We study the inverse problem of recovering Sturm-Liouville operators on the half-line with a Bessel-type singularity inside the interval from the given Weyl function. The corresponding uniqueness theorem is proved, a constructive procedure for the solution of the inverse problem is provided, also necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the inverse problem are obtained.  相似文献

We consider the problem on nonzero solutions of the Schrödinger equation on the half-line with potential that implicitly depends on the wave function via a nonlinear ordinary differential equation of the second order under zero boundary conditions for the wave function and the condition that the potential is zero at the beginning of the interval and its derivative is zero at infinity. The problem is reduced to the analysis and investigation of solutions of the Cauchy problem for a system of two nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equations with initial conditions depending on two parameters. We show that if the solution of the Cauchy problem for some parameter values can be extended to the entire half-line, then there exists a nonzero solution of the original problem with finitely many zeros.  相似文献

The general nonlinear self-adjoint eigenvalue problem for a differential algebraic system of equations on a half-line is examined. The boundary conditions are chosen so that the solution to this system is bounded at infinity. Under certain assumptions, the original problem can be reduced to a self-adjoint system of differential equations. After certain transformations, this system, combined with the boundary conditions, forms a nonlinear self-adjoint eigenvalue problem. Requirements for the appropriate boundary conditions are clarified. Under the additional assumption that the initial data are monotone functions of the spectral parameter, a method is proposed for calculating the number of eigenvalues of the original problem that lie on a prescribed interval of this parameter.  相似文献

We study boundary value problems on compact graphs without circles (i.e. on trees) for second-order ordinary differential equations with nonlinear dependence on the spectral parameter. We establish properties of the spectral characteristics and investigate the inverse spectral problem of recovering the coefficients of the differential equation from the so-called Weyl vector which is a generalization of the Weyl function (m-function) for the classical Sturm-Liouville operator. For this inverse problem we prove the uniqueness theorem and obtain a procedure for constructing the solution by the method of spectral mappings.  相似文献

The inverse spectral problem of recovering pencils of second-order differential operators on the half-line is studied. We give a formulation of the inverse problem, prove the uniqueness theorem and provided a procedure for constructing the solution of the inverse problem. We also establishe connections with inverse problems for partial differential equations.  相似文献

We study boundary value problems on noncompact cycle-free graphs (i.e., trees) for second-order ordinary differential equations with a nonlinear dependence on the spectral parameter. We establish properties of the spectrum and analyze the inverse problem of reconstructing the coefficients of a differential equation on the basis of the so-called Weyl functions. For this inverse problem, we prove a uniqueness theorem and obtain a procedure for constructing the solution by the method of spectral mapping.  相似文献

We suggest a method for determining the number of an eigenvalue of a self-adjoint spectral problem nonlinear with respect to the spectral parameter, for some class of Hamiltonian systems of ordinary differential equations on the half-line. The standard boundary conditions are posed at zero, and the solution boundedness condition is posed at infinity. We assume that the matrix of the system is monotone with respect to the spectral parameter. The number of an eigenvalue is determined by the properties of the corresponding nontrivially solvable homogeneous boundary value problem. For the considered class of systems, it becomes possible to compute the numbers of eigenvalues lying in a given range of the spectral parameter without finding the eigenvalues themselves.  相似文献

Inverse problem to recover the skew-self-adjoint Dirac-type system from the generalized Weyl matrix function is treated in the paper. Sufficient conditions under which the unique solution of the inverse problem exists, are formulated in terms of the Weyl function and a procedure to solve the inverse problem is given. The case of the generalized Weyl functions of the form f(l) exp{-2ilD}{\phi(\lambda)\,{\rm exp}\{-2i{\lambda}D\}}, where f{\phi} is a strictly proper rational matrix function and D = D* ≥ 0 is a diagonal matrix, is treated in greater detail. Explicit formulas for the inversion of the corresponding semiseparable integral operators and recovery of the Dirac-type system are obtained for this case.  相似文献

We consider the mixed initial–boundary value problem for the Benjamin–Ono equation on a half-line. We study traditionally important problems of the theory of nonlinear partial differential equations, such as global in time existence of solutions to the initial–boundary value problem and the asymptotic behavior of solutions for large time.  相似文献

Inverse spectral problems for ordinary differential operators of any order on compact trees are studied. As the main spectral characteristics, Weyl matrices, which generalize the Weyl m-function for the classical Sturm-Liouville operator are introduced and studied. A constructive solution procedure for the inverse problem based on Weyl matrices is suggested, and the uniqueness of the solution is proved. The reconstruction of differential equations from discrete spectral characteristics is also considered.  相似文献

An initial boundary-value problem for a quasilinear system of partial differential equations with a nonlocal boundary condition involving a delayed argument is considered. The existence of a unique solution to this problem is proved by reducing it to a system of nonlinear integral-functional equations. The inverse problem of finding a solution-dependent coefficient of the system from additional information on a solution component specified at a fixed point of space as a function of time is formulated. The uniqueness of the solution of the inverse problem is proved. The proof is based on the derivation and analysis of an integral-functional equation for the difference between two solutions of the inverse problem.  相似文献

We study inverse spectral problems for ordinary differential equations on compact star-type graphs when differential equations have different orders on different edges. As the main spectral characteristics we introduce and study the so-called Weyl-type matrices which are generalizations of the Weyl function (m-function) for the classical Sturm-Liouville operator. We provide a procedure for constructing the solution of the inverse problem and prove its uniqueness.  相似文献

We determine the boundary of a two-dimensional region using the solution of the external initial boundary-value problem for the nonhomogeneous heat equation. The initial values for the boundary determination include the right-hand side of the equation and the solution of the initial boundary-value problem given for finitely many points outside the region. The inverse problem is reduced to solving a system of two integral equations nonlinear in the function defining the sought boundary. An iterative procedure is proposed for numerical solution of the problem involving linearization of integral equations. The efficiency of the proposed procedure is investigated by a computer experiment.  相似文献

We consider an inverse coefficient problem for a linear system of partial differential equations. The values of one solution component on a given curve are used as additional information for determining the unknown coefficient. The proof of the uniqueness of the solution of the inverse problem is based on the analysis of the unique solvability of a homogeneous integral equation of the first kind. The existence of a solution of the inverse problem is proved by reduction to a system of nonlinear integral equations.  相似文献

The Zakharov–Shabat inverse spectral problem is constructed for a potential with support on the half-line and with a boundary value at the origin. This prescribed value is shown to produce a Jost solution with an essential singularity at large values of the spectral parameter; this requires particular attention when solving the related Hilbert boundary value problem. The method is then used to illustrate the sine-Gordon equation (in the light cone) and is discussed using a singular limit of the stimulated Raman scattering equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a two-grid discretization scheme for semilinear parabolic integro-differential equations by $H^{1}$-Galerkin mixed finite element methods. We use the lowest order Raviart-Thomas mixed finite elements and continuous linear finite element for spatial discretization, and backward Euler scheme for temporal discretization. Firstly, a priori error estimates and some superclose properties are derived. Secondly, a two-grid scheme is presented and its convergence is discussed. In the proposed two-grid scheme, the solution of the nonlinear system on a fine grid is reduced to the solution of the nonlinear system on a much coarser grid and the solution of two symmetric and positive definite linear algebraic equations on the fine grid and the resulting solution still maintains optimal accuracy. Finally, a numerical experiment is implemented to verify theoretical results of the proposed scheme. The theoretical and numerical results show that the two-grid method achieves the same convergence property as the one-grid method with the choice $h=H^2$.  相似文献

We derive the continual system of nonlinear interaction waves from the compatibility of the transport equation on the whole line and the equation governing the time-evolution of the eigenfunctions of the transport operator. The transport equation represents the continual generalization from the n-component system of first-order ordinary differential equations. The continual system describes a nonlinear interaction of waves. We prove that the continual system can be integrated by the inverse scattering method. The method is based on applying the results of the inverse scattering problem for the transport equation to finding the solution of the Cauchy initial-value problem for the continual system. Indeed, the transition operator for the scattering problem admits right and left Volterra factorizations. The intermediate operator for this problem determines the one-to-one correspondence between the preimages of a solution of the transport equation. This operator is related to the transition operator and admits not only right and left Volterra factorizations but also the analytic factorization. By virtue of this fact the potential in the transport equation is uniquely reconstructed in terms of the solutions of the fundamental equations in inverse problem. We introduce the generalized Lax equation. This enables us to derive the time-evolution of the transition operator. Then, the time-dependent intermediate operator is constructed. The solution of the considered Cauchy problem is expressed in terms of solutions of the fundamental equations in inverse problem. This solution is found uniquely from the given initial condition.  相似文献

The article investigates the reconstruction of the internal boundary of a two-dimensional region in the two-dimensional initial–boundary-value problem for the homogeneous heat equation. The initial values for the determination of the internal boundary are provided by a boundary condition of second kind on the external boundary and the solution of the initial–boundary-value problem at finitely many points inside the region. The inverse problem is reduced to solving a system of integral equations nonlinear in the function describing the sought boundary. An iterative numerical procedure is proposed involving linearization of integral equations.  相似文献
