Weakly closed Jordan ideals in nest algebras on Banach spaces

We show that weakly closed Jordan ideals in nest algebras on Banach spaces are associative ideals. The decomposability of finite-rank operators in Jordan ideals and the commutants of bimodules are also investigated. Author’s address: J. Li and F. 代数A称为不可分解的,如果A不能分解成理想的直和.满足C(Lo)=C(L)={0}的Jordan李超代数L能够分解成不可分解理想的直和,这种分解在不计理想次序的前提下是唯一的.并证明了完备Jordan李超代数的一些性质.     

A note on ideals in synaptic algebras

The notion of a synaptic algebra was introduced by David Foulis. Synaptic algebras unite the notions of an order-unit normed space, a special Jordan algebra, a convex effect algebra and an orthomodular lattice. In this note we study quadratic ideals in synaptic algebras which reflect its Jordan algebra structure. We show that projections contained in a quadratic ideal from a p-ideal in the orthomodular lattice of projections in the synaptic algebra and we find a characterization of those quadratic ideals which are generated by their projections.     

Prime Algebras Connected With Monsters

We study the overalgebras and the ideals of the Jordan algebras possessing prime (?1, 1)-envelopings. If a Jordan algebra possesses a prime nonassociative (?1, 1)-enveloping then we prove that it is also prime; furthermore, its every ideal is a prime algebra. In particular, the overalgebras and metaideals of Jordan monsters are prime.     

Jordan Ideals Revisited

An alternative approach to the study of Jordan ideals in associative algebras is considered. The same method can be used when analogous questions in graded algebras are treated.     

On functional identities in left ideals of prime rings

In the present paper we describe surjective Lie and Jordan maps onto left ideals of prime noncommutative rings. Further, we describe bijective linear maps of left ideals of centrally closed prime algebras preserving commutativity.
