在凸体理论中,投影不等式的Petty猜想是一个著名的公开问题.首先通过利用Lp-混合体积和Lp-对偶混合体积的概念、Lp-投影体和几何体Γ_pK的关系、Bourgain-Milman不等式和Lp-Busemann-Petty不等式,建立了一个联系投影不等式Petty猜想的Lp-形式的不等式.继而对于每一个关于原点对称的凸体,应用Jensen不等式和几何体Γ_pK的单调性,分别给出了投影不等式Petty猜想的Lp-形式的一个逆向不等式和Lp-Petty投影不等式的一个逆向不等式.  相似文献

令K是一个内部(记作intK)包含原点o的凸体,bdK为其边界,m为覆盖K所需的intK的平移的最小个数.本文证明,存在正实数η和含于η(bdK)的m元点集C1使得C1+int K覆盖K;存在正实数η′、实数γ∈(0,1)和含于η′(bd K)的m元点集C2使得C2+γK覆盖K.基于这两个事实,本文得到关于凸体覆盖的Hadwiger猜想的两个等价形式.本文还引入一个可以替代宗传明提出的攻克Hadwiger猜想的数量方案中的γm(K)的新泛函.  相似文献

多复变数空间Cn中有界域的Bergman核函数的零点问题集中表现为陆启铿猜想.陆启铿猜想是波兰数学家M.Skwarczynski对陆启铿1966年的一篇文章中关于Bergman核函数的零点问题而命名的,至今已经40年了.该猜想已写入了多复变函数论的多本专著,引起很多数学家的兴趣而研究之,已经成为多复变函数论中的一个活跃的研究方向.本文简述了陆启铿猜想的最初含意,综述了迄今为止关于有界域的Bergman核函数有无零点的各种研究成果以及所用的思想和方法.特别对近来出现的陆启铿猜想的新研究领域进行了较详细的阐述并在最后提出了关于陆启铿猜想的6个Open Problems,希望国内的年轻数学家对陆启铿猜想感到兴趣而研究之.  相似文献

设T∈B(H)是Hilbert空间H上的有界线性算子,本文研究了算子投影对(P,Q)和复数对(α,β)的广义投影束T=P+αQ+βPQ的性质.用投影算子的Halmos分解定理,得到了算子T为广义投影束的一些等价条件,给出了广义投影束T的谱性质,证明了广义投影束T在一定条件下与对角算子相似的性质,建立起广义投影束T的谱跟投影P和Q的谱之间的关系.最后,讨论了广义投影束T为特殊算子类,例如Fredholm算子、紧算子、自伴算子的充要条件,并给出了算子T关于幂等对的广义投影束的几个性质.  相似文献

Let KRn be a convex body (a compact, convex subset with non-empty interior), ΠK its projection body. Finding the least upper bound, as K ranges over the class of origin-symmetric convex bodies, of the affine-invariant ratio V(ΠK)/V(K)n−1, being called Schneider's projection problem, is a well-known open problem in the convex geometry. To study this problem, Lutwak, Yang and Zhang recently introduced a new affine invariant functional for convex polytopes in Rn. For origin-symmetric convex polytopes, they posed a conjecture for the new functional U(P). In this paper, we give an affirmative answer to the conjecture in Rn, thereby, obtain a modified version of Schneider's projection problem.  相似文献

A random polytope is the convex hull of uniformly distributed random points in a convex body K. A general lower bound on the variance of the volume and f-vector of random polytopes is proved. Also an upper bound in the case when K is a polytope is given. For polytopes, as for smooth convex bodies, the upper and lower bounds are of the same order of magnitude. The results imply a law of large numbers for the volume and f-vector of random polytopes when K is a polytope.  相似文献

New affine invariant functionals for convex polytopes are introduced. Some sharp affine isoperimetric inequalities are established for the new functionals. These new inequalities lead to fairly strong volume estimates for projection bodies. Two of the new affine isoperimetric inequalities are extensions of Ball's reverse isoperimetric inequalities.

The problem of establishing inequalities of the Hermite-Hadamard type for convex functions on n-dimensional convex bodies translates into the problem of finding appropriate majorants of the involved random vector for the usual convex order. We present two results of partial generality which unify and extend the most part of the multidimensional Hermite-Hadamard inequalities existing in the literature, at the same time that lead to new specific results. The first one fairly applies to the most familiar kinds of polytopes. The second one applies to symmetric random vectors taking values in a closed ball for a given (but arbitrary) norm on Rn. Related questions, such as estimates of approximation and extensions to signed measures, also are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Aratio of affine functions is a function which can be expressed as the ratio of a vector valued affine function and a scalar affine functional. The purpose of this note is to examine properties of sets which are preserved under images and inverse images of such functions. Specifically, we show that images and inverse images of convex sets under such functions are convex sets. Also, images of bounded, convex polytopes under such functions are bounded, convex polytopes. In addition, we provide sufficient conditions under which the extreme points of images of convex sets are images of extreme points of the underlying domains. Of course, this result is useful when one wishes to maximize a convex function over a corresponding set. The above assertions are well known for affine functions. Applications of the results include a problem that concerns the control of stochastic eigenvectors of stochastic matrices.  相似文献

Minkowski’s second theorem on successive minima gives an upper bound on the volume of a convex body in terms of its successive minima. We study the problem to generalize Minkowski’s bound by replacing the volume by the lattice point enumerator of a convex body. In this context we are interested in bounds on the coefficients of Ehrhart polynomials of lattice polytopes via the successive minima. Our results for lattice zonotopes and lattice-face polytopes imply, in particular, that for 0-symmetric lattice-face polytopes and lattice parallelepipeds the volume can be replaced by the lattice point enumerator.  相似文献
