In order to simulate the uncertainty associated with impression or vagueness, a decision maker may give her/his judgments by means of triangular fuzzy reciprocal preference relations in the process of decision making. The study of their consistency becomes a very important aspect to avoid a misleading solution. Based on the reciprocity property, this paper proposes a new definition of consistent triangular fuzzy reciprocal preference relations. The new definition is different from that reduced by consistent fuzzy reciprocal preference relations proposed by Buckley (1985). The properties of consistent triangular fuzzy reciprocal preference relations in the light of the new definition are studied in detail. In addition, the shortcomings of the proof procedure of the proposition given by Wang and Chen (2008) are pointed out. And the proposition is reproved by using the new definition of consistent triangular fuzzy reciprocal preference relations. Finally, using the (n − 1) restricted comparison ratios, a method for obtaining consistent triangular fuzzy reciprocal preference relations is proposed, and an algorithm is shown to make a consistent decision ranking. Numerical results are further calculated to illustrate the new definition and the obtained algorithm.  相似文献

This paper outlines a chapter in the theory of ordered sets that concerns decompositions of ordered sets using various natural operations introduced by Garrett Birkhoff in 1940 – chiefly, the operations of sum (disjoint union), Cartesian product, and exponentiation. This area has seen two brief, four-year flowerings of research activity during the past sixty-four years. Ivan Rival, working with several collaborators around 1978, obtained beautiful results on exponentiation which attracted other researchers to this topic. Altogether, about a dozen people contributed a chain of significant new results between 1978–1982. The subject then lay dormant until a major contribution by Jonathan D. Farley appeared in 1996. This pre-figured the solution, four years later, of a central problem about exponentiation of finite ordered sets that Birkhoff had formulated in 1942. The theory of operations on ordered sets is a beautiful chapter of mathematics. We concentrate on those portions that are most relevant for the solution of the Birkhoff problem, offering (hopefully) accessible proofs of many results, including some new results. We would like to see a new renaissance of activity in this area, which continues to offer many attractive open problems. This paper is a continuation of our previous work (Part I, Stochastic Process. Appl. 93 (2001) 181–204), with the main purpose of establishing the uniqueness of the stochastic viscosity solution introduced there. We shall prove a comparison theorem between a stochastic viscosity solution and an ω-wise stochastic viscosity solution, which will lead to the uniqueness results. We consider new spectral relations for harmonic polynomials of two variables. The basic relations of this type are the integral relations in a disk, which make it possible to use these polynomials to construct the solution of certain singular equations of Newtonian potential type, of both first and second kind, given on the disk. A new technique of accurate stable computation of sequences satisfying non-homogeneous three term recurrence relations is presented. A decomposition system consisting of one non-linear and two linear first order recurrence relations is obtained. Forward or backward recursion directions of the linear relations provide additional flexibility in computation. This leads to an integrated system of three algorithms which can accurately compute the desired solution in each region of the solution set to the original second order relations. Applications are well known and numerical examples include Bessel functions of the second kind, Anger-Weber functions, and Lommel functions.  相似文献

The explicit solution of the generalized Toda models connected with the root systems of simple Lie algebras is constructed. This solution is obtained by a special projection of geodesic flows on some symmetric spaces on the phase space of the Toda models. We present a new semilocal convergence analysis for the Secant method in order to approximate a locally unique solution of a nonlinear equation in a Banach space setting. Our analysis is based on the weaker center-Lipschitz concept instead of the stronger Lipschitz condition which has been ubiquitously employed in other studies such as Amat et al. (2004)  [2], Bosarge and Falb (1969)  [9], Dennis (1971)  [10], Ezquerro et al. (2010)  [11], Hernández et al. (2005, 2000)   and , Kantorovich and Akilov (1982)  [14], Laasonen (1969)  [15], Ortega and Rheinboldt (1970)  [16], Parida and Gupta (2007)  [17], Potra (1982, 1984–1985, 1985)  ,  and , Proinov (2009, 2010)   and , Schmidt (1978) [23], Wolfe (1978)  [24] and Yamamoto (1987)  [25] for computing the inverses of the linear operators. We also provide lower and upper bounds on the limit point of the majorizing sequences for the Secant method. Under the same computational cost, our error analysis is tighter than that proposed in earlier studies. Numerical examples illustrating the theoretical results are also given in this study.  相似文献

I examine and discuss in this paper Orilia’s theory of external, non-symmetrical relations, that is based on ontological roles (O-Roles). I explore several attempts to interpret O-Roles from an ontological viewpoint and I reject them because of two problems concerning the status of asymmetrical relations (to be distinguished from non-symmetrical relations simpliciter) and of exemplification as an external, non-symmetrical relation. Finally, following Heil’s and Lowe’s characterization of modes as particular properties that ontologically depend on their “bearers”, I introduce relational modes in order to define a new solution to the problems of the ontological status of both external, non-symmetrical relations and O-Roles. I also deal with five objections raised by Fraser MacBride against relational modes and O-Roles and I elaborate an analysis of the relations of being to the left of and being to the right of.  相似文献

We suggest a method by which the solution of systems of nonlinear algebraic equations in one and two variables can be reduced to the spectral problem for linear pencils of two matrices and for a system of two matrix pencils of two matrices, respectively. This method is substantially different from the traditional methods of solution; at the same time it is useful for the study of the solvability and the determination of the number of solutions of such systems. In this paper, we propose a new approach of the generalized differential transform method (GDTM) for solving nonlinear fractional differential equations. In GDTM, it is a key to derive a recurrence relation of generalized differential transform (GDT) associated with the solution in the given fractional equation. However, the recurrence relations of complex nonlinear functions such as exponential, logarithmic and trigonometry functions have not been derived before in GDTM. We propose new algorithms to construct the recurrence relations of complex nonlinear functions and apply the GDTM with the proposed algorithms to solve nonlinear fractional differential equations. Several illustrative examples are demonstrated to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. It is shown that the proposed technique is robust and accurate for solving fractional differential equations.  相似文献

In this paper we continue exploring the notion of weak solution of forward?Cbackward stochastic differential equations (FBSDEs) and associated forward?Cbackward martingale problems (FBMPs). The main purpose of this work is to remove the constraints on the martingale integrands in the uniqueness proofs in our previous work (Ma et?al. in Ann Probab 36(6):2092?C2125, 2008). We consider a general class of non-degenerate FBSDEs in which all the coefficients are assumed to be essentially only bounded and uniformly continuous, and the uniqueness is proved in the space of all the square integrable adapted solutions, the standard solution space in the FBSDE literature. A new notion of semi-strong solution is introduced to clarify the relations among different definitions of weak solution in the literature, and it is in fact instrumental in our uniqueness proof. As a by-product, we also establish some a priori estimates of the second derivatives of the solution to the decoupling quasilinear PDE.  相似文献

We study the stability of branching solutions of a system of two nonlinearly perturbed Laplace equations in a half-space with two differential relations on the interface. This system describes the motion of a two-layer fluid. To construct and study the related branching systems, methods of group analysis of differential equations (RZhMat 1978 11B883K, RZhMat 1983 11A813K) and the S. Lie-L.V. A survey is presented of mathematical methods in the theory of the Feynman path integral. Principal attention is devoted to new results making it possible to represent the solution of the Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger equation and a quasilinear equation of Hartree type in the form of the mathematical expectation of functionals on jump-type Markov processes and to use Monte Carlo methods for solving these equations. It is known that by means of minimal values of tolerances one can obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the uniqueness of the optimal solution of a combinatorial optimization problem (COP) with an additive objective function and the set of nonembedded feasible solutions. Moreover, the notion of a tolerance is defined locally, i.e., with respect to a chosen optimal solution. In this paper we introduce the notion of a global tolerance with respect to the whole set of optimal solutions and prove that the nonembeddedness assumption on the set of feasible solutions of the COP can be relaxed, which generalizes the well known relations for the extremal values of the tolerances. In particular, we formulate a new criterion for the uniqueness of the optimal solution of the COP with an additive objective function, which is based on certain equalities between locally and globally defined tolerances.  相似文献
