BIFURCATIONS OF TRAVELLING WAVE SOLUTIONS TO A COUPLED NONLINEAR WAVE SYSTEM

Employ theory of bifurcations of dynamical systems to a system of coupled nonlin-ear equations, the existence of solitary wave solutions, kink wave solutions, anti-kink wave solutions and periodic wave solutions is obtained. Under different parametric conditions, various suffcient conditions to guarantee the existence of the above so-lutions are given. Some exact explicit parametric representations of travelling wave solutions are derived.     

PERIODIC SOLUTIONS TO A KIND OF RAYLEIGH EQUATION WITH A DEVIATING ARGUMENT AND IMPULSES

By employing the coincidence degree theory of Mawhin, we study the existence of periodic solutions to a kind of Rayleigh equation with a deviating argument and impulses. Some new results on the existence of periodic solutions to the equation are obtained.     

POSITIVE PERIODIC SOLUTIONS OF NONLINEAR FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENCE EQUATION

Using the Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem, the existence of positive periodic solutions to a class of nonlinear functional difference equations is studied in this paper. Some sufficient conditions for the existence of positive periodic solutions are presented.     

SOLVABILITY OF A THREE-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM WITH NONLINEAR GROWTH

In this paper, we study the existence of solutions to a three-point boundary value problem with nonlinear growth. Sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to the system in the resonance and non-resonance cases are established by employing Leray-Schauder continuation theorem and the coincidence degree theory.

In this paper, the generalized Dodd-Bullough-Mikhailov equation is studied. The existence of periodic wave and unbounded wave solutions is proved by using the method of bifurcation theory of dynamical systems. Under different parametric conditions, various sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of the above solutions are given.Some exact explicit parametric representations of the above travelling solutions are obtained.     

POSITIVE RADIAL SOLUTIONS OF FULLY NONLINEAR ELLIPTIC EQUATIONS IN R^n

By the Schauder-Tychonoff fixed-point theorem, we investigate the existence and asymptotic behavior of positive radial solutions of fully nonlinear elliptic equations in R^n. We give some sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of bounded and unbounded radial solutions and consider the nonexistence of positive solution in R^n.     

CONVERGENT AND DIVERGENT SOLUTIONS OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL NONLINEAR DIFFERENCE SYSTEM

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of convergent or divergent solutions of two-dimensional nonlinear difference system of the form (?)xn+1=anxn+bnf(yn), yn=cnyn-1+dng(xn). We classify their solutions according to asymptotic behavior and give some sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of solutions of such classes by using the method of the fixed point theorem. We also give an example and show how the results can he applied to certain difference systems.     

EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO A CLASS OF SEMILINEAR ELLIPTIC SYSTEMS

In this paper an existence and uniqueness theorem of positive solutions to a class of semilinear elliptic systems is proved. Also, a necessary condition for the existence of the positive solution is obtained. As the application of the main theorem, two examples are given.     

RIEMANN-HILBERT PROBLEMS OF DEGENERATE HYPERBOLIC SYSTEM

This paper is concerned with the Riemann-Hilbert problems of degenerate hyperbolic system in two general domains, where the boundary curves are given by the parameter equations of the arc length s. We prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the Riemann-Hilbert problems by conformal deformations. The corre-sponding representations of solutions to the problems are also presented.     

EXISTENCE OF GENERALIZED SOLUTIONS TO A HYPERBOLIC MODEL OF COMBUSTION

In this paper we obtain the existence of the generalized solutions to the Cauchy problem for a model of combustion provided that the function f is of nonconvexity and initial values lie in the bounded, measurable class.
