Let (A,D(A)) be the infinitesimal generator of a Feller semigroup such that C c (ℝ n )⊂D(A) and A|C c (ℝ n ) is a pseudo-differential operator with symbol −p(x,ξ) satisfying |p(•,ξ)|c(1+|ξ|2) and |Imp(x,ξ)|≤c 0Rep(x,ξ). We show that the associated Feller process {X t } t ≥0 on ℝ n is a semimartingale, even a homogeneous diffusion with jumps (in the sense of [21]), and characterize the limiting behaviour of its trajectories as t→0 and ∞. To this end, we introduce various indices, e.g., β x :={λ>0:lim |ξ|→∞ | x y |≤2/|ξ||p(y,ξ)|/|ξ|λ=0} or δ x :={λ>0:liminf |ξ|→∞ | x y |≤2/|ξ| |ε|≤1|p(y,|ξ|ε)|/|ξ|λ=0}, and obtain a.s. (ℙ x ) that lim t →0 t −1/λ s t |X s x|=0 or ∞ according to λ>β x or λ<δ x . Similar statements hold for the limit inferior and superior, and also for t→∞. Our results extend the constant-coefficient (i.e., Lévy) case considered by W. Pruitt [27]. Received: 21 July 1997 / Revised version: 26 January 1998  相似文献

Summary We consider a model of random walk on ℤν, ν≥2, in a dynamical random environment described by a field ξ={ξ t (x): (t,x)∈ℤν+1}. The random walk transition probabilities are taken as P(X t +1= y|X t = x t =η) =P 0( yx)+ c(yx;η(x)). We assume that the variables {ξ t (x):(t,x) ∈ℤν+1} are i.i.d., that both P 0(u) and c(u;s) are finite range in u, and that the random term c(u;·) is small and with zero average. We prove that the C.L.T. holds almost-surely, with the same parameters as for P 0, for all ν≥2. For ν≥3 there is a finite random (i.e., dependent on ξ) correction to the average of X t , and there is a corresponding random correction of order to the C.L.T.. For ν≥5 there is a finite random correction to the covariance matrix of X t and a corresponding correction of order to the C.L.T.. Proofs are based on some new L p estimates for a class of functionals of the field. Received: 4 January 1996/In revised form: 26 May 1997  相似文献

For a continuous, increasing function ω: R → R \{0} of finite exponential type, this paper introduces the set Z(A, ω) of all x in a Banach space X for which the second order abstract differential equation (2) has a mild solution such that [ω(t)]-1u(t,x) is uniformly continues on R , and show that Z(A, ω) is a maximal Banach subspace continuously embedded in X, where A ∈ B(X) is closed. Moreover, A|z(A,ω) generates an O(ω(t))strongly continuous cosine operator function family.  相似文献

Given aL 1(ℝ) and A the generator of an L 1-integrable family of bounded and linear operators defined on a Banach space X, we prove the existence of almost automorphic solution to the semilinear integral equation u(t)= −∞ t a(ts)[Au(s)+f(s,u(s))]ds for each f:ℝ×XX almost automorphic in t, uniformly in xX, and satisfying diverse Lipschitz type conditions. In the scalar case, we prove that aL 1(ℝ) positive, nonincreasing and log-convex is already sufficient.  相似文献

 We prove that the solution u of the equation u t =Δlog u, u>0, in (Ω\{x 0})×(0,T), Ω⊂ℝ2, has removable singularities at {x 0}×(0,T) if and only if for any 0<α<1, 0<a<b<T, there exist constants ρ0, C 1, C 2>0, such that C 1 |xx 0|αu(x,t)≤C 2|xx 0|−α holds for all 0<|xx 0|≤ρ0 and atb. As a consequence we obtain a sufficient condition for removable singularities at {∞}×(0,T) for solutions of the above equation in ℝ2×(0,T) and we prove the existence of infinitely many finite mass solutions for the equation in ℝ2×(0,T) when 0≤u 0L 1 (ℝ2) is radially symmetric and u 0L loc 1(ℝ2). Suppose that(T t )t>0 is aC 0 semi-group of contractions on a Banach spaceX, such that there exists a vectorxX, ‖x‖=1 verifyingJ −1(Jx)={x}, whereJ is the duality mapping fromX toP(X *). If |<T t x,f>|→1, whent→+∞ for somefX *, ‖f‖≤1 thenx is an eigenvector of the generatorA, associated with a purcly imaginary eigenvalue. Because of Lin's example [L], the hypothesis onxX is the best possible. If the hypothesisJ −1(Jx)={x} is not verified, we can prove that ifJx is a singleton and ifJ −1(Jx) is weakly compact, then if |<T t x, f>|→1, whent→+∞ for somefX *, ‖f‖≤1, there existsyJ −1(Jx) such thaty is an eigenvector of the generatorA, associated with a purely imaginary eigenvalue. We give also a counter-example in the case whereX is one of the spaces ℓ1 orL 1.  相似文献

Consider the Cauchy problem ∂u(x, t)/∂t = ℋu(x, t) (x∈ℤd, t≥ 0) with initial condition u(x, 0) ≡ 1 and with ℋ the Anderson Hamiltonian ℋ = κΔ + ξ. Here Δ is the discrete Laplacian, κ∈ (0, ∞) is a diffusion constant, and ξ = {ξ(x): x∈ℤ d } is an i.i.d.random field taking values in ℝ. G?rtner and Molchanov (1990) have shown that if the law of ξ(0) is nondegenerate, then the solution u is asymptotically intermittent. In the present paper we study the structure of the intermittent peaks for the special case where the law of ξ(0) is (in the vicinity of) the double exponential Prob(ξ(0) > s) = exp[−e s ] (s∈ℝ). Here θ∈ (0, ∞) is a parameter that can be thought of as measuring the degree of disorder in the ξ-field. Our main result is that, for fixed x, y∈ℤ d and t→∈, the correlation coefficient of u(x, t) and u(y, t) converges to ∥w ρ−2 ℓ2Σz ∈ℤd w ρ(x+z)w ρ(y+z). In this expression, ρ = θ/κ while w ρ:ℤd→ℝ+ is given by w ρ = (v ρ) d with v ρ: ℤ→ℝ+ the unique centered ground state (i.e., the solution in ℓ2(ℤ) with minimal l 2-norm) of the 1-dimensional nonlinear equation Δv + 2ρv log v = 0. The uniqueness of the ground state is actually proved only for large ρ, but is conjectured to hold for any ρ∈ (0, ∞). empty It turns out that if the right tail of the law of ξ(0) is thicker (or thinner) than the double exponential, then the correlation coefficient of u(x, t) and u(y, t) converges to δ x, y (resp.the constant function 1). Thus, the double exponential family is the critical class exhibiting a nondegenerate correlation structure. Received: 5 March 1997 / Revised version: 21 September 1998  相似文献

An Application of a Mountain Pass Theorem   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
We are concerned with the following Dirichlet problem: −Δu(x) = f(x, u), x∈Ω, uH 1 0(Ω), (P) where f(x, t) ∈C (×ℝ), f(x, t)/t is nondecreasing in t∈ℝ and tends to an L -function q(x) uniformly in x∈Ω as t→ + ∞ (i.e., f(x, t) is asymptotically linear in t at infinity). In this case, an Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz-type condition, that is, for some θ > 2, M > 0, 0 > θF(x, s) ≤f(x, s)s, for all |s|≥M and x∈Ω, (AR) is no longer true, where F(x, s) = ∫ s 0 f(x, t)dt. As is well known, (AR) is an important technical condition in applying Mountain Pass Theorem. In this paper, without assuming (AR) we prove, by using a variant version of Mountain Pass Theorem, that problem (P) has a positive solution under suitable conditions on f(x, t) and q(x). Our methods also work for the case where f(x, t) is superlinear in t at infinity, i.e., q(x) ≡ +∞. Received June 24, 1998, Accepted January 14, 2000.  相似文献

Let X(t) be an N parameter generalized Lévy sheet taking values in ℝd with a lower index α, ℜ = {(s, t] = ∏ i=1 N (s i, t i], s i < t i}, E(x, Q) = {tQ: X(t) = x}, Q ∈ ℜ be the level set of X at x and X(Q) = {x: ∃tQ such that X(t) = x} be the image of X on Q. In this paper, the problems of the existence and increment size of the local times for X(t) are studied. In addition, the Hausdorff dimension of E(x, Q) and the upper bound of a uniform dimension for X(Q) are also established.  相似文献

For aC 0-contraction semigroup (S(t)) t≥0 of bounded linear operators on a complex Banach spaceX, J. A. Goldstein and B. Nagy [6] have shown that, givenx∈X, S(t)x=e iλt x, t≥0, for some λ∈ℝ, provided lim t→∞ |<S(t)x,x * >|=|<x,x * >| for allx *∈X*. We present (a) an extension to the case of nonlinear nonexpansive mapsS(t), t≥0, and (b) various generalizations in the linear context.  相似文献

We say that n independent trajectories ξ1(t),…,ξ n (t) of a stochastic process ξ(t)on a metric space are asymptotically separated if, for some ɛ > 0, the distance between ξ i (t i ) and ξ j (t j ) is at least ɛ, for some indices i, j and for all large enough t 1,…,t n , with probability 1. We prove sufficient conitions for asymptotic separationin terms of the Green function and the transition function, for a wide class of Markov processes. In particular,if ξ is the diffusion on a Riemannian manifold generated by the Laplace operator Δ, and the heat kernel p(t, x, y) satisfies the inequality p(t, x, x) ≤ Ct −ν/2 then n trajectories of ξ are asymptotically separated provided . Moreover, if for some α∈(0, 2)then n trajectories of ξ(α) are asymptotically separated, where ξ(α) is the α-process generated by −(−Δ)α/2. Let Zjt, j = 1, . . . , d, be independent one-dimensional symmetric stable processes of index α ∈ (0,2). We consider the system of stochastic differential equations where the matrix A(x)=(Aij(x))1≤ i, jd is continuous and bounded in x and nondegenerate for each x. We prove existence and uniqueness of a weak solution to this system. The approach of this paper uses the martingale problem method. For this, we establish some estimates for pseudodifferential operators with singular state-dependent symbols. Let λ2 > λ1 > 0. We show that for any two vectors a, b∈ ℝd with |a|, |b| ∈ (λ1, λ2) and p sufficiently large, the Lp-norm of the operator whose Fourier multiplier is (|u · a|α - |u · b|α) / ∑j=1d |ui|α is bounded by a constant multiple of |ab|θ for some θ > 0, where u=(u1 , . . . , ud) ∈ ℝd. We deduce from this the Lp-boundedness of pseudodifferential operators with symbols of the form ψ(x,u)=|u · a(x)|α / ∑j=1d |ui|α, where u=(u1,...,ud) and a is a continuous function on ℝd with |a(x)|∈ (λ1, λ2) for all x∈ ℝd. Let f(x)=a d x d +a d−1 x d−1+⋅⋅⋅+a 0∈ℝ[x] be a reciprocal polynomial of degree d. We prove that if the coefficient vector (a d ,a d−1,…,a 0) or (a d−1,a d−2,…,a 1) is close enough, in the l 1-distance, to the constant vector (b,b,…,b)∈ℝ d+1 or ℝ d−1, then all of its zeros have moduli 1.  相似文献

Let K⊂ℝ d (d≥ 1) be a compact convex set and Λ a countable Abelian group. We study a stochastic process X in K Λ, equipped with the product topology, where each coordinate solves a SDE of the form dX i (t) = ∑ j a(ji) (X j (t) −X i (t))dt + σ (X i (t))dB i (t). Here a(·) is the kernel of a continuous-time random walk on Λ and σ is a continuous root of a diffusion matrix w on K. If X(t) converges in distribution to a limit X(∞) and the symmetrized random walk with kernel a S (i) = a(i) + a(−i) is recurrent, then each component X i (∞) is concentrated on {xK : σ(x) = 0 and the coordinates agree, i.e., the system clusters. Both these statements fail if a S is transient. Under the assumption that the class of harmonic functions of the diffusion matrix w is preserved under linear transformations of K, we show that the system clusters for all spatially ergodic initial conditions and we determine the limit distribution of the components. This distribution turns out to be universal in all recurrent kernels a S on Abelian groups Λ. Received: 10 May 1999 / Revised version: 18 April 2000 / Published online: 22 November 2000  相似文献

Jensen's celebrated Covering Lemma states that if 0# does not exist, then for any uncountable set of ordinals X, there is a YL such that XY and |X| = |Y|. Working in ZF + AD alone, we establish the following analog: If ℝ# does not exist, then L(ℝ) and V have exactly the same sets of reals and for any set of ordinals X with |X| ≥Θ L (ℝ), there is a YL(ℝ) such that XY and |X| = |Y|. Here ℝ is the set of reals and Θ is the supremum of the ordinals which are the surjective image of ℝ. Received: 29 October 1999 / Published online: 12 December 2001  相似文献
