Stability and Hopf bifurcation analysis of a predator-prey model with time delayed incomplete trophic transfer

A new nonlinear predator-prey model with incomplete trophic transfer is introduced. In this model,we assume that the rate of the trophic absorption of the predator is less than the rate of the conversion of consumed prey to predator in the Ivlev-type functional responses. The existence and uniqueness of the positive equilibrium of the model and the stability of the equilibrium of the model are studied under various conditions.Hopf bifurcation analysis of the delayed model is provided.     

Boundary Shape Control of the Navier-Stokes Equations and Applications

In this paper, the geometrical design for the blade's surface in an impeller or for the profile of an aircraft, is modeled from the mathematical point of view by a boundary shape control problem for the Navier-Stokes equations. The objective function is the sum of a global dissipative function and the power of the fluid. The control variables are the geometry of the boundary and the state equations are the Navier-Stokes equations. The Euler-Lagrange equations of the optimal control problem are derived, which are an elliptic boundary value system of fourth order, coupled with the Navier-Stokes equations. The authors also prove the existence of the solution of the optimal control problem, the existence of the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations with mixed boundary conditions, the weak continuity of the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations with respect to the geometry shape of the blade's surface and the existence of solutions of the equations for the Gateaux derivative of the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations with respect to the geometry of the boundary.     

An algorithm for decomposing a polynomial system into normal ascending sets

We present an algorithm to decompose a polynomial system into a finite set of normal ascending sets such that the set of the zeros of the polynomial system is the union of the sets of the regular zeros of the normal ascending sets.If the polynomial system is zero dimensional,the set of the zeros of the polynomials is the union of the sets of the zeros of the normal ascending sets.     

On the Growth of Components of Meromorphic Solutions of Systems of Complex Differential Equations

This paper investigates the problem of the growth of the components of meromorphic solutions of a class of a system of complex algebraic differential equations, and generalized some of N. Toda＇s results concerning the growth of differential equations to the case of systems of differential equations. The paper considers the existence of admissible solutions of the system of differential equations.

In this paper we investigate the formation of singularities of hyperbolic systems. Employing the method of parametric coordinates and the existence of the solution of the blow-up system, we prove that the blow-up of classic solutions is due to the envelope of characteristics of the same family, analyze the geometric properties of the envelope of characteristics and estimate the blowup rates of the solution precisely.     

LOCAL AND GLOBAL HOPF BIFURCATIONS IN A DELAYED HUMAN RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

This paper considers a delayed human respiratory model. Firstly, the stability of the equilibrium of the model is investigated and the occurrence of a sequence of Hopf bifurcations of the model is proved. Secondly, the explicit algorithms which determine the direction of the Hopf bifurcations and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are derived by applying the normal form method and the center manifold theory. Finally, the existence of the global periodic solutions is showed under some assumptions on the model.     

A local probability exponential inequality for the large deviation of an empirical process indexed by an unbounded class of functions and its application

A local probability exponential inequality for the tail of large deviation of an empirical process over an unbounded class of functions is proposed and studied. A new method of truncating the original probability space and a new symmetrization method are given. Using these methods, the local probability exponential inequalities for the tails of large deviations of empirical processes with non-i.i.d. independent samples over unbounded class of functions are established. Some applications of the inequalities are discussed. As an additional result of this paper, under the conditions of Kolmogorov theorem, the strong convergence results of Kolmogorov on sums of non-i.i.d. independent random variables are extended to the cases of empirical processes indexed by unbounded classes of functions, the local probability exponential inequalities and the laws of the logarithm for the empirical processes are obtained.     

A Regularized Newton Method in Inverse Scattering Problem from Cavities

We consider the inverse problem to determine the shape of a open cavity embedded in the infinite ground plane from knowledge of the far-field pattern of the scattering of TM polarization.For its approximate solution we propose a regularized Newton iteration scheme.For a foundation of Newton type methods we establish the Fréchet differentiability of solution to the scattering problem with respect to the boundary of the cavity.Some numerical examples of the feasibility of the method are presented.

We consider the problem of estimating the derivative of a function f from its noisy version fδby using the derivatives of the partial sums of Fourier-Legendre series of f~δ. Instead of the observation L~2 space, we perform the reconstruction of the derivative in a weighted L~2 space. This takes full advantage of the properties of Legendre polynomials and results in a slight improvement on the convergence order. Finally, we provide several numerical examples to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.     

On singular Lüroth quartics

Plane quartics containing the ten vertices of a complete pentalateral and limits of them are called Lüroth quartics.The locus of singular Lüroth quartics has two irreducible components,both of codimension two in P14.We compute the degree of them and discuss the consequences of this computation on the explicit form of the Lüroth invariant.One important tool is the Cremona hexahedral equations of the cubic surface.We also compute the class in M 3 of the closure of the locus of nonsingular Lüroth quartics.     

关于运用Liapunov函数的滞后型系统部分稳定性的注释

Sufficient conditions for the stability with respect to part of the functional differential equation variables are given. These conditions utilize Lyapunov functions to determine the uniform stability and uniform asymptotic stability of functional differential equations. These conditions for the partial stability develop the Razumikhin theorems on uniform stability and uniform asymptotic stability of functional differential equations. An example is presented which demonstrates these results and gives insight into the new stability conditions.     

Stability analysis of uncertain fuzzy Hopfield neural networks with time delays

In this paper, the global stability problem of uncertain Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy Hopfield neural networks with time delays (TSFHNNs) is considered. A novel LMI-based stability criterion is obtained by using Lyapunov functional theory to guarantee the asymptotic stability of TSFHNNs. Here, we choose a generalized Lyapunov functional and introduce a parameterized model transformation with free weighting matrices to it, in order to obtain generalized stability region. In fact, these techniques lead to generalized and less conservative stability condition that guarantee the wide stability region. The proposed stability conditions are demonstrated with four numerical examples. Comparison with other stability conditions in the literature shows our conditions are the more powerful ones to guarantee the widest stability region.

通过建立JW(Jackson-Wolinsky)规则之下二元稳定网络的等价条件,给出其完整算法.引入边支付后,证明了增连接情形具有边支付的二元稳定网络集合是二元稳定网络集合与具有边支付的二元稳定网络集合的交集.考察两个特定的网络模型,系统分析了它们的二元稳定性.     

电力市场实用稳定性的判定条件

首次把实用稳定性的理论用于电力市场稳定性的研究中.结合Alvarado提出的电力市场动态模型,利用微分代数方程与特征值技术,从理论上研究电力市场的实用稳定性,并且给出了判断电力市场实用稳定、一致实用稳定和实用渐近稳定性的充分条件.利用这些实用稳定性条件,对于Alvarado给出的数值算例,可方便地利用初始数据判断电力市场模型的实用稳定性,并通过实例提供了假设模型中某个参数在电力市场变化中起主要作用,如何控制电力市场模型实用稳定性的方法.最后利用Maple软件包给出了参数变化引起模型实用稳定和不稳定的图形演示.     

Comparison principle and stability criteria for stochastic differential delay equations with Markovian switching

In the present paper we first obtain the comparison principle for the nonlinear stochastic differential delay equations with Markovian switching. Later, using this comparison principle, we obtain some stability criteria, including stability in probability, asymptotic stability in probability, stability in thepth mean, asymptotic stability in the pth mean and the pth moment exponential stability of such equations. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.     

Mittag-Leffler-Ulam stabilities of fractional evolution equations

In this paper, we present and discuss four types of Mittag-Leffler-Ulam stability: Mittag-Leffler-Ulam-Hyers stability, generalized Mittag-Leffler-Ulam-Hyers stability, Mittag-Leffler-Ulam-Hyers-Rassias stability and generalized Mittag-Leffler-Ulam-Hyers-Rassias stability for a fractional evolution equation in Banach spaces.

Strict stability of impulsive functional differential equations

Strict stability is the kind of stability that can give us some information about the rate of decay of the solutions. There are some results about strict stability of differential equations. In the present paper, we shall extend the strict stability to impulsive functional differential equations. By using Lyapunov functions and Razumikhin technique, we shall get some criteria for the strict stability of impulsive functional differential equations, and we can see that impulses do contribute to the system's strict stability behavior.     

Growth and long-run stability

This paper analyses the implications of persistent growth upon the stability properties of dynamic models. Besides the traditional concept of asymptotic stability, new stability criteria-strong/weak absolute, strong/weak relative, strong/weak logarithmic stability-are introduced, and global stability conditions for satisfying these criteria are stated for general first-order autonomous differential equations. The conflict between rapidity of growth and the degree of stability is demonstrated. Economic applications of the stability theorems are illustrated within the growth models of Harrod and Solow.
