Let X be a locally compact topological space and (X, E, Xω) be any triple consisting of a hyperfinite set X in a sufficiently saturated nonstandard universe, a monadic equivalence relation E on X, and an E-closed galactic set XωX, such that all internal subsets of Xω are relatively compact in the induced topology and X is homeomorphic to the quotient Xω/E. We will show that each regular complex Borel measure on X can be obtained by pushing down the Loeb measure induced by some internal function . The construction gives rise to an isometric isomorphism of the Banach space M(X) of all regular complex Borel measures on X, normed by total variation, and the quotient , for certain external subspaces of the hyperfinite dimensional Banach space , with the norm ‖f‖1 = ∑xX |f(x)|. If additionally X = G is a hyperfinite group, Xω = Gω is a galactic subgroup of G, E is the equivalence corresponding to a normal monadic subgroup G0 of Gω, and G is isomorphic to the locally compact group Gω/G0, then the above Banach space isomorphism preserves the convolution, as well, i.e., M(G) and are isometrically isomorphic as Banach algebras. We establish a close link between the amenability property of a unitary representation p \pi of a group G (in the sense of Bekka) and the concentration property (in the sense of V. Milman) of the corresponding dynamical system (\Bbb Sp, G) ({\Bbb S}_{\pi}, G) , where \Bbb SH {\Bbb S}_{\cal H} is the unit sphere the Hilbert space of representation. We prove that p \pi is amenable if and only if either p \pi contains a finite-dimensional subrepresentation or the maximal uniform compactification of (\Bbb Sp ({\Bbb S}_{\pi} has a G-fixed point. Equivalently, the latter means that the G-space (\Bbb Sp, G) ({\Bbb S}_{\pi}, G) has the concentration property: every finite cover of the sphere \Bbb Sp {\Bbb S}_{\pi} contains a set A such that for every e > 0 \epsilon > 0 the e \epsilon -neighbourhoods of the translations of A by finitely many elements of G always intersect. As a corollary, amenability of p \pi is equivalent to the existence of a G-invariant mean on the uniformly continuous bounded functions on \Bbb Sp {\Bbb S}_{\pi} . As another corollary, a locally compact group G is amenable if and only if for every strongly continuous unitary representation of G in an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space H {\cal H} the system (\Bbb SH, G) ({\Bbb S}_{\cal H}, G) has the property of concentration.  相似文献

Let G be a reductive algebraic group defined over \Bbb Q {\Bbb Q} . Let P, P' be parabolic subgroups of G, defined over \Bbb Q {\Bbb Q} , and let _boxclose_boxclose, a_P') t \in W({\frak a}_{P}, {\frak a}_{P'}) . In this paper we study the intertwining operator MP¢|P(t,l), l ? \frak a*P,\Bbb C M_{P' \vert P}(t,\lambda),\,\lambda \in {\frak a}^*_{P,{\Bbb C}} , acting in corresponding spaces of automorphic forms. One of the main results states that each matrix coefficient of MP¢|P(t,l) M_{P' \vert P}(t,\lambda) is a meromorphic function of order £ n + 1 \le n + 1 , where n = dim G. Using this result, we further investigate the rank one intertwining operators, in particular, we study the distribution of their poles.  相似文献

We also consider some modifications of this problem including the question of the existence of elements of sumsets on algebraic varieties.  相似文献

In this paper, we will define a graph von Neumann algebra over a fixed von Neumann algebra M, where G is a countable directed graph, by a crossed product algebra = M × α , where is the graph groupoid of G and α is the graph-representation. After defining a certain conditional expectation from onto its M-diagonal subalgebra we can see that this crossed product algebra is *-isomorphic to an amalgamated free product where = vN(M × α where is the subset of consisting of all reduced words in {e, e –1} and M × α is a W *-subalgebra of as a new graph von Neumann algebra induced by a graph G e . Also, we will show that, as a Banach space, a graph von Neumann algebra is isomorphic to a Banach space ⊕ where is a certain subset of the set E(G)* of all words in the edge set E(G) of G. We define, over k = \BbbFpk = {\Bbb{F}}_{p}, a splitting of the Frobenius morphism Fr : \textDist (G) ? \textDist (G)Fr : {\text{Dist}}\,(G) \rightarrow {\text{Dist}}\,(G) on the whole \textDist (G){\text{Dist}}\,(G), the algebra of distributions of the k-algebraic group G: = SL 2. Given a weighted discrete abelian semigroup (S, ω), the semigroup M ω (S) of ω-bounded multipliers as well as the Rees quotient M ω (S)/S together with their respective weights [(w)\tilde]\tilde{\omega} and [(w)\tilde]q\tilde{\omega}_q induced by ω are studied; for a large class of weights ω, the quotient l1(Mw(S),[(w)\tilde])/l1(S,w)\ell^1(M_{\omega}(S),\tilde{\omega})/\ell^1(S,{\omega}) is realized as a Beurling algebra on the quotient semigroup M ω (S)/S; the Gel’fand spaces of these algebras are determined; and Banach algebra properties like semisimplicity, uniqueness of uniform norm and regularity of associated Beurling algebras on these semigroups are investigated. The involutive analogues of these are also considered. The results are exhibited in the context of several examples.  相似文献

Let H be an atomic monoid. For k ? \Bbb Nk \in {\Bbb N} let Vk (H){\cal V}_k (H) denote the set of all m ? \Bbb Nm \in {\Bbb N} with the following property: There exist atoms (irreducible elements) u 1, …, u k , v 1, …, v m H with u 1· … · u k = v 1 · … · v m . We show that for a large class of noetherian domains satisfying some natural finiteness conditions, the sets Vk (H){\cal V}_k (H) are almost arithmetical progressions. Suppose that H is a Krull monoid with finite cyclic class group G such that every class contains a prime (this includes the multiplicative monoids of rings of integers of algebraic number fields). We show that, for every k ? \Bbb Nk \in {\Bbb N}, max V2k+1 (H) = k |G|+ 1{\cal V}_{2k+1} (H) = k \vert G\vert + 1 which settles Problem 38 in [4].  相似文献

To any field \Bbb K \Bbb K of characteristic zero, we associate a set (\mathbbK) (\mathbb{K}) and a group G0(\Bbb K) {\cal G}_0(\Bbb K) . Elements of (\mathbbK) (\mathbb{K}) are equivalence classes of families of Lie polynomials subject to associativity relations. Elements of G0(\Bbb K) {\cal G}_0(\Bbb K) are universal automorphisms of the adjoint representations of Lie bialgebras over \Bbb K \Bbb K . We construct a bijection between (\mathbbKG0(\Bbb K) (\mathbb{K})\times{\cal G}_0(\Bbb K) and the set of quantization functors of Lie bialgebras over \Bbb K \Bbb K . This construction involves the following steps.? 1) To each element v \varpi of (\mathbbK) (\mathbb{K}) , we associate a functor \frak a?\operatornameShv(\frak a) \frak a\mapsto\operatorname{Sh}^\varpi(\frak a) from the category of Lie algebras to that of Hopf algebras; \operatornameShv(\frak a) \operatorname{Sh}^\varpi(\frak a) contains U\frak a U\frak a .? 2) When \frak a \frak a and \frak b \frak b are Lie algebras, and r\frak a\frak b ? \frak a?\frak b r_{\frak a\frak b} \in\frak a\otimes\frak b , we construct an element ?v (r\frak a\frak b) {\cal R}^{\varpi} (r_{\frak a\frak b}) of \operatornameShv(\frak a)?\operatornameShv(\frak b) \operatorname{Sh}^\varpi(\frak a)\otimes\operatorname{Sh}^\varpi(\frak b) satisfying quasitriangularity identities; in particular, ?v(r\frak a\frak b) {\cal R}^\varpi(r_{\frak a\frak b}) defines a Hopf algebra morphism from \operatornameShv(\frak a)* \operatorname{Sh}^\varpi(\frak a)^* to \operatornameShv(\frak b) \operatorname{Sh}^\varpi(\frak b) .? 3) When \frak a = \frak b \frak a = \frak b and r\frak a ? \frak a?\frak a r_\frak a\in\frak a\otimes\frak a is a solution of CYBE, we construct a series rv(r\frak a) \rho^\varpi(r_\frak a) such that ?v(rv(r\frak a)) {\cal R}^\varpi(\rho^\varpi(r_\frak a)) is a solution of QYBE. The expression of rv(r\frak a) \rho^\varpi(r_\frak a) in terms of r\frak a r_\frak a involves Lie polynomials, and we show that this expression is unique at a universal level. This step relies on vanishing statements for cohomologies arising from universal algebras for the solutions of CYBE.? 4) We define the quantization of a Lie bialgebra \frak g \frak g as the image of the morphism defined by ?v(rv(r)) {\cal R}^\varpi(\rho^\varpi(r)) , where r ? \mathfrakg ?\mathfrakg* r \in \mathfrak{g} \otimes \mathfrak{g}^* .<\P>  相似文献

Let Γ be a countable group and denote by S{\mathcal{S}} the equivalence relation induced by the Bernoulli action G\curvearrowright [0, 1]G{\Gamma\curvearrowright [0, 1]^{\Gamma}}, where [0, 1]Γ is endowed with the product Lebesgue measure. We prove that, for any subequivalence relation R{\mathcal{R}} of S{\mathcal{S}}, there exists a partition {X i } i≥0 of [0, 1]Γ into R{\mathcal{R}}-invariant measurable sets such that R|X0{\mathcal{R}_{\vert X_{0}}} is hyperfinite and R|Xi{\mathcal{R}_{\vert X_{i}}} is strongly ergodic (hence ergodic and non-hyperfinite), for every i ≥ 1.  相似文献

Recently, Girstmair and Schoissengeier studied the asymptotic behavior of the arithmetic mean of Dedekind sums \frac1j(N) ? 0 £ m < Ngcd(m,N)=1 |S(m,N)|\frac{1}{\varphi(N)} \sum_{\mathop{\mathop{ 0 \le m< N}}\limits_{\gcd(m,N)=1}} \vert S(m,N)\vert , as N → ∞. Consider a domain , and two analytic matrix-valued functions functions . Consider also points and positive integers n 1, n 2, . . . , n N . We are interested in the existence of an analytic function such that X(ω) is invertible, and G(ω) coincides with X(ω)F(ω)X(ω)−1 up to order n j at the point ω j . We will see that such a function exists provided that F j ),G j ) have cyclic vectors, and the characteristic polynomials of F,G coincide up to order n j at ω j . This allows one to give a short proof to a result of Huang, Marcantognini and Young concerning spectral interpolation in the unit disk. Let E be a row-finite directed graph, let G be a locally compact abelian group with dual group Ĝ = Γ, let ω be a labeling map from E* to Γ, and let (C*(E), G, α ω ) be the C*-dynamical system defined by ω. Some mappings concerning the AF-embedding construction of C*(E) ×aw GC*(E) \times _{\alpha ^\omega } G are studied in more detail. Several necessary conditions of AF-embedding and some properties of almost proper labeling map are obtained. Moreover it is proved that if E is constructed by attaching some 1-loops to a directed graph T consisting of some rooted directed trees and G is compact, then ω is almost proper, that is a sufficient condition for AF-embedding, if and only if Σ j=1 k wgj 1 1G\omega _{\gamma _j } \ne 1_\Gamma for any loop γ i , γ 2, ..., γ k attached to one path in T.  相似文献

Suppose F is a field different from F2, the field with two elements. Let Mn(F) and Sn(F) be the space of n × n full matrices and the space of n ×n symmetric matrices over F, respectively. For any G1, G2 ∈ {Sn(F), Mn(F)}, we say that a linear map f from G1 to G2 is inverse-preserving if f(X)^-1 = f(X^-1) for every invertible X ∈ G1. Let L (G1, G2) denote the set of all inverse-preserving linear maps from G1 to G2. In this paper the sets .L(Sn(F),Mn(F)), L(Sn(F),Sn(F)), L (Mn(F),Mn(F)) and L(Mn (F), Sn (F)) are characterized.  相似文献
