In this paper, we are concerned with the global existence and convergence rates of the smooth solutions for the compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations without heat conductivity, which is a hyperbolic-parabolic system. The global solutions are obtained by combining the local existence and a priori estimates if H3-norm of the initial perturbation around a constant states is small enough and its L1-norm is bounded. A priori decay-in-time estimates on the pressure, velocity and magnetic field are used to get the uniform bound of entropy. Moreover, the optimal convergence rates are also obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the partial regularity of the general weak solution u∈L∞(0,T;L2(Ω))∩L2(0,T;H1(Ω)) to the Navier-Stokes equations, which include the well-known Leray-Hopf weak solutions. It is shown that there is a absolute constant ε such that for the weak solution u, if either the scaled local Lq(1?q?2) norm of the gradient of the solution, or the scaled local ) norm of u is less than ε, then u is locally bounded. This implies that the one-dimensional Hausdorff measure is zero for the possible singular point set, which extends the corresponding result due to Caffarelli et al. (Comm. Pure Appl. Math. 35 (1982) 717) to more general weak solution.  相似文献

We present new interior regularity criteria for suitable weak solutions of the magnetohydrodynamic equations in dimension three: a suitable weak solution is regular near an interior point z if the scaled -norm of the velocity with 1?3/p+2/q?2, 1?q?∞ is sufficiently small near z and if the scaled -norm of the magnetic field with 1?3/l+2/m?2, 1?m?∞ is bounded near z. Similar results are also obtained for the vorticity and for the gradient of the vorticity. Furthermore, with the aid of the regularity criteria, we exhibit some regularity conditions involving pressure for weak solutions of the magnetohydrodynamic equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with certain natural Sobolev-type estimates for weak solutions of inhomogeneous problems for second-order parabolic equations in divergence form. The geometric setting is that of time-independent cylinders having a space intersection assumed to be locally given by graphs with small Lipschitz coefficients, the constants of the operator being uniformly parabolic. We prove the relevant Lp estimates, assuming that the coefficients are in parabolic bounded mean oscillation (BMO) and that their parabolic BMO semi-norms are small enough.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish some new interior regularity criteria for suitable weak solutions of the liquid crystals flow in terms of the smallness of the scaled Lp,q‐norm of the velocity field or the vorticity, which extends the results by Scheffer in [Communications in Mathematical Physics 1980; 73 :1–42]. We show the propagation of regularity, uniformly in time, for the scaled solutions of the inelastic Maxwell model for small inelasticity. This result together with the weak convergence towards the homogeneous cooling state present in the literature implies the strong convergence in Sobolev norms and in the L1 norm towards it depending on the regularity of the initial data. The strategy of the proof is based on a precise control of the growth of the Fisher information for the inelastic Boltzmann equation. Moreover, as an application we obtain a bound in the L1 distance between the homogeneous cooling state and the corresponding Maxwellian distribution vanishing as the inelasticity goes to zero.  相似文献

Global weighted Lp estimates are obtained for the gradient of solutions to nonlinear elliptic Dirichlet boundary value problems over a bounded nonsmooth domain. Morrey and Hölder regularity of solutions are also established, as a consequence. These results generalize various existing estimates for nonlinear equations. The nonlinearities are of at most linear growth and assumed to have a uniform small mean oscillation. The boundary of the domain, on the other hand, may exhibit roughness but assumed to be sufficiently flat in the sense of Reifenberg. Our approach uses maximal function estimates and Vitali covering lemma, and also known regularity results of solutions to nonlinear homogeneous equations.  相似文献

In this article, we give the existence of global L bounded entropy solutions to the Cauchy problem of a generalized n × n hyperbolic system of LeRoux type. The main difficulty lies in establishing some compactness estimates of the viscosity solutions because the system has been generalized from 2 × 2 to n × n and more linearly degenerate characteristic fields emerged, and the emergence of singularity in the region {v1=0} is another difficulty. We obtain the existence of the global weak solutions using the compensated compactness method coupled with the construction of entropy-entropy flux and BV estimates on viscous solutions.  相似文献

We study the dependence of the variational solution of the inhomogeneous Dirichlet problem for a second order elliptic equation with respect to perturbations of the domain. We prove optimal L2 and energy estimates for the difference of two solutions in two open sets in terms of the “distance” between them and suitable geometrical parameters which are related to the regularity of their boundaries. We derive such estimates when at least one of the involved sets is uniformly Lipschitz: due to the connection of this problem with the regularity properties of the solutions in the L2 family of Sobolev–Besov spaces, the Lipschitz class is the reasonably weakest one compatible with the optimal estimates.  相似文献

The asymptotic behavior of solutions of the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations is considered on bounded smooth domains with no-slip boundary conditions and on periodic domains. Asymptotic regularity conditions are presented to ensure that the convergence of a Leray-Hopf weak solution to its weak ω-limit set (weak in the sense of the weak topology of the space H of square-integrable divergence-free velocity fields with the appropriate boundary conditions) are achieved also in the strong topology. It is proved that the weak ω-limit set is strongly compact and strongly attracts the corresponding solution if and only if all the solutions in the weak ω-limit set are continuous in the strong topology of H. Corresponding results for the strong convergence towards the weak global attractor of Foias and Temam are also presented. In this case, it is proved that the weak global attractor is strongly compact and strongly attracts the weak solutions, uniformly with respect to uniformly bounded sets of weak solutions, if and only if all the global weak solutions in the weak global attractor are strongly continuous in H.  相似文献

This paper aims at the global regularity of classical solutions to the 2D Boussinesq equations with vertical dissipation and vertical thermal diffusion. We prove that the Lr-norm of the vertical velocity v for any 1<r<∞ is globally bounded and that the L-norm of v controls any possible breakdown of classical solutions. In addition, we show that an extra thermal diffusion given by the fractional Laplace δ(−Δ) for δ>0 would guarantee the global regularity of classical solutions.  相似文献

A priori estimate for non-uniform elliptic equations with periodic boundary conditions is concerned. The domain considered consists of two sub-regions, a connected high permeability region and a disconnected matrix block region with low permeability. Let ? denote the size ratio of one matrix block to the whole domain. It is shown that in the connected high permeability sub-region, the Hölder and the Lipschitz estimates of the non-uniform elliptic solutions are bounded uniformly in ?. But Hölder gradient estimate and Lp estimate of the second order derivatives of the solutions in general are not bounded uniformly in ?.  相似文献

We study the regularity of the solutions for the wave equations with potentials that are time-dependent and singular. The size of the potentials is exactly a function of the spatial dimension rather than being small enough in the known results. Based on a weighted L2 estimate for the solutions, we prove the local regularity and the Strichartz estimates. The solvability of the equation is also studied.  相似文献

Recently, using DiGiorgi-type techniques, Caffarelli and Vasseur have shown that a certain class of weak solutions to the drift diffusion equation with initial data in L2 gain H¨older continuity, provided that the BMO norm of the drift velocity is bounded uniformly in time. We show a related result: a uniform bound on the BMO norm of a smooth velocity implies a uniform bound on the Cβ norm of the solution for some β > 0. We apply elementary tools involving the control of H¨older norms by using test functions. In particular, our approach offers a third proof of the global regularity for the critical surface quasigeostrophic (SQG) equation in addition to the two proofs obtained earlier. We prove the global-in-time existence of nonnegative weak solutions to a class of fourth order partial differential equations on a convex bounded domain in arbitrary spatial dimensions. Our proof relies on the formal gradient flow structure of the equation with respect to the L2-Wasserstein distance on the space of probability measures. We construct a weak solution by approximation via the time-discrete minimizing movement scheme; necessary compactness estimates are derived by entropy-dissipation methods. Our theory essentially comprises the thin film and Derrida-Lebowitz-Speer-Spohn equations.  相似文献

For a class of quasilinear parabolic systems with nonlinear Robin boundary conditions we construct a compact local solution semiflow in a nonlinear phase space of high regularity. We further show that a priori estimates in lower norms are sufficient for the existence of a global attractor in this phase space. The approach relies on maximal Lp-regularity with temporal weights for the linearized problem. An inherent smoothing effect due to the weights is employed for obtaining gradient estimates. In several applications we can improve the convergence to an attractor by one regularity level.  相似文献

In this paper, a one-dimensional bipolar Euler-Poisson system(a hydrodynamic model) from semiconductors or plasmas with boundary efects is considered. This system takes the form of Euler-Poisson with an electric field and frictional damping added to the momentum equations. The large-time behavior of uniformly bounded weak solutions to the initial-boundary value problem for the one-dimensional bipolar Euler-Poisson system is firstly presented. Next, two particle densities and the corresponding current momenta are verified to satisfy the porous medium equation and the classical Darcy’s law time asymptotically. Finally, as a by-product, the quasineutral limit of the weak solutions to the initial-boundary value problem is investigated in the sense that the bounded L∞entropy solution to the one-dimensional bipolar Euler-Poisson system converges to that of the corresponding one-dimensional compressible Euler equations with damping exponentially fast as t → +∞. As far as we know, this is the first result about the asymptotic behavior and the quasineutral limit for the one-dimensional bipolar Euler-Poisson system with boundary efects and a vacuum.  相似文献

We consider a special class of radial solutions of semilinear equations −Δu=g(u) in the unit ball of Rn. It is the class of semi-stable solutions, which includes local minimizers, minimal solutions, and extremal solutions. We establish sharp pointwise, Lq, and Wk,q estimates for semi-stable radial solutions. Our regularity results do not depend on the specific nonlinearity g. Among other results, we prove that every semi-stable radial weak solution is bounded if n?9 (for every g), and belongs to H3=W3,2 in all dimensions n (for every g increasing and convex). The optimal regularity results are strongly related to an explicit exponent which is larger than the critical Sobolev exponent.  相似文献
