We prove that Fredholm composition operators acting on the uniform algebra H(BE) of bounded analytic functions on the open unit ball of a complex Banach space E with the approximation property are invertible and arise from analytic automorphisms of the ball.  相似文献

Let G be a compact subgroup of GLn(R) acting linearly on a finite dimensional complex vector space E. B. Malgrange has shown that the space CG(Rn,E) of C and G-covariant functions is a finite module over the ring CG(Rn) of C and G-invariant functions. First, we generalize this result for the Schwartz space SG(Rn,E) of G-covariant functions. Secondly, we prove that any G-covariant distribution can be decomposed into a sum of G-invariant distributions multiplied with a fixed family of G-covariant polynomials. This gives a generalization of an Oksak result proved in [4].  相似文献

We define an extended Cesàro operator Tg with holomorphic symbol g in the unit ball B of Cn. For a large class of weights w we characterize those g for which Tg is bounded (or compact) from Bergman space Lpa,w(B) to Lqa,w(B), 0<p,q<∞. In addition, we obtain some results about equivalent norms, the norm of point evaluation functionals, and the interpolation sequences on Lpa,w(B).  相似文献

Those open sets U of S2 for which A(U) is pointwise boundedly dense in H(U) are characterized in terms of analytic capacity. In this work we study the narrow relation between reversibility and the center problem and also between reversibility and the integrability problem. It is well known that an analytic system having either a non-degenerate or nilpotent center at the origin is analytically reversible or orbitally analytically reversible, respectively. In this paper we prove the existence of a smooth map that transforms an analytic system having a degenerate center at the origin with either an analytic first integral or a C inverse integrating factor into a reversible linear system (after rescaling the time). Moreover, if the degenerate center has an analytic or a C reversing symmetry, then the transformed system by the map also has a reversing symmetry. From the knowledge of a first integral near the center we give a procedure to detect reversing symmetries.  相似文献

We give a characterization of invariant subspaces of finite codimension in Banach spaces of vector-valued analytic functions in several variables, where invariant refers to invariance under multiplication by any polynomial. We obtain very weak conditions under which our characterization applies, that unifies and improves a number of previous results. In the vector-valued case, the results are new even for one complex variable. As a concrete application in several variables, we consider the Bergman space on a strictly pseudo-convex domain, and we improve previous results (assuming C-boundary) to the case of C2-boundary.  相似文献

Let K be a complete ultrametric algebraically closed field. We investigate several properties of sequences (an)nN in a disk d(0,R) with regards to bounded analytic functions in that disk: sequences of uniqueness (when f(an)=0∀nN implies f=0), identity sequences (when limn→+∞f(an)=0 implies f=0) and analytic boundaries (when lim supn→∞|f(an)|=‖f‖). Particularly, we show that identity sequences and analytic boundary sequences are two equivalent properties. For certain sequences, sequences of uniqueness and identity sequences are two equivalent properties. A connection with Blaschke sequences is made. Most of the properties shown on analytic functions have continuation to meromorphic functions.  相似文献

Let Ω be an open domain of class C2 contained in R3, let L2(Ω)3 be the Hilbert space of square integrable functions on Ω and let H[Ω]?H be the completion of the set, , with respect to the inner product of L2(Ω)3. A well-known unsolved problem is that of the construction of a sufficient class of functions in H which will allow global, in time, strong solutions to the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. These equations describe the time evolution of the fluid velocity and pressure of an incompressible viscous homogeneous Newtonian fluid in terms of a given initial velocity and given external body forces. In this paper, we use the analytic nature of the Stokes semigroup to construct an equivalent norm for H, which provides strong bounds on the nonlinear term. This allows us to prove that, under appropriate conditions, there exists a number u+, depending only on the domain, the viscosity, the body forces and the eigenvalues of the Stokes operator, such that, for all functions in a dense set D contained in the closed ball B(Ω)?B of radius in H, the Navier-Stokes equations have unique, strong, solutions in C1((0,),H).  相似文献

In this paper we generalize the notion of essential codimension of Brown, Douglas, and Fillmore using KK-theory and prove a result which asserts that there is a unitary of the form ‘identity + compact’ which gives the unitary equivalence of two projections if the ‘essential codimension’ of two projections vanishes for certain C-algebras employing the proper asymptotic unitary equivalence of KK-theory found by M. Dadarlat and S. Eilers. We also apply our result to study the projections in the corona algebra of C(X)⊗B where X is [0,1], (−∞,∞), [0,∞), and [0,1]/{0,1}.  相似文献

We study the optimal order of approximation forC k piecewise analytic functions (cf. Definition 1.2) by Lagrange interpolation associated with the Chebyshev extremal points. It is proved that the Jackson order of approximation is attained, and moreover, ifx is away from the singular points, the local order of approximation atx can be improved byO(n ?1). Such improvement of the local order of approximation is also shown to be sharp. These results extend earlier results of Mastroianni and Szabados on the order of approximation for continuous piecewise polynomial functions (splines) by the Lagrange interpolation, and thus solve a problem of theirs (about the order of approximation for |x|3) in a much more general form.  相似文献

In this paper we present nonintegral criteria for oscillation of linear Hamiltonian matrix system U=A(x)U+B(x)V, V=C(x)UA*(x)V under the hypothesis (H): A(x), B(x)=B*(x)>0, and C(x)=C*(x) are 2×2 matrices of real valued continuous functions on the interval I=[a,∞),(−∞<a). These criteria are conditions of algebraic type only. Our results are also useful for the detection of the oscillation of particular matrix differential systems.  相似文献

We consider the incompressible Euler equations in a (possibly multiply connected) bounded domain Ω of R2, for flows with bounded vorticity, for which Yudovich (1963) proved in [29] global existence and uniqueness of the solution. We prove that if the boundary ∂Ω of the domain is C (respectively Gevrey of order M?1) then the trajectories of the fluid particles are C (respectively Gevrey of order M+2). Our results also cover the case of “slightly unbounded” vorticities for which Yudovich (1995) extended his analysis in [30]. Moreover if in addition the initial vorticity is Hölder continuous on a part of Ω then this Hölder regularity propagates smoothly along the flow lines. Finally we observe that if the vorticity is constant in a neighborhood of the boundary, the smoothness of the boundary is not necessary for these results to hold.  相似文献

It is well known that the biharmonic equation Δ2u=u|u|p−1 with p∈(1,∞) has positive solutions on Rn if and only if the growth of the nonlinearity is critical or supercritical. We close a gap in the existing literature by proving the existence and uniqueness, up to scaling and symmetry, of oscillatory radial solutions on Rn in the subcritical case. Analyzing the nodal properties of these solutions, we also obtain precise information about sign-changing large radial solutions and radial solutions of the Dirichlet problem on a ball.  相似文献
