In this paper, we consider a class of nonlinear optimal control problems (Bolza-problems) with constraints of the control vector, initial and boundary conditions of the state vectors. The time interval is fixed. Our approach to parametrize both the state functions and the control functions is described by general piecewise polynomials with unknown coefficients (parameters), where a fixed partition of the time interval is used. Here each of these functions in a suitable way individually will be approximated by such polynomials. The optimal control problem thus is reduced to a mathematical programming problem for these parameters. The existence of an optimal solution is assumed. Convergence properties of this method are not considered in this paper.  相似文献

In the paper, we consider nonlinear optimal control problems with the Bolza functional and with fixed terminal time. We suggest a construction of optimal grid synthesis. For each initial state of the control system, we obtain an estimate for the difference between the optimal result and the value of the functional on the trajectory generated by the suggested grid positional control. The considered feedback control constructions and the estimates of their efficiency are based on a backward dynamic programming procedure. We also use necessary and sufficient optimality conditions in terms of characteristics of the Bellman equation and the sub-differential of the minimax viscosity solution of this equation in the Cauchy problem specified for the fixed terminal time. The results are illustrated by the numerical solution of a nonlinear optimal control problem.  相似文献

In the present paper the fixed charge transportation problem under uncertainty, particularly when parameters are given in interval forms, is formulated. In this case it is assumed that both cost and constraint parameters are arrived in interval numbers. Considering two different order relations for interval numbers, two solution procedures are developed in order to obtain an optimal solution for interval fixed charge transportation problem (IFCTP). In addition, the two order relations are compared to give a better comprehension of their differences. Furthermore, numerical examples are provided to illustrate each of solution procedures.  相似文献

This paper considers fractional optimal control of a semilinear system with fixed delay in a reflexive Banach space. The existence and uniqueness of mild solution are obtained using the Weissinger’s fixed point theorem. The existence of optimal control for the system governed by fractional-order semilinear equation with fixed delay in state is presented. In this paper, we investigate an optimal control problem for an age-dependent predator-prey hybrid system in a polluted environment. Namely, we establish a new toxicant-population model with age-dependence in an environment with small toxicant capacity. By using a fixed point theorem, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of nonnegative solution of the toxicant-population model with age-dependence. We employ tangent-normal cone techniques in nonlinear functional analysis to deduct the optimality conditions for the control problem. The existence of optimal control policy is carefully verified by means of Ekeland’s variational principle.  相似文献

This paper considers the bilinear minimax control problem of an important class of parabolic systems with Robin boundary conditions. Such systems are linear on state variables when the control and disturbance are fixed, and linear on the control or disturbance when the state variables are fixed. The objective is to maintain target state variables by taking account the influence of noises in data, while a desired power level and adjustment costs are taken into consideration. Firstly we introduce some classes of bilinear systems and obtain the existence and the uniqueness of the solution, as well as stability under mild assumptions. Afterwards the minimax control problem is formulated. We show the existence of an optimal solution, and we also find necessary optimality conditions. Finally, to illustrate the abstract results, we present two examples of neutron fission systems.  相似文献

In optimal control problems frequently pointwise control constraints appear. We consider a finite string that is fixed at one end and controlled via Dirichlet conditions at the other end with a given upper bound M for the L -norm of the control. The problem is to control the string to the zero state in a given finite time. If M is too small, no feasible control exists. If M is large enough, the optimal control problem to find an admissible control with minimal L 2-norm has a solution that we present in this paper.  相似文献

In a recent paper, Hwang and Hahn considered inventory replenishment problems for an item with an inventory-level-dependent demand rate and a fixed lifetime. They developed an EQQ model under the situation of considering the first-in–first-out (FIFO) issuing policy. First, this paper reconsiders Hwang and Hann's problem by employing the last-in–first-out (LIFO) issuing policy, which is more practical in the retail industry. An inventory model is developed. Secondly, the concavity of the objective function is proved. Thirdly, this paper presents conditions where the present model has a unique optimal solution and a method for finding the global optimal solution. A simple solution procedure and sensitivity analyses of parameters are also provided.  相似文献

In this paper, we study an inverse optimal problem in discrete-time stochastic control. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for a solution to a system of stochastic difference equations to be the solution of a certain optimal control problem. Our results extend to the stochastic case the work of Dechert. In particular, we present a stochastic version of an important principle in welfare economics.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze the dynamics of a multi-species fisheries system in the presence of harvesting. We solve the problem of finding the optimal harvesting strategy for a mid-term horizon with a fixed final stock of each species, while maximizing the expected present value of total revenues. The problem is formulated as an optimal control problem. For its solution, we combine techniques derived from Pontryagin’s Maximum Principle, cyclic coordinate descent and the shooting method. The algorithm we develop can solve problems both with inter-species competition and with predator–prey behaviors. Several numerical examples are presented to illustrate the different possibilities of the method and a study of the dependence of the behavior on some parameters is performed.  相似文献

In this paper we study an optimal portfolio selection problem under instantaneous price impact. Based on some empirical analysis in the literature, we model such impact as a concave function of the trading size when the trading size is small. The price impact can be thought of as either a liquidity cost or a transaction cost, but the concavity nature of the cost leads to some fundamental difference from those in the existing literature. We show that the problem can be reduced to an impulse control problem, but without fixed cost, and that the value function is a viscosity solution to a special type of Quasi-Variational Inequality (QVI). We also prove directly (without using the solution to the QVI) that the optimal strategy exists and more importantly, despite the absence of a fixed cost, it is still in a “piecewise constant” form, reflecting a more practical perspective.  相似文献

In this paper we study an optimal control problem, where states of a control system are described by impulsive differential equations with nonlocal boundary conditions. With the help of the contraction principle we prove the existence and uniqueness of a solution to the corresponding boundary value problem with fixed admissible controls. We calculate the first and second variation of the functional. Using the variation of controls, we establish various necessary optimality conditions of the second order.  相似文献

In this paper we present theoretical, computational, and practical aspects concerning 3-dimensional shape optimization governed by linear magnetostatics. The state solution is approximated by the finite element method using Nédélec elements on tetrahedra. Concerning optimization, the shape controls the interface between the air and the ferromagnetic parts while the whole domain is fixed. We prove the existence of an optimal shape. Then we state a finite element approximation to the optimization problem and prove the convergence of the approximated solutions. In the end, we solve the problem for the optimal shape of an electromagnet that arises in the research on magnetooptic effects and that was manufactured afterwards.  相似文献

We study the optimal loan securitization policy of a commercial bank which is mainly engaged in lending activities. For this we propose a stylized dynamic model which contains the main features affecting the securitization decision. In line with reality we assume that there are non-negligible fixed and variable transaction costs associated with each securitization. The fixed transaction costs lead to a formulation of the optimization problem in an impulse control framework. We prove viscosity solution existence and uniqueness for the quasi-variational inequality associated with this impulse control problem. Iterated optimal stopping is used to find a numerical solution of this PDE, and numerical examples are discussed.  相似文献

We present a technique for computing optimal control trajectories by exploiting the inherent structure of the dynamics arising from symmetries and invariant (un)stable manifolds of fixed points. Our approach is based on sequencing motions along relative equilibria and invariant manifolds joined by simple optimized maneuvers. Our main goal is to compute an approximate globally optimal solution which can serve as a good initial guess for iterative nonlinear control optimization.
