The approach of nonconforming finite element method admits users to solve the partial differential equations with lower complexity,but the accuracy is usually low.In this paper,we present a family of highaccuracy nonconforming finite element methods for fourth order problems in arbitrary dimensions.The finite element methods are given in a unified way with respect to the dimension.This is an effort to reveal the balance between the accuracy and the complexity of finite element methods.  相似文献

In this article, on the basis of two-level discretizations and multiscale finite element method, two kinds of finite element algorithms for steady Navier-Stokes problem are presented and discussed. The main technique is first to use a standard finite element discretization on a coarse mesh to approximate low frequencies, then to apply the simple and Newton scheme to linearize discretizations on a fine grid. At this process, multiscale finite element method as a stabilized method deals with the lowest equal-order finite element pairs not satisfying the inf-sup condition. Under the uniqueness condition, error analyses for both algorithms are given. Numerical results are reported to demonstrate the effectiveness of the simple and Newton scheme.  相似文献

In this paper, superconvergence of the lowest order Raviart-Thomas mixed finite element approximation for second order Neumann boundary value problem on fishbone shape meshes is analyzed. The main term of the error between the exact solution and the finite element interpolating function is determined by Bramble-Hilbert lemma on the individual finite element. A part of the main term of the error on two adjacent finite elements can be cancelled along the special direction, and thus the higher order error estimate is obtained on the whole domain by summation. Compared with the general finite element error estimate,the convergence rate can be increased from order one to order two in L2-norm by postprocessing superconvergence technique.  相似文献

A new type of finite element scheme including the numerical integration modi-fication is presented for the second type variational inequality. Our methods really simplify the finite element analysis and practical calculation. In this paper,we study the semi-discrete mortar upwind finite volume element method with the Crouzeix-Raviart element for the parabolic convection diffusion problems. The aim of this paper is to investigate the finite element methods for pricing the American put option on bonds. Based on a new variational inequality equation for the option pricing problems, both semidiscrete and fully discretized finite element approximation schemes are established. It is proved that the finite element methods are stable and convergent under L2 and H^1 norms.  相似文献

In this paper, we estimate the constants in the inverse inequalities for the finite ele- ment functions. Furthermore, we obtain the least upper bounds of the constants in inverse inequalities for the low-order finite element functions. 本文提出了求解Poisson方程的一种新的双二次元有限体积法.新方法与通常的双二次元有限体积法作对偶剖分的方式不同,其主要特点是取应力佳点(Gauss点)作为对偶单元的节点,试探函数空间取双二次有限元空间,检验函数空间取相应于对偶剖分的分片常数函数空间.证明了新方法具有最优的H~1模和L~2模误差估计,讨论了在应力佳点数值梯度的超收敛性估计,并通过数值实验验证了理论分析的结果.  相似文献

The a posteriori error analysis of conforming finite element discretisations of the biharmonic problem for plates is well established, but nonconforming discretisations are more easy to implement in practice. The a posteriori error analysis for the Morley plate element appears very particular because two edge contributions from an integration by parts vanish simultaneously. This crucial property is lacking for popular rectangular nonconforming finite element schemes like the nonconforming rectangular Morley finite element, the incomplete biquadratic finite element, and the Adini finite element. This paper introduces a novel methodology and utilises some conforming discrete space on macro elements to prove reliability and efficiency of an explicit residual-based a posteriori error estimator. An application to the Morley triangular finite element shows the surprising result that all averaging techniques yield reliable error bounds. Numerical experiments confirm the reliability and efficiency for the established a posteriori error control on uniform and graded tensor-product meshes.  相似文献

In this paper, a kind of biquadratic finite volume element method is presented for two-dimensional Poisson’s equations by restricting the optimal stress points of biquadratic interpolation as the vertices of control volumes. The method can be effectively implemented by alternating direction technique. It is proved that the method has optimal energy norm error estimates. The superconvergence of numerical gradients at optimal stress points is discussed and it is proved that the method has also superconvergence displacement at nodal points by a modified dual argument technique. Finally, a numerical example verifies the theoretical results and illustrates the effectiveness of the method.  相似文献

We use the biquadratic elements to develop an alternating direction implicit (ADI) finite volume element method for second order hyperbolic problems in two spatial dimensions. In this paper, the semi-discrete and full discrete biquadratic finite volume element schemes based on optimal stress points for a class of parabolic problems are presented. Optimal order error estimates in H1 and L2 norms are derived. In addition, the superconvergences of numerical gradients at optimal stress points are also discussed. Ciarlet‐Raviart's scheme is a finite element method for solving the mixed formulation of the biharmonic equation. So far, there has been no superconvergence for the vorticity from this method if a general rectangular mesh is used.
