In this paper, we discuss the multiscale analysis and numerical algorithms for the wave equations of second order with rapidly oscillating coefficients. The formal multiscale asymptotic expansions of the solutions for these problems in four specific cases are presented. Higher order corrector methods are constructed and associated explicit convergence rates are obtained in some cases. A multiscale numerical method and a symplectic geometric scheme are introduced. Finally, some numerical results and unsolved problems are presented, and these numerical results support strongly the convergence theorem of this paper.  相似文献

By means of eigenvalue error expansion and integral expansion techniques, we propose and analyze the stream function-vorticity-pressure method for the eigenvalue problem associated with the Stokes equations on the unit square. We obtain an optimal order of convergence for eigenvalues and eigenfuctions. Furthermore, for the bilinear finite element space, we derive asymptotic expansions of the eigenvalue error, an efficient extrapolation and an a posteriori error estimate for the eigenvalue. In this paper we propose an analog of the method of boundary functions for constructing uniform asymptotic expansions of solutions to bisingularly perturbed problems. With the help of this method we construct uniform asymptotic expansions of solutions to the Dirichlet problem for bisingularly perturbed ordinary differential equations and elliptic equations of the second order. By the use of the maximum principle we obtain estimates for the remainder terms.  相似文献

In this paper we develop and analyze a bootstrapping algorithm for the extraction of potentials and arbitrary derivatives of the Cauchy data of regular three-dimensional second order elliptic boundary value problems in connection with corresponding boundary integral equations. The method rests on the derivatives of the generalized Green's representation formula, which are expressed in terms of singular boundary integrals as Hadamard's finite parts. Their regularization, together with asymptotic pseudohomogeneous kernel expansions, yields a constructive method for obtaining generalized jump relations. These expansions are obtained via composition of Taylor expansions of the local surface representation, the density functions, differential operators and the fundamental solution of the original problem, together with the use of local polar coordinates in the parameter domain. For boundary integral equations obtained by the direct method, this method allows the recursive numerical extraction of potentials and their derivatives near and up to the boundary surface.

The asymptotic behavior of a singular-perturbed two-phase Stefan problem due to slow diffusion in one of the two phases is investigated. In the limit, the model equations reduce to a one-phase Stefan problem. A boundary layer at the moving interface makes it necessary to use a corrected interface condition obtained from matched asymptotic expansions. The approach is validated by numerical experiments using a front-tracking method.  相似文献

带二次修正项的Dirac方程在拓扑绝缘体、石墨烯、超导等新材料电磁光特性分析中有着十分广泛的应用.本文工作的创新点有:一是首次提出了矩阵形式带有二次修正项的Dirac方程,它是比较一般的数学框架,涵盖了上述材料体系很多重要的物理模型,具体见附录A;二是针对上述材料体系的电磁响应问题,提出了有界区域Weyl规范下具有周期间断系数矩阵形式带二次修正项Maxwell-Dirac系统的多尺度渐近方法,结合Crank-Nicolson有限差分方法和自适应棱单元方法,发展了一类多尺度算法.数值试验结果验证了多尺度渐近方法的正确性和算法的有效性.  相似文献

A new algorithm coupling the boundary element technique with the characteristic expansion method is proposed for the computation of the singular stress field in the V-notched bi-material structure. After the stress asymptotic expansions are introduced into the linear elasticity equilibrium equations, the governing equations at the small sector dug out from the bi-material V-notch tip region are transformed into the ordinary differential eigen-equations. All the parameters in the asymptotic expansions except the combination coefficients can be achieved by solving the established eigen-equations with the interpolating matrix method. Furthermore, the conventional boundary element method is applied to modeling the remaining structure without the notch tip region. The combination coefficients in the asymptotic expansion forms can be computed by the discretized boundary integral equations. Thus, the singular stress field at the V-notch tip and the generalized stress intensity factors of the bi-material notch are successfully calculated. The accurate singular stress field obtained here is very useful in the evaluation of the fracture property and the fatigue life of the V-notched bi-material structure.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with two-fluid time-dependent non-isentropic Euler–Maxwell equations in a torus for plasmas or semiconductors. By using the method of formal asymptotic expansions, we analyze the non-relativistic limit for periodic problems with the prepared initial data. It is shown that the small parameter problems have unique solutions existing in the finite time interval where the corresponding limit problems (compressible Euler–Poisson equations) have smooth solutions. Moreover, the formal limit is rigorously justified by an iterative scheme and an analysis of asymptotic expansions up to any order.  相似文献
