen-Lichtenbaum conjectures asserting the Chern class:

An inverse theorem for the best weighted polynomial approximation of a function in (S) is established. We also investigate Besov spaces generated by Freud weight and their connection with algebraic polynomial approximation in , wherew α is a Jacobi-type weight onS, 0<p ≤ ∞,S is a simplex andW λ is a Freud weight. For Ditzian-TotikK-functionals onL p(S), 1 ≤p ≤ ∞, we obtain a new equivalence expression. 相似文献

Let X be a connected finite CW complex. We show that, given a positive homomorphism Hom(K *(C(X)), K *(A)) with [1 C(X)][1 A ], where A is a unital separable simple C *-algebra with real rank zero, stable rank one and weakly unperforated K 0(A), there exists a homomorphism h: C(X)A such that h induces . We also prove a structure result for unital separable simple C *-algebras A with real rank zero, stable rank one and weakly unperforated K 0(A), namely, there exists a simple AH-algebra of real rank zero contained in A which determines the K-theory of A. 相似文献

If S is an H-cone and P:SS is a localizable dilation operator on S (i.e., P is additive increasing, contractive, continuous in order from below and s(Ps+tPt+Pf)S, s,tS,f(SS)+), then it is proved that its adjoint P *:S *S * (i.e., P *=P) is also a localizable dilation operator. This is an improvement of a result obtained by G. Mokobodzki in the frame of excessive functions. 相似文献

Fix integers n, x, k such that n≥3, k>0, x≥4, (n, x)≠(3, 4) and k(n+1)<( n n+x ). Here we prove that the order x Veronese embedding ofP n is not weakly (k−1)-defective, i.e. for a general SP n such that #(S) = k+1 the projective space | I 2S (x)| of all degree t hypersurfaces ofP n singular at each point of S has dimension ( n /n+x )−1− k(n+1) (proved by Alexander and Hirschowitz) and a general F∈| I 2S (x)| has an ordinary double point at each PS and Sing (F)=S. Assume that each completely irrational noncommutative torus is realized as an inductive limit of circle algebras, and that for a completely irrational noncommutative torus Aw of rank m there are a completely irrational noncommutative torus Aρ of rank m and a positive integer d such that tr(Aw)=1/d.tr(Aρ).It is proved that the set of all C^*-algebras of sections of locally trivial C^*-algebra bundles over S^2 with fibres Aω has a group sturcture, denoted by π1^s(Aut(Aω)),which is isomorphic to Zif Ed>1 and {0} if d>1.Let Bcd be a cd-homogeneous C^*-algebra over S^2×T^2 of which no non-trivial matrix algebra can be factored out.The spherical noncommutative torus Sρ^cd is defined by twisting C^*(T2×Z^m-2) in Bcd ×C^*(Z^m-3) by a totally skew multiplier ρ on T^2×Z^m-2。It is shown that Sρ^cd×Mρ∞ is isomorphic to C(S^2)×C^*(T^2×Z^m-2,ρ)× Mcd(C)×Mρ∞ if and only if the set of prime factors of cd is a subset of the set of prime factors of p. 相似文献

If S is a monoid, the set S×S equipped with componentwise S-action is called the diagonal act of S and is denoted by D(S). We prove the following theorem: the right S-act S n (1≠n∈?) is (principally) weakly flat if and only if \(\prod _{i=1}^{n}A_{i}\) is (principally) weakly flat where A i , 1≤in are (principally) weakly flat right S-acts, if and only if the diagonal act D(S) is (principally) weakly flat. This gives an answer to a conjecture posed by Bulman-Fleming and Gilmour (Semigroup Forum 79:298–314, 2009). Besides, we present a fair characterization of monoids S over which the diagonal act D(S) is (principally) weakly flat and finally, we impose a condition on D(S) in order to make S a left PSF monoid. 相似文献

L p approximation capability of radial basis function (RBF) neural networks is investigated. If g: R +1R 1 and ∈ L loc p (R n ) with 1 ≤ p < ∞, then the RBF neural networks with g as the activation function can approximate any given function in L p (K) with any accuracy for any compact set K in R n , if and only if g(x) is not an even polynomial. Let be an n-dimensional compact, possibly with boundary, submanifold in an (n + p)-dimensional space form R n+p (c). Assume that r is even and , in this paper we introduce rth mean curvature function S r and (r + 1)-th mean curvature vector field . We call M to be an r-minimal submanifold if on M, we note that the concept of 0-minimal submanifold is the concept of minimal submanifold. In this paper, we define a functional of , by calculation of the first variational formula of J r we show that x is a critical point of J r if and only if x is r-minimal. Besides, we give many examples of r-minimal submanifolds in space forms. We calculate the second variational formula of J r and prove that there exists no compact without boundary stable r-minimal submanifold with in the unit sphere S n+p . When r = 0, noting S 0 = 1, our result reduces to Simons’ result: there exists no compact without boundary stable minimal submanifold in the unit sphere S n+p . 相似文献

Let R be a homogeneous ring over an infinite field, IR a homogeneous ideal, and I an ideal generated by s forms of degrees d 1,...,d s so that codim( :I)s. We give broad conditions for when the Hilbert function of R/ or of R/( :I) is determined by I and the degrees d 1,...,d s . These conditions are expressed in terms of residual intersections of I, culminating in the notion of residually S 2 ideals. We prove that the residually S 2 property is implied by the vanishing of certain Ext modules and deduce that generic projections tend to produce ideals with this property. 相似文献

We consider monoids $S=G\dot \cup I$ where G is a group and I is an ideal of S and show that if an S-act is principally weakly flat, (weakly) flat, torsion free or satisfies conditions (P) or (PE) as an I1-act, then it has these properties as an S-act. We also show that an S-act which is free, projective or strongly flat as an I1-act may not generally have these properties as an S-act. 相似文献
