Let R be a prime ring, L a noncentral Lie ideal and σ a nontrivial automorphism of R such that usσ(u)ut= 0 for all u ∈ L, where s, t are fixed non-negative integers. If either char R s + t or char R = 0, then R satisfies s4, the standard identity in four variables. We also examine the identity(σ([x, y])-[x, y])n=0 for all x, y ∈ I, where I is a nonzero ideal of R and n is a fixed positive integer. Starting with an initial vector λ = (λ(κ))κ∈z ∈ ep(Z), the subdivision scheme generates asequence (Snaλ)∞n=1 of vectors by the subdivision operator Saλ(κ) = ∑λ(j)a(k - 2j), k ∈ Z. j∈zSubdivision schemes play an important role in computer graphics and wavelet analysis. It is very interesting tounderstand under what conditions the sequence (Snaλ)∞n=1 converges to an Lp-function in an appropriate sense.This problem has been studied extensively. In this paper we show that the subdivision scheme converges forany initial vector in ep(Z) provided that it does for one nonzero vector in that space. Moreover, if the integertranslates of the refinable function are stable, the smoothness of the limit function corresponding to the vectorλ is also independent of λ.  相似文献

Let k1, k2 be nonzero integers with(k1, k2) = 1 and k1k2≠-1. Let Rk1,k2(A, n)be the number of solutions of n = k1a1 + k2a2, where a1, a2 ∈ A. Recently, Xiong proved that there is a set A  Z such that Rk1,k2(A, n) = 1 for all n ∈ Z. Let f : Z-→ N0∪ {∞} be a function such that f-1(0) is finite. Let S∈Rn×n be a symmetric and nontrival involution matrix. We say that A∈E R n×n is a symmetric reflexive matrix if AT = A and SAS = A. Let S R r n×n(S)={A|A= AT,A = SAS, A∈Rn×n}. This paper discusses the following two problems. The first one is as follows. Given Z∈Rn×m (m < n),∧= diag(λ1,...,λm)∈Rm×m, andα,β∈R withα<β. Find a subset (?)(Z,∧,α,β) of SRrn×n(S) such that AZ = Z∧holds for any A∈(?)(Z,∧,α,β) and the remaining eigenvaluesλm 1 ,...,λn of A are located in the interval [α,β], Moreover, for a given B∈Rn×n, the second problem is to find AB∈(?)(Z,∧,α,β) such that where ||.|| is the Frobenius norm. Using the properties of symmetric reflexive matrices, the two problems are essentially decomposed into the same kind of subproblems for two real symmetric matrices with smaller dimensions, and then the expressions of the general solution for the two problems are derived.  相似文献

Let I be a compact interval of real axis R, and(I, H) be the metric space of all nonempty closed subintervals of I with the Hausdorff metric H and f : I → I be a continuous multi-valued map. Assume that Pn =(x_0, x_1,..., xn) is a return tra jectory of f and that p ∈ [min Pn, max Pn] with p ∈ f(p). In this paper, we show that if there exist k(≥ 1) centripetal point pairs of f(relative to p)in {(x_i; x_i+1) : 0 ≤ i ≤ n-1} and n = sk + r(0 ≤ r ≤ k-1), then f has an R-periodic orbit, where R = s + 1 if s is even, and R = s if s is odd and r = 0, and R = s + 2 if s is odd and r 0. Besides,we also study stability of periodic orbits of continuous multi-valued maps from I to I.  相似文献

Abstract: In this paper, we consider the Goldbach's problem for matrix rings, namely, we decompose an n ×n (n > 1) matrix over a principal ideal domain R into a sum of two matrices in Mn(R) with given determinants. We prove the following result: Let n > 1 be a natural number and A = (αij) be a matrix in Mn(R). Define d(A) := g.c.d{αij}. Suppose that p and q are two elements in R. Then (1) If n > 1 is even, then A can be written as a sum of two matrices X, Y in Mn(R) with det(X) = p and det(Y) = q if and only if d(A) |p-q; (2) If n > 1 is odd, then A can be written as a sum of two matrices X, Y in Mn(R) with det(X) = p and det(Y) = q if and only if d(A) |p + q. We apply the result to the matrices in Mn(Z) and Mn(Q[x]) and prove that if R = Z or Q[x], then any nonzero matrix A in Mn(R) can be written as a sum of two matrices in Mn(R) with prime determinants.  相似文献

Let R be a ring with an endomorphism α and an α-derivation δ. We introduce the notions of symmetric α-rings and weak symmetric α-rings which are generalizations of symmetric rings and weak symmetric rings, respectively, discuss the relations between symmetricα-rings and related rings and investigate their extensions. We prove that if R is a reduced ring and α(1) = 1, then R is a symmetric α-ring if and only if R[x]/(x n) is a symmetric ˉα-ring for any positive integer n. Moreover, it is proven that if R is a right Ore ring, α an automorphism of R and Q(R) the classical right quotient ring of R, then R is a symmetric α-ring if and only if Q(R) is a symmetric ˉα-ring. Among others we also show that if a ring R is weakly 2-primal and(α, δ)-compatible, then R is a weak symmetric α-ring if and only if the Ore extension R[x; α, δ] of R is a weak symmetric ˉα-ring.  相似文献

In this paper, a generalization of the class of semicommutative rings is investigated.A ring R is called left GWZI if for any a ∈ R, l(a) is a GW-ideal of R. We prove that a ring R is left GWZI if and only if S3(R) is left GWZI if and only if Vn(R) is left GWZI for any n ≥ 2.  相似文献

In this paper, a new class of rings, called FIC rings, is introduced for studying quasi-zero-divisor graphs of rings. Let R be a ring. The quasi-zero-divisor graph of R, denoted by Γ_*(R), is a directed graph defined on its nonzero quasi-zero-divisors, where there is an arc from a vertex x to another vertex y if and only if x Ry = 0. We show that the following three conditions on an FIC ring R are equivalent:(1) χ(R) is finite;(2) ω(R) is finite;(3)Nil_*R is finite where Nil_*R equals the finite intersection of prime ideals. Furthermore, we also completely determine the connectedness, the diameter and the girth of Γ_*(R).  相似文献

本文研究形如△((△nu)(p-1) )=f(|x|,u,|(?)u|)u-β,x∈RN的奇异非线性多调和方程在RN上的正整体解,此处P>1,β≥0是常数,n是自然数,f:R × R ×R →R 是一个连续函数, ξδ*:=sign(ξ)·|ξ|δ,,ξ∈R,δ>0,给出了该类方程具有无穷多个其渐进阶刚好为|x|2n的正整体解的充分条件与必要条件.这些结论可以推广到更一般的方程.  相似文献

Let(M~n, g)(n ≥ 3) be an n-dimensional complete Riemannian manifold with harmonic curvature and positive Yamabe constant. Denote by R and R?m the scalar curvature and the trace-free Riemannian curvature tensor of M, respectively. The main result of this paper states that R?m goes to zero uniformly at infinity if for p ≥ n, the L~p-norm of R?m is finite.As applications, we prove that(M~n, g) is compact if the L~p-norm of R?m is finite and R is positive, and(M~n, g) is scalar flat if(M~n, g) is a complete noncompact manifold with nonnegative scalar curvature and finite L~p-norm of R?m. We prove that(M~n, g) is isometric to a spherical space form if for p ≥n/2, the L~p-norm of R?m is sufficiently small and R is positive.In particular, we prove that(M~n, g) is isometric to a spherical space form if for p ≥ n, R is positive and the L~p-norm of R?m is pinched in [0, C), where C is an explicit positive constant depending only on n, p, R and the Yamabe constant.  相似文献
