Let Γ be the fundamental group of a compact surface group with non-empty boundary. We suppose that Γ admits a properly discontinuous strictly type preserving action on hyperbolic 3-space such that there is a positive lower bound on the translation lengths of loxodromic elements. We describe the Cannon–Thurston map in this case. In particular, we show that there is a continuous equivariant map of the circle to the boundary of hyperbolic 3-space, where the action on the circle is obtained by taking any finite-area complete hyperbolic structure on the surface, and lifting to the boundary of hyperbolic 2-space. We deduce that the limit set is locally connected, hence a dentrite in the singly degenerate case. Moreover, we show that the Cannon–Thurston map can be described topologically as the quotient of the circle by the equivalence relations arising from the ends of the quotient 3-manifold. For closed surface bundles over the circle, this was obtained by Cannon and Thurston. Some generalisations and variations have been obtained by Minsky, Mitra, Alperin, Dicks, Porti, McMullen and Cannon. We deduce that a finitely generated kleinian group with a positive lower bound on the translation lengths of loxodromics has a locally connected limit set assuming it is connected.  相似文献

In this paper by considering the notion of hyperlattice, we introduce good and s-good hyperlattices, homomorphism of hyperlattices and s-reflexives. We give some examples of them and we study their structures. The quotient class of a non-archimedean field is the set of cosets with respect to all of its additive convex subgroups. The algebraic operations on the quotient class are the Minkowski sum and product. We study the algebraic laws of these operations. Addition and multiplication have a common structure in terms of regular ordered semigroups. The two algebraic operations are related by an adapted distributivity law.  相似文献

The magnetic field strength at which the antiferromagnetic ordering becomes unstable is found analytically for a model of a one-dimensional ferromagnet with classical spin and anisotropic interaction. A method is presented for characterizing the family of overall systems reconstructable from a given possibilistic structure system. The technique is elaborated in terms of fuzzy relation equations.It is demonstrated that the reconstruction family of a given structure system is equivalent to the set of solutions of a special type of fuzzy relation equation. The solution set is partially ordered, and contains both minimal solutions and a unique maximum solution. When these elements are identified, all members of the reconstruction family are determined.Another characteristic of the reconstruction family is its reconstruction uncertainty, a measure of which is also developed in this paper. This measure is used to define an identifiability quotient that expresses the degree of confidence with which we may identify a single overall system given a particular structure system.  相似文献

An optimal control problem with two phase constraints and a two-dimensional control is considered. We prove that its optimal trajectories have a countable number of points of contact with the phase constraint bound on a finite time interval. The optimal synthesis of the problem after applying the quotient mapping by the action of the scale group has a complicated topological structure and, in some neighborhood of singular extremals, it is the Reeb foliation.  相似文献

In this work, we define and study the algebraic Cayley directed graph over a finite local ring. Its vertex set is the unit group of a finite extension of a finite local ring R and its adjacency condition is that the quotient is a monic primary polynomial. We investigate its connectedness and diameter bound, and we also show that our graph is an expander graph. In addition, if a local ring has nilpotency two, then we obtain a better view of our graph from the lifting of the graph over its residue field.  相似文献
