For an effect algebra A, we examine the category of all morphisms from finite Boolean algebras into A. This category can be described as a category of elements of a presheaf R(A) on the category of finite Boolean algebras. We prove that some properties (being an orthoalgebra, the Riesz decomposition property, being a Boolean algebra) of an effect algebra A can be characterized in terms of some properties of the category of elements of the presheaf R(A). We prove that the tensor product of effect algebras arises as a left Kan extension of the free product of finite Boolean algebras along the inclusion functor. The tensor product of effect algebras can be expressed by means of the Day convolution of presheaves on finite Boolean algebras.  相似文献

Let R be a right coherent ring and D~b(R-Mod) the bounded derived category of left R-modules. Denote by D~b(R-Mod)_([G F,C]) the subcategory of D~b(R-Mod) consisting of all complexes with both finite Gorenstein flat dimension and cotorsion dimension and K~b(F ∩ C) the bounded homotopy category of flat cotorsion left R-modules. We prove that the quotient triangulated category D~b(R-Mod)_([G F,C])/K~b(F ∩ C) is triangle-equivalent to the stable category GF ∩ C of the Frobenius category of all Gorenstein flat and cotorsion left R-modules.  相似文献

We introduce the notions of differential graded (DG) Poisson algebra and DG Poisson module. Let A be any DG Poisson algebra. We construct the universal enveloping algebra of A explicitly, which is denoted by Aue. We show that Aue has a natural DG algebra structure and it satisfies certain universal property. As a consequence of the universal property, it is proved that the category of DG Poisson modules over A is isomorphic to the category of DG modules over Aue. Furthermore, we prove that the notion of universal enveloping algebra Aue is well-behaved under opposite algebra and tensor product of DG Poisson algebras. Practical examples of DG Poisson algebras are given throughout the paper including those arising from differential geometry and homological algebra.  相似文献

We clarify the relation between the subcategory D_(hf)~b(A) of homological finite objects in D~b(A)and the subcategory K~b(P) of perfect complexes in D~b(A), by giving two classes of abelian categories A with enough projective objects such that D_(hf)~b(A) = K~b(P), and finding an example such that D_(hf)~b(A)≠K~b(P). We realize the bounded derived category D~b(A) as a Verdier quotient of the relative derived category D_C~b(A), where C is an arbitrary resolving contravariantly finite subcategory of A. Using this relative derived categories, we get categorical resolutions of a class of bounded derived categories of module categories of infinite global dimension. We prove that if an Artin algebra A of infinite global dimension has a module T with inj.dimT ∞ such that ~⊥T is finite, then D~b(modA) admits a categorical resolution; and that for a CM(Cohen-Macaulay)-finite Gorenstein algebra, such a categorical resolution is weakly crepant.  相似文献

For a finite dimensional algebra A, we prove that the homotopy category of injective A-modules is generically trivial if and only if the derived category of all A-modules is generically trivial. Moreover we show some connections between the generic objects, locally finiteness and Krull-Gabriel dimension.  相似文献

Given a finite-dimensional associative commutative algebra A over a field F, we define the structure of a Lie algebra using a nonzero derivation D of A. If A is a field and charF > 3; then the corresponding algebra is simple, presenting a nonisomorphic analog of the Zassenhaus algebra W 1(m).  相似文献

For a finite quiver Q without sinks, we consider the corresponding finite dimensional algebra A with radical square zero. We construct an explicit compact generator for the homotopy category of acyclic complexes of injective A-modules. We call such a generator the injective Leavitt complex of Q. This terminology is justified by the following result: the differential graded endomorphism algebra of the injective Leavitt complex of Q is quasi-isomorphic to the Leavitt path algebra of Q. Here, the Leavitt path algebra is naturally \(\mathbb {Z}\)-graded and viewed as a differential graded algebra with trivial differential.  相似文献

Let C be a finite dimensional directed algebra over an algebraically closed field k and A=A(C) the dual extension of C. The characteristic modules of A are constructed explicitly for a class of directed algebras, which generalizes the results of Xi. Furthermore, it is shown that the characteristic modules of dual extensions of a certain class of directed algebras admit the left Groebner basis theory in the sense of E. L. Green.  相似文献

Let A be a monomial quasi-hereditary algebra with a pure strong exact Borel subalgebra B.It is proved that the category of induced good modules over B is contained in the category of good modules over A;that the characteristic module of A is an induced module of that of B via the exact functor-(?)_B A if and only if the induced A-module of an injective B-module remains injective as a B-module.Moreover,it is shown that an exact Borel subalgebra of a basic quasi-hereditary serial algebra is right serial and that the characteristic module of a basic quasi-hereditary serial algebra is exactly the induced module of that of its exact Borel subalgebra.  相似文献

We extend several classical results in the theory of invariants of finite groups to the case of action of a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra H on an algebra satisfying a polynomial identity. In particular, we prove that an H-module algebra A over an algebraically closed field k is integral over the subalgebra of invariants, if H is a semisimple and cosemisimple Hopf algebra. We show that for char k > 0, the algebra Z\({\left( A \right)^{{H_0}}}\) is integral over the subalgebra of central invariants Z(A)H, where Z(A) is the center of algebra A, H0 is the coradical of H. This result allowed us to prove that the algebra A is integral over the subalgebra Z(A)H in some special case. We also construct a counterexample to the integrality of the algebra \({A^{{H_0}}}\) over the subalgebra of invariants AH for a pointed Hopf algebra over a field of non-zero characteristic.  相似文献

We provide a comparative study of the Subspace Projected Approximate Matrix method, abbreviated SPAM, which is a fairly recent iterative method of computing a few eigenvalues of a Hermitian matrix A. It falls in the category of inner-outer iteration methods and aims to reduce the costs of matrix-vector products with A within its inner iteration. This is done by choosing an approximation A 0 of A, and then, based on both A and A 0, to define a sequence (A k ) k=0 n of matrices that increasingly better approximate A as the process progresses. Then the matrix A k is used in the kth inner iteration instead of A.In spite of its main idea being refreshingly new and interesting, SPAM has not yet been studied in detail by the numerical linear algebra community. We would like to change this by explaining the method, and to show that for certain special choices for A 0, SPAM turns out to be mathematically equivalent to known eigenvalue methods. More sophisticated approximations A 0 turn SPAM into a boosted version of Lanczos, whereas it can also be interpreted as an attempt to enhance a certain instance of the preconditioned Jacobi-Davidson method.Numerical experiments are performed that are specifically tailored to illustrate certain aspects of SPAM and its variations. For experiments that test the practical performance of SPAM in comparison with other methods, we refer to other sources. The main conclusion is that SPAM provides a natural transition between the Lanczos method and one-step preconditioned Jacobi-Davidson.  相似文献

Let A be a path A-algebra over a positively graded quiver Q: We prove that the derived category of A is triangulated equivalent to the derived category of kQ; which is viewed as a DG algebra with trivial differential. The main technique used in the proof is Koszul duality for DG algebras.  相似文献

A subset F ? V (G) is called an R k -vertex-cut of a graph G if G ? F is disconnected and each vertex of G ? F has at least k neighbors in G ? F. The R k -vertex-connectivity of G, denoted by κ k (G), is the cardinality of a minimum R k -vertex-cut of G. Let B n be the bubble sort graph of dimension n. It is known that κ k (B n ) = 2 k (n ? k ? 1) for n ≥ 2k and k = 1, 2. In this paper, we prove it for k = 3 and conjecture that it is true for all kN. We also prove that the connectivity cannot be more than conjectured.  相似文献

For any module V over the two-dimensional non-abelian Lie algebra b and scalar α ∈ C, we define a class of weight modules F α (V) with zero central charge over the affine Lie algebra A 1 (1) . These weight modules have infinitedimensional weight spaces if and only if V is infinite dimensional. In this paper, we will determine necessary and sufficient conditions for these modules F α(V) to be irreducible. In this way, we obtain a lot of irreducible weight A 1 (1) -modules with infinite-dimensional weight spaces.  相似文献

Let M be a von Neumann algebra equipped with a normal finite faithful normalized trace τ, and let A be a tracial subalgebra of M. Let E be a symmetric quasi-Banach space on [0, 1]. We show that A has an LE(M)-factorization if and only if A is a subdiagonal algebra.  相似文献

We study possible values of the global dimension of endomorphism algebras of 2-term silting complexes. We show that for any algebra A whose global dimension gl.dim A ≤ 2 and any 2-term silting complex P in the bounded derived category D b (A) of A, the global dimension of \(\text {End}_{{D^b(A)}}(\mathbf {P})\) is at most 7. We also show that for each n > 2, there is an algebra A with gl.dim A = n such that D b (A) admits a 2-term silting complex P with \(\mathrm {gl. dim~}\text {End}_{{D^b(A)}}(\mathbf {P})\) infinite.  相似文献

For a normed algebra A and natural numbers k we introduce and investigate the ∥ · ∥ closed classes P k (A). We show that P1(A) is a subset of P k (A) for all k. If T in P1(A), then Tn lies in P1(A) for all natural n. If A is unital, U, V ∈ A are such that ∥U∥ = ∥V∥ = 1, VU = I and T lies in P k (A), then UTV lies in P k (A) for all natural k. Let A be unital, then 1) if an element T in P1(A) is right invertible, then any right inverse element T?1 lies in P1(A); 2) for ßßIßß = 1 the class P1(A) consists of normaloid elements; 3) if the spectrum of an element T, T ∈ P1(A) lies on the unit circle, then ∥TX∥ = ∥X∥ for all XA. If A = B(H), then the class P1(A) coincides with the set of all paranormal operators on a Hilbert space H.  相似文献

We shall first present an explicit realization of the simple N = 4 superconformal vertex algebra L c N?=?4 with central charge c = ?9. This vertex superalgebra is realized inside of the bcβγ system and contains a subalgebra isomorphic to the simple affine vertex algebra L A1 \( \left(-\frac{3}{2}{\varLambda}_0\right) \). Then we construct a functor from the category of L c N?=?4 -modules with c = ?9 to the category of modules for the admissible affine vertex algebra L A1 \( \left(-\frac{3}{2}{\varLambda}_0\right) \). By using this construction we construct a family of weight and logarithmic modules for L c N?=?4 and L A1 \( \left(-\frac{3}{2}{\varLambda}_0\right) \). We also show that a coset subalgebra L A1 \( \left(-\frac{3}{2}{\varLambda}_0\right) \) is a logarithmic extension of the W(2; 3)-algebra with c = ?10. We discuss some generalizations of our construction based on the extension of affine vertex algebra L A1 ( 0) such that k + 2 = 1/p and p is a positive integer.  相似文献

The nonsoluble length λ(G) of a finite group G is defined as the minimum number of nonsoluble factors in a normal series of G each of whose quotients either is soluble or is a direct product of nonabelian simple groups. The generalized Fitting height of a finite group G is the least number h = h* (G) such that F* h (G) = G, where F* 1 (G) = F* (G) is the generalized Fitting subgroup, and F* i+1(G) is the inverse image of F* (G/F*i (G)). In the present paper we prove that if λ(J) ≤ k for every 2-generator subgroup J of G, then λ(G) ≤ k. It is conjectured that if h* (J) ≤ k for every 2-generator subgroup J, then h* (G) ≤ k. We prove that if h* (〈x, xg 〉) ≤ k for allx, gG such that 〈x, xg 〉 is soluble, then h* (G) is k-bounded.  相似文献

The main result of the paper is the following theorem. Let q be a prime, n a positive integer, and A an elementary abelian group of order q2. Suppose that A acts coprimely on a finite group G and assume that for each \({a \in A^{\#}}\) every element of CG(a) is n-Engel in G. Then the group G is k-Engel for some \({\{n,q\}}\)-bounded number k.  相似文献
