In the present paper, we investigate some subordination- and superordination-preserving properties for certain classes of analytic and multivalent functions in the open unit disk, which are associated with such multiplier transformations as the Srivastava-Attiya operator. Various sandwich-type theorems for functions belonging to these classes are also obtained.  相似文献

For certain classes of locally Lipschitzian functions (continuous selections, componentwise maximum functions of Cfc-mappings) we compute bounds on the entropy dimension of the set of generalized, critical values. This yields a measure of metric complexity to compare these classes. For vector valued functions we also compare different concepts of derivatives from this metric point of view. For continuous selections of differentiable functions even explicit bounds on the e-entropy of the nearly critical values of f are provided.  相似文献

Error estimates for scattered-data interpolation via radial basis functions (RBFs) for target functions in the associated reproducing kernel Hilbert space (RKHS) have been known for a long time. Recently, these estimates have been extended to apply to certain classes of target functions generating the data which are outside the associated RKHS. However, these classes of functions still were not "large" enough to be applicable to a number of practical situations. In this paper we obtain Sobolev-type error estimates on compact regions of Rn when the RBFs have Fourier transforms that decay algebraically. In addition, we derive a Bernstein inequality for spaces of finite shifts of an RBF in terms of the minimal separation parameter.  相似文献

In this paper, firstly we define the generalization of the generalized Al-Oboudi differential operator. Then we also define new classes of analytic and p-valently starlike and convex functions with complex order by means of this new general differential operator. Our main purpose is to determine coefficient bounds for functions in certain subclasses of this classes, which are introduced here by means of a family of nonhomogeneous Cauchy-Euler differential equations. Relevant connections of some of the results obtained with those in earlier works are also provided.  相似文献

Ruscheweyh and Sheil-Small proved the PólyarSchoenberg conjecture that the class of convex analytic functions is closed under convolution or Hadamard product. They also showed that close-to-convexity is preserved under convolution with convex analytic functions. In this note, we investigate harmonic analogs. Beginning with convex analytic functions, we form certain harmonic functions which preserve close-to-convexity under convolution. An auxiliary function enables us to obtain necessary and sufficient convolution conditions for convex and starlike harmonic functions, which lead to sufficient coefficient bounds for inclusion in these classes.  相似文献

Optimal methods are constructed for recovering functions and their derivatives in a Sobolev class of functions on the line from exactly or approximately defined Fourier transforms of these functions on an arbitrary measurable set. The methods are exact on certain subspaces of entire functions. Optimal recovery methods are also constructed for wider function classes obtained as the sum of the original Sobolev class and a subspace of entire functions.  相似文献

We study the combinatorics of two classes of basic hypergeometric series. We first show that these series are the generating functions for certain overpartition pairs defined by frequency conditions on the parts. We then show that when specialized these series are also the generating functions for overpartition pairs with bounded successive ranks, overpartition pairs with conditions on their Durfee dissection, as well as certain lattice paths. When further specialized, the series become infinite products, leading to numerous identities for partitions, overpartitions, and overpartition pairs.  相似文献

The Cegrell classes with zero boundary data are defined by certain decreasing approximating sequences of functions with different properties depending on the class in question. It is different for Cegrell classes which are given by a continuous function f, these classes are defined by an inequality. It is proved in this article that it is possible to define the Cegrell classes which are given by f in a similar manner as those classes with zero boundary data. An existence result for the Dirichlet problem for certain singular measures is proved. The article ends with three applications. Results connected to convergence in capacity, subextension of plurisubharmonic functions and integrability are proved.  相似文献

We prove that - under certain conditions - measurable solutions $f$ of the functional equation $f(x)=h(x,y,f(g_{1}(x,y)),\ldots,f(g_{n}(x,y))),\quad(x,y)\in D \subset \mathbb{R}^{s} \times \mathbb{R}^{l}$ are continuous, even if $1\le l\le s$. As a tool we introduce new classes of functions which - roughly speaking - interpolate between continuous and Lebesgue measurable functions. In this paper, we investigate the properties on some classes of complex-valued functions which satisfy certain elliptic equations. First, we discuss the Lipschitz-type spaces and Hardy spaces on these functions, and then we show that for a class of complex-valued functions, if it admits some bounded Dirichlet-type energy integral, then it has a harmonic majorant in the unit disk.  相似文献

The maximally clustered permutations are characterized by avoiding the classical permutation patterns {3421, 4312, 4321}. This class contains the freely braided permutations and the fully commutative permutations. In this work, we show that the generating functions for certain fully commutative pattern classes can be transformed to give generating functions for the corresponding freely braided and maximally clustered pattern classes. Moreover, this transformation of generating functions is rational. As a result, we obtain enumerative formulas for the pattern classes mentioned above as well as the corresponding hexagon-avoiding pattern classes where the hexagon-avoiding permutations are characterized by avoiding {46718235, 46781235, 56718234, 56781234}.  相似文献

Presenting a unified approach, we establish a Kolmogorov-type comparison theorem for classes of 2π-periodic functions defined by a special class of operators having certain oscillation properties, which include the classical Sobolev class of 2π-periodic functions, the Achieser class, and the Hardy-Sobolev class as examples. Then, using these results, we prove a Taikov-type inequality, and calculate the exact values of the Kolmogorov, Gel'fand, linear, and information n-widths of these classes of functions in the space Lq, which is the classical Lebesgue integral space of 2π-periodic functions with the usual norm.  相似文献

Hypergeometric functions of several variables resemble functions of finite analytic complexity in the sense that the elements of both classes satisfy certain canonical overdetermined systems of partial differential equations. Otherwise these two sets of functions are very different. We investigate the relation between the two classes of functions and compute the analytic complexity of certain bivariate hypergeometric functions.  相似文献

We study three classes of algebras: absolutely free algebras, free commutative non-associative, and free anti-commutative non-associative algebras. We study asymptotics of the growth for free algebras of these classes and for their subvarieties as well. Mainly, we study finitely generated algebras, also the codimension growth for varieties in theses classes is studied. For these purposes we use ordinary generating functions as well as exponential generating functions. The following subvarieties are studied in these classes: solvable, completely solvable, right-nilpotent, and completely right-nilpotent subvarieties. The obtained results are equivalent to an enumeration of binary labeled and unlabeled rooted trees that do not contain some forbidden subtrees. We enumerate these trees using generating functions. For solvable and right-nilpotent algebras the generating functions are algebraic. For completely solvable and completely right-nilpotent algebras the respective functions are rational. It is known that these three varieties of algebras satisfy Schreier's property, i.e., subalgebras of free algebras are free. For free groups, there is Schreier's formula for the rank of a subgroup of a free group. We find analogues of this formula for these varieties. They are written in terms of series. As an application, we study invariants of finite groups acting on absolutely free algebras.  相似文献

Lower bounds for the error of quadrature formulas with positive weights are proved. We get intractability results for quasi-Monte Carlo methods and, more generally, for positive formulas. We consider general classes of functions but concentrate on lower bounds for relatively small classes of trigonometric polynomials. We also conjecture that similar lower bounds hold for arbitrary quadrature formulas and state different equivalent conjectures concerning positive definiteness of certain matrices and certain extremal problems for trigonometric polynomials. We also study classes of functions with weighted norms where some variables are “more important” than others. Positive quadrature formulas are then tractable iff the sum of the weights is bounded.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove necessary and sufficient conditions for a sense-preserving harmonic function to be absolutely convex in the open unit disc. We also estimate the coefficient bound and obtain growth, covering and area theorems for absolutely convex harmonic mappings. A natural generalization of the classical Bernardi-type operator for harmonic functions is considered and its connection between certain classes of uniformly starlike harmonic functions and uniformly convex harmonic functions is also investigated. At the end, as applications, we present a number of results connected with hypergeometric and polylogarithm functions.  相似文献
