In this article,we consider the Lipschitz metric of conservative weak solutions for the rotation-Camassa-Holm equation.Based on defining a Finsler-type norm on the tangent space for solutions,we first establish the Lipschitz metric for smooth solutions,then by proving the generic regularity result,we extend this metric to general weak solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a minimum residual based gradient iterative method for solving a class of matrix equations including Sylvester matrix equations and general coupled matrix equations. The paper is a contribution to the problem of approximating random set with values in a separable Banach space. This class of set-valued function is widely used in many areas.We investigate the properties of p-bounded integrable random set. Based on this we endow it with △p metric which can be viewed as a integral type hausdorff metric and present some approximation theorem of a class of convolution operators with respect to △p metric. By employing the fixed point theorem of cone expansion and compression of norm type, we investigate the existence of positive solutions of generalized Sturm-Liouville boundary value problems for a nonlinear singular differential equation with a parameter. Some sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions are established. In the last section, an example is presented to illustrate the applications of our main results.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain the Hejek-Renyi-type inequality for a class of random variable sequences and give some applications for associated random variable sequences, strongly positive dependent stochastic sequences and martingale difference sequences which generalize and improve the results of Prakasa Rao and Soo published in Statist. Probab. Lett., 57(2002) and 78(2008). Using this result, we get the integrability of supremum and the strong law of large numbers for a class of random variable sequences.  相似文献

Let(X, ω) be a compact Hermitian manifold of complex dimension n. In this article,we first survey recent progress towards Grauert–Riemenschneider type criteria. Secondly, we give a simplified proof of Boucksom's conjecture given by the author under the assumption that the Hermitian metric ω satisfies ?■ω~l= for all l, i.e., if T is a closed positive current on X such that ∫_XT_(ac)~n 0, then the class {T } is big and X is Kahler. Finally, as an easy observation, we point out that Nguyen's result can be generalized as follows: if ?■ω = 0, and T is a closed positive current with analytic singularities,such that ∫_XT_(ac)~n 0, then the class {T} is big and X is Kahler.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the multiplicity results of positive solutions for a class of quasi-linear elliptic equations involving critical Sobolev exponent. In this note, we prove the existence of positive solutions to a class of biharmonical systems. 考虑求解一类半监督距离度量学习问题. 由于样本集(数据库)的规模与复杂性的激增, 在考虑距离度量学习问题时, 必须考虑学习来的距离度量矩阵具有稀疏性的特点. 因此, 在现有的距离度量学习模型中, 增加了学习矩阵的稀疏约束. 为了便于模型求解, 稀疏约束应用了Frobenius 范数约束. 进一步, 通过罚函数方法将Frobenius范数约束罚到目标函数, 使得具有稀疏约束的模型转化成无约束优化问题. 为了求解问题, 提出了正定矩阵群上加速投影梯度算法, 克服了矩阵群上不能直接进行线性组合的困难, 并分析了算法的收敛性. 最后通过UCI数据库的分类问题的例子, 进行了数值实验, 数值实验的结果说明了学习矩阵的稀疏性以及加速投影梯度算法的有效性.  相似文献

We study the stable norm on the first homology of a Riemannian polyhedron. In the one-dimensional case (metric graphs), the geometry of the unit ball of this norm is completely described by the combinatorial structure of the graph. For a smooth manifold of dimension ≥3 and using polyhedral techniques, we show that a large class of polytopes appears as unit ball of the stable norm associated to some metric conformal to a given one. Positive definite matrix approximation with a condition number constraint is an optimization problem to find the nearest positive definite matrix whose condition number is smaller than a given constant. We demonstrate that this problem can be converted to a simpler one when we use a unitary similarity invariant norm as a metric. We can especially convert it to a univariate piecewise convex optimization problem when we use the Ky Fan p-k norm. We also present an analytical solution to the problem whose metric is the spectral norm and the trace norm.  相似文献

This paper develops a theory of harmonic analysis on spaces with tree metrics, extending previous work in this direction by Gavish, Nadler and Coifman (2010) [30] and Gavish and Coifman (2011, 2012) [28], [29]. We show how a natural system of martingales and martingale differences induced by a partition tree leads to simple and effective characterizations of the Lipschitz norm and its dual for functions on a single tree metric space. The restrictions we place on the tree metrics are far more general than those considered in previous work. As the dual norm is equal to the Earth Mover's Distance (EMD) between two probability distributions, we recover a simple formula for EMD with respect to tree distances presented by Charikar (2002) [36].We also consider the situation where an arbitrary metric is approximated by the average of a family of dominating tree metrics. We show that the Lipschitz norm and its dual for the tree metrics can be combined to yield an approximation to the corresponding norms for the underlying metric.The main contributions of this paper, however, are the generalizations of the aforementioned results to the setting of the product of two or more tree metric spaces. For functions on a product space, the notion of regularity we consider is not the Lipschitz condition, but rather the mixed Lipschitz condition that controls the size of a function's mixed difference quotient. This condition is extremely natural for datasets that can be described as a product of metric spaces, such as word-document databases. We develop effective formulas for norms equivalent to the mixed Lipschitz norm and its dual, and extend our results on combining pairs of trees.  相似文献

Using Fraïssé theoretic methods we enrich the Urysohn universal space by universal and homogeneous closed relations, retractions, closed subsets of the product of the Urysohn space itself and some fixed compact metric space, L-Lipschitz map to a fixed Polish metric space. The latter lifts to a universal linear operator of norm L on the Lispchitz-free space of the Urysohn space.Moreover, we enrich the Gurarij space by a universal and homogeneous closed subspace and norm one projection onto a 1-complemented subspace. The typical approach in solving vector optimization problems is to scalarize the vector cost function into a single cost function by means of some utility or value function. A very large class of utility function is given by the Minkowski’s metric proposed by Charnes and Cooper in the context of goal programming. This includes the special case of linear scalarization and the weighted Tchebyshev norm. We shall furnish a rigorous justification that there is no equivalent relationship between the general vector optimization problem and scalarized optimization problems using any Minkowski’s metric utility function. Furthermore, we also show that the weighted Tchebyshev norm is, in some sense, the best amongst the class of Minkowski’s metric utility functions since it is the only scalarization method which yields an equivalence relation between the weak vector optimization problem and a set of scalar optimization problems, without any convexity assumption  相似文献

Recently Hiai-Petz (2009) [10] discussed a parametrized geometry for positive definite matrices with a pull-back metric for a diffeomorphism to the Euclidean space. Though they also showed that the geodesic is a path of operator means, their interest lies mainly in metrics of the geometry. In this paper, we reconstruct their geometry without metrics and then we show their metric for each unitarily invariant norm defines a Finsler one. Also we discuss another type of geometry in Hiai and Petz (2009) [10] which is a generalization of Corach-Porta-Recht’s one [3].  相似文献

In this paper we consider Hamilton's Ricci flow on a 3-manifold with a metric of positive scalar curvature. We establish several a priori estimates for the Ricci flow which we believe are important in understanding possible singularities of the Ricci flow. For Ricci flow with initial metric of positive scalar curvature, we obtain a sharp estimate on the norm of the Ricci curvature in terms of the scalar curvature (which is not trivial even if the initial metric has non-negative Ricci curvature, a fact which is essential in Hamilton's estimates [R.S. Hamilton, Three-manifolds with positive Ricci curvature, J. Differential Geom. 17 (1982) 255-306]), some L2-estimates for the gradients of the Ricci curvature, and finally the Harnack type estimates for the Ricci curvature. These results are established through careful (and rather complicated and lengthy) computations, integration by parts and the maximum principles for parabolic equations.  相似文献

We adapt the metric approach to the study of stationary ergodic Hamilton?CJacobi equations, for which a notion of admissible random (sub)solution is defined. For any level of the Hamiltonian greater than or equal to a distinguished critical value, we define an intrinsic random semidistance and prove that an asymptotic norm does exist. Taking as source region a suitable class of closed random sets, we show that the Lax formula provides admissible subsolutions. This enables us to relate the degeneracies of the critical stable norm to the existence/nonexistence of exact or approximate critical admissible solutions.  相似文献
