In this article, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a weak solution of a Kolmogorov equation perturbed by an inverse-square potential. More precisely, using a weighted Hardy's inequality with respect to an invariant measure μ, we show the existence of the semigroup solution of the parabolic problem corresponding to a generalized Ornstein–Uhlenbeck operator perturbed by an inverse-square potential in L 2(? N ,?μ). In the case of the classical Ornstein–Uhlenbeck operator we obtain nonexistence of positive exponentially bounded solutions of the parabolic problem if the coefficient of the inverse-square function is too large.  相似文献

Consider the existence of nontrivial solutions of homogeneous Dirichlet problem for a nonlinear elliptic equation with the critical potential in ℝ2. By establishing a weighted inequality with the best constant, determine the critical potential in ℝ2, and study the eigenvalues of Laplace equation with the critical potential. By the Pohozaev identity of a solution with a singular point and the Cauchy-Kovalevskaya theorem, obtain the nonexistence result of solutions with singular points to the nonlinear elliptic equation. Moreover, for the same problem, the existence results of multiple solutions are proved by the mountain pass theorem.  相似文献

In this paper we study first nonexistence of radial entire solutions of elliptic systems of the mean curvature type with a singular or degenerate diffusion depending on the solution u. In particular we extend a previous result given in [R. Filippucci, Nonexistence of radial entire solutions of elliptic systems, J. Differential Equations 188 (2003) 353-389]. Moreover, in the scalar case we obtain nonexistence of all entire solutions, radial or not, of differential inequalities involving again operators of the mean curvature type and a diffusion term. We prove that in the scalar case, nonexistence of entire solutions is due to the explosion of the derivative of every nonglobal radial solution in the right extremum of the maximal interval of existence, while in that point the solution is bounded. This behavior is qualitatively different with respect to what happens for the m-Laplacian operator, studied in [R. Filippucci, Nonexistence of radial entire solutions of elliptic systems, J. Differential Equations 188 (2003) 353-389], where nonexistence of entire solutions is due, even in the vectorial case, to the explosion in norm of the solution at a finite point. Our nonexistence theorems for inequalities extend previous results given by Naito and Usami in [Y. Naito, H. Usami, Entire solutions of the inequality div(A(|Du|)Du)?f(u), Math. Z. 225 (1997) 167-175] and Ghergu and Radulescu in [M. Ghergu, V. Radulescu, Existence and nonexistence of entire solutions to the logistic differential equation, Abstr. Appl. In this paper, we introduce weighted p-Sobolev spaces on manifolds with edge singularities. We give the proof for the corresponding edge type Sobolev inequality, Poincaré inequality and Hardy inequality. As an application of these inequalities, we prove the existence of nontrivial weak solutions for the Dirichlet problem of semilinear elliptic equations with singular potentials on manifolds with edge singularities.  相似文献

We show that weak solutions of the Derrida–Lebowitz–Speer–Spohn (DLSS) equation display infinite speed of support propagation. We apply our method to the case of the quantum drift–diffusion equation which augments the DLSS equation with a drift term and possibly a second-order diffusion term. The proof is accomplished using weighted entropy estimates, Hardy’s inequality and a family of singular weight functions to derive a differential inequality; the differential inequality shows exponential growth of the weighted entropy, with the growth constant blowing up very fast as the singularity of the weight becomes sharper. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first example of a nonnegativity-preserving higher-order parabolic equation displaying infinite speed of support propagation.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to establish the influence of a non-symmetric perturbation for a symmetric hemivariational eigenvalue inequality with constraints. The original problem was studied by Motreanu and Panagiotopoulos who deduced the existence of infinitely many solutions for the symmetric case. In this paper it is shown that the number of solutions of the perturbed problem becomes larger and larger if the perturbation tends to zero with respect to a natural topology. Results of this type in the case of semilinear equations have been obtained in [1] Ambrosetti, A. (1974), A perturbation theorem for superlinear boundary value problems, Math. Res. Center, Univ. Wisconsin-Madison, Tech. Sum. Report 1446; and [2] Bahri, A. and Berestycki, H. (1981), A perturbation method in critical point theory and applications, Trans. Am. Math. We find conditions under which the Kato inequality is preserved in the case where, instead of an operator with finitely many variables, an operator with infinitely many separated variables is taken. In a previous work [6], we got an exact local behavior to the positive solutions of an elliptic equation. With the help of this exact local behavior, we obtain in this paper the existence of solutions of an equation with Hardy–Sobolev critical growth and singular term by using variational methods. We consider the study of an eigenvalue problem obtained by linearizing about solitary wave solutions of a Boussinesq equation. Instead of using the technique of Evans functions as done by Pego and Weinstein in [R. Pego and M. Weinstein, Convective Linear Stability of Solitary Waves for Boussinesq equation. AMS, 99, 311–375] for this particular problem, we perform Fourier analysis to characterize solutions of the eigenvalue problem in terms of a multiplier operator and use the strong relationship between the eigenvalue problem for the linearized Boussinesq equation and the eigenvalue problem associated with the linearization about solitary wave solutions of a special form of the KdV equation. By using a generalization of the Rouché Theorem and the asymptotic behavior of the Fourier symbol corresponding to the eigenvalues problem for the Boussinesq equation and the Fourier symbol corresponding to the eigenvalues problem for the KdV equation, we show nonexistence of eigenvalues with respect to weighted space in a planar region containing the right-half plane.  相似文献

We investigate existence, nonexistence and asymptotical behaviour—both at the origin and at infinity—of radial self-similar solutions to a semilinear parabolic equation with inverse-square potential. These solutions are relevant to prove nonuniqueness of the Cauchy problem for the parabolic equation in certain Lebesgue spaces, generalizing the result proved by Haraux and Weissler [Non-uniqueness for a semilinear initial value problem, Indiana Univ. New Sobolev type embeddings for some weighted Banach spaces are established. Using such embeddings and the singular positive radial entire solutions, we construct singular positive weak solutions with a prescribed singular set for a weighted elliptic equation. Our main results in this paper also provide positive weak solutions with a prescribed singular set to an equation with Hardy potential.  相似文献

Abstract

Motivated by the study of selfdual vortices in gauge field theory, we consider a class of Mean Field equations of Liouville-type on compact surfaces involving singular data assigned by Dirac measures supported at finitely many points (the so called vortex points). According to the applications, we need to describe the blow-up behavior of solution-sequences which concentrate exactly at the given vortex points. We provide accurate pointwise estimates for the profile of the bubbling sequences as well as “sup + inf” estimates for solutions. Those results extend previous work of Li [Li, Y. Y. (1999). Harnack type inequality: The method of moving planes. Comm. Math. Phys. 200:421–444] and Brezis et al. [Brezis, H., Li, Y. Shafrir, I. (1993). A sup + inf inequality for some nonlinear elliptic equations involving the exponential nonlinearities. J. Funct. Anal. 115: 344–358] relative to the “regular” case, namely in absence of singular sources.  相似文献

We revisit the classical Hardy inequality and the evolution problem associated to its Euler-Lagrange elliptic operator in the spirit of the paper by Vázquez and Zuazua (J Funct Analysis 173:103?C153 2000). As a result, we establish the correct optimal functional setting by means of a reformulation of the problem that eliminates the possible indefinite character of the Hardy functional due to the singular behaviour of solutions near the origin. Surprisingly, the connection of the energy of the new formulation with the standard Hardy functional is nontrivial, due to the presence of a Hardy singularity energy. This corresponds to a loss for the total energy. The problem already arises when the equation is posed in a bounded domain, a case we study in full detail. We also consider an equivalent problem with inverse-square potential on an exterior domain. The extra energy term is then present as an effect that comes from infinity, a kind of hidden energy. In this case, in an unexpected way, this term is additive to the total energy, and it may even constitute the main part of it.  相似文献

This paper gives a type theorem, which is a boundedness criterion for singular integral operators from the weighted Herz‐type Hardy spaces into the weighted local Herz‐type Hardy spaces. As applications, the corresponding mapping properties for the Cauchy integral and Calderón's commutators are obtained. In addition, a counter example is shown that neither is a Calderón–Zygmund singular integral operator bounded on the homogeneous local Herz‐type Hardy space, nor bounded on the classical local Hardy space.  相似文献

In this work we construct a Markov family of martingale solutions for 3D stochastic Navier–Stokes equations (SNSE) perturbed by Lévy noise with periodic boundary conditions. Using the Kolmogorov equations of integrodifferential type associated with the SNSE perturbed by Lévy noise, we construct a transition semigroup and establish the existence of a unique invariant measure. We also show that it is ergodic and strongly mixing.  相似文献
