This paper deals with blow-up solutions in parabolic equations coupled via nonlocal nonlinearities, subject to homogeneous Dirichlet conditions. Firstly, some criteria on non-simultaneous and simultaneous blow-up are given, including four kinds of phenomena: (i) the existence of non-simultaneous blow-up; (ii) the coexistence of non-simultaneous and simultaneous blow-up; (iii) any blow-up must be simultaneous; (iv) any blow-up must be non-simultaneous. Next, total versus single point blow-up are classified completely. Moreover, blow-up rates are obtained for both non-simultaneous and simultaneous blow-up solutions.  相似文献

This paper deals with the global existence and blow-up of solutions to some nonlinear hyperbolic systems with damping and source terms in a bounded domain. By using the potential well method, we obtain the global existence. Moreover, for the problem with linear damping terms, blow-up of solutions is considered and some estimates for the lifespan of solutions are given.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow-up of positive solutions for a nonlinear parabolic equation subject to nonlinear boundary conditions. We obtain the conditions under which the solutions may exist globally or blow up in a finite time, by a new approach. Moreover, upper estimates of the “blow-up time”, blow-up rate and global solutions are obtained also.  相似文献

This paper studies the Cauchy problem for the coupled system of nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations with damping terms. We first state the existence of standing wave with ground state, based on which we prove a sharp criteria for global existence and blow-up of solutions when E(0)<d. We then introduce a family of potential wells and discuss the invariant sets and vacuum isolating behavior of solutions for 0<E(0)<d and E(0)≤0, respectively. Furthermore, we prove the global existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions for the case of potential well family with 0<E(0)<d. Finally, a blow-up result for solutions with arbitrarily positive initial energy is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the global solutions and blow-up solutions for a nonlinear string with boundary input and output, and prove that under some conditions, the system has global solutions and blow-up solutions, respectively.  相似文献

We study the large time behavior of solutions of a one-dimensional hyperbolic relaxation system that may be written as a nonlinear damped wave equation. First, we prove the global existence of a unique solution and their decay properties for sufficiently small initial data. We also show that for some large initial data, solutions blow-up in finite time. For quadratic nonlinearities, we prove that the large time behavior of solutions is given by the fundamental solution of the viscous Burgers equation. In some other cases, the convection term is too weak and the large time behavior is given by the linear heat kernel.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem for second-order nonlinear ordinary differential inequalities with a nonlinear memory term. We obtain blow-up results under some conditions on the initial data. We also give an application to a semilinear hyperbolic equation in a bounded domain.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow-up of positive solutions for a nonlinear parabolic equation subject to mixed boundary condition. We obtain the conditions under which the solutions may exist globally or blow up in a finite time by a new approach. Moreover, upper estimates of “blow-up time”, blow-up rate and global solutions are obtained also. The results improve and extend importantly the findings obtained by A. Friedman and R. Sperb.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow-up of positive solutions for a nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation subject to nonlinear boundary conditions. We obtain the conditions under which the solutions may exist globally or blow up in finite time. Moreover, an upper bound of the blow-up time, an upper estimate of the blow-up rate, and an upper estimate of the global solutions are given. At last we give two examples to which the theorems obtained in the paper may be applied.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This paper deals with blow-up and quenching solutions of degenerate parabolic problem involving m-Laplacian operator and nonlinear boundary flux. The blow-up and quenching criteria are classified under the conditions on the initial data but with less conditions on the relationship among the exponents, respectively. Moreover, asymptotic properties including singular rates, set and time estimates are determined for the blow-up solutions and the quenching solutions, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper we study a class of nonlinearities for which a nonlocal parabolic equation with Neumann-Robin boundary conditions, for p-Laplacian, has finite time blow-up solutions.  相似文献

We study numerical approximations to solutions of a system of two nonlinear diffusion equations in a bounded interval, coupled at the boundary in a nonlinear way. In certain cases the system develops a blow-up singularity in finite time. Fixed mesh methods are not well suited to approximate the problem near the singularity. As an alternative to reproduce the behaviour of the continuous solution, we present an adaptive in space procedure. The scheme recovers the conditions for blow-up and non-simultaneous blow-up. It also gives the correct non-simultaneous blow-up rate and set. Moreover, the numerical simultaneous blow-up rates coincide with the continuous ones in the cases when the latter are known. Finally, we present numerical experiments that illustrate the behaviour of the adaptive method.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the initial-boundary problem of a degenerate parabolic system with nonlinear localized sources. We classify the blow-up solutions into global blow-up cases and single-point blow-up cases according to the values of m,n,pi,qi. Furthermore, we obtain the uniform blow-up profiles of solutions for the global blow-up case. Finally, we give some numerical examples to verify the results. These extend and generalize a recent work of one of the authors [L. Du, Blow-up for a degenerate reaction-diffusion systems with nonlinear localized sources, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 324 (2006) 304-320], which only considered uniform blow-up profiles under the special case p1=p2=0.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the initial-boundary value problem for a system of nonlinear wave equations, involving nonlinear damping terms, in a bounded domain Ω. The nonexistence of global solutions is discussed under some conditions on the given parameters. Estimates on the lifespan of solutions are also given. Our results extend and generalize the recent results in [K. Agre, M.A. Rammaha, System of nonlinear wave equations with damping and source terms, Differential Integral Equations 19 (2006) 1235-1270], especially, the blow-up of weak solutions in the case of non-negative energy.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow-up behavior of radial solutions to a parabolic system multi-coupled via inner sources and boundary flux. We first obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of non-simultaneous blow-up, and then find five regions of exponent parameters where both non-simultaneous and simultaneous blow-up may happen. In particular, nine simultaneous blow-up rates are established for different regions of parameters. It is interesting to observe that different initial data may lead to different simultaneous blow-up rates even with the same exponent parameters.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider initial boundary value problem of the generalized Boussinesq equation with nonlinear interior source and boundary absorptive terms. We establish firstly the local existence of solutions by standard Galerkin method. Then we prove both the global existence of the solution and a general decay of the energy functions under some restrictions on the initial data. We also prove a blow-up result for solutions with positive and negative initial energy respectively.  相似文献

We use the nonlinear capacity method to prove the blow-up of solutions of initial-boundary value problems of hydrodynamic type in bounded domains. We present sufficient boundary conditions ensuring the blow-up of the solution of an equation that is globally solvable under the classical boundary conditions. We estimate the blow-up time of solutions under given initial conditions. Note that it is the first result concerning blow-up for one of the problems considered.  相似文献
