We study a discrete system in a neighborhood of a quasi-periodic trajectory. We obtain conditions for reducing a system in this neighborhood to a system with quasi-periodic coefficients. We consider a model example of a diffeomorphism of a two-dimensional manifold with two hyperbolic fixed points joined by a separatrix. We show how differential geometry of smooth curves on the conformal plane can be studied by Élie Cartan’s method of exterior forms and moving frames. We find the canonical form of the derivation equations of a curve (which is not a circle) in the case of a semi-isotropic frame. We give a new proof of the theorem that states that curves of constant (in particular, zero) conformal curvature are loxodromes. We integrate the system of structure equations of the isotropy subgroup of a point.  相似文献

We consider a mathematical model which describes the dynamic process of contact between a piezoelectric body and an electrically conductive foundation. We model the material’s behavior with a nonlinear electro-viscoelastic constitutive law; the contact is frictionless and is described with the normal compliance condition and a regularized electrical conductivity condition. We derive a variational formulation for the problem and then, under a smallness assumption on the data, we prove the existence of a unique weak solution to the model. We also investigate the behavior of the solution with respect the electric data on the contact surface and prove a continuous dependence result. Then, we introduce a fully discrete scheme, based on the finite element method to approximate the spatial variable and the backward Euler scheme to discretize the time derivatives. We treat the contact by using a penalized approach and a version of Newton’s method. We implement this scheme in a numerical code and, in order to verify its accuracy, we present numerical simulations in the study of two-dimensional test problems. These simulations provide a numerical validation of our continuous dependence result and illustrate the effects of the conductivity of the foundation, as well.  相似文献

We study the bending of a thin plate, stiffened with a thin elastic layer, of thickness δ. We describe the complete construction of an asymptotic expansion with respect to δ of the solution of the Kirchhoff–Love model and give optimal estimates for the remainder. We identify approximate boundary conditions, which take into account the effect of the stiffener at various orders. Thanks to the tools of multi‐scale analysis, we give optimal estimates for the error between the approximate problems and the original one. We develop in this paper a generic and precise identification of a scheduling problem in a flexible manufacturing system. We consider a flowshop robotic cell that processes several jobs. We assume that there is no intermediate buffer between machines. So, jobs may be blocked when downstream machines are busy. We present an integer programming model to determine the sequence of jobs that minimizes the makespan criterion. In order to solve large size problems, we propose a genetic algorithm (GA). Finally, computational experiments are proposed in order to compare the makespan returned by the GA to a lower bound.  相似文献

We use the dressing method to find exact solutions of the Landau-Lifshitz equation for a ferromagnet with light-axis anisotropy. These solutions describe the interaction of a nonlinear precession wave of arbitrary amplitude with solitons. We analyze the change of the internal structure and the physical parameters of the solitons as a result of their interaction with the magnetization wave. We find an infinite series of integrals of motion that stabilize the soliton on the background of the pumping wave.  相似文献

We study the coefficient stability of a difference scheme approximating a mixed problem for a one-dimensional semilinear parabolic equation. We obtain sufficient conditions on the input data under which the solutions of the differential and difference problems are bounded. We also obtain estimates of perturbations of the solution of a linearized difference scheme with respect to perturbations of the coefficients; these estimates agree with the estimates for the differential problem.  相似文献

We consider perturbations of a second-order periodic operator on the line; the Schr?dinger operator with a periodic potential is a specific case of such an operator. The perturbation is realized by a potential depending on two small parameters, one of which describes the length of the potential support, and the inverse value of other corresponds to the value of the potential. We obtain sufficient conditions for the perturbing potential to have eigenvalues in the gaps of the continuous spectrum. We also construct their asymptotic expansions and present sufficient conditions for the eigenvalues of the perturbing potential to be absent.  相似文献

We obtain an exact solution to the problem of damped rotation of a solid cylinder and the surrounding viscous liquid which is at rest at infinity. We consider the vibrations of a conical shell filled with a fluid. We obtain a system of differential equations that describes the interaction of a variable volume of fluid with the shell. We solve the problem of determining the natural frequencies for a completely full shell. We consider the problem of the two-dimensional motion of a nonviscous incompressible fluid in the field of gravity. To calculate the flow field, we use the method of the asymptotic expansion of the solution with respect to a small parameter. The constructed algorithm allows one to obtain a picture of the flow functions for the exact (nonlinear) problem of a perturbed flow of a stratified fluid. The main limitations of the algorithm are the absence of backflow zones (rotors) and a large typical horizontal size of the solution as compared with the depth of the flow.
