The effectiveness of the THESEUS multi-criteria sorting method is characterized, here, by (i) its capacity for suggesting precise and appropriate assignments; (ii) the probability of suggesting imprecise assignments; and (iii) the probability of suggesting incorrect assignments. We study how these important features are influenced by the number of criteria and categories, the cardinality of the reference set and the level of decision-maker consistency. We present a theoretical characterization and a wide range of experimental results that confirm and complement the formal analysis. The proposed way of analyzing effectiveness may be applied to other multi-criteria sorting methods.  相似文献

Most multicriteria decision methods need the definition of a significant amount of preferential information from a decision agent. The preference disaggregation analysis paradigm infers the model’s parameter values from holistic judgments provided by a decision agent. Here, a new method for inferring the parameters of a fuzzy outranking model for multicriteria sorting is proposed. This approach allows us to use most of the preferential information contained in a reference set. The central idea is to characterize the quality of the model by measuring discrepancies and concordances amongst (i) the preference relations derived from the outranking model, and (ii) the preferential information contained in the reference set. The model’s parameters are inferred from a multiobjective optimization problem, according to some additional preferential information from a decision agent. Once the model has been fitted, sorting decisions about new objects are performed by using a fuzzy indifference relation. This proposal performs very well in some examples.  相似文献

We present a new method, called ELECTREGKMS, which employs robust ordinal regression to construct a set of outranking models compatible with preference information. The preference information supplied by the decision maker (DM) is composed of pairwise comparisons stating the truth or falsity of the outranking relation for some real or fictitious reference alternatives. Moreover, the DM specifies some ranges of variation of comparison thresholds on considered pseudo-criteria. Using robust ordinal regression, the method builds a set of values of concordance indices, concordance thresholds, indifference, preference, and veto thresholds, for which all specified pairwise comparisons can be restored. Such sets are called compatible outranking models. Using these models, two outranking relations are defined, necessary and possible. Whether for an ordered pair of alternatives there is necessary or possible outranking depends on the truth of outranking relation for all or at least one compatible model, respectively. Distinguishing the most certain recommendation worked out by the necessary outranking, and a possible recommendation worked out by the possible outranking, ELECTREGKMS answers questions of robustness concern. The method is intended to be used interactively with incremental specification of pairwise comparisons, possibly with decreasing confidence levels. In this way, the necessary and possible outranking relations can be, respectively, enriched or impoverished with the growth of the number of pairwise comparisons. Furthermore, the method is able to identify troublesome pieces of preference information which are responsible for incompatibility. The necessary and possible outranking relations are to be exploited as usual outranking relations to work out recommendation in choice or ranking problems. The introduced approach is illustrated by a didactic example showing how ELECTREGKMS can support real-world decision problems.  相似文献

对于一个多指标决策问题,证据理论可以通过构造辨识框架和基本概率分配函数、采取递归的证据合成方法。计算出原始数据在反映多个指标联合作用的情况下对不同判别结果的支持程度,并可以在信息复杂或数据不完整的条件下做出评估决策。本文首先建立基于证据推理的多指标评估问题的基本模型,然后引入了模糊数据方法以处理具有模糊概念或推理关系的复杂问题,同时还考虑了实际问题中可能出现加权证据或者相关证据的情况,其目的是为了建立一套具有实用性的、准确有效的多指标评估模型。文章最后设计一个风险评估的算例,分析了该方法的优点以及需要进一步完善之处。  相似文献

This paper presents a special multiple criteria decision making approach for solving problems in context with fuzzy individual preferences.At first we briefly expose the proposed methodology. The individual preferences are explicitly given by a complete transitive relation R on a set of reference actions. The modelling of the decision-maker's preferences is obtained by means of fuzzy outranking relations. These fuzzy relations are based on a system of additive utility functions which are estimated by means of ordinal regression methods analysing the preference relation R.This is followed by a presentation of two real multicriteria problems which the proposed methodology has been applied to, i.e. a highway plan choice problem and a problem in marketing research dealing with the launching of a new product. In each application we tried to specify this method according to the specific structure of the problem considered.  相似文献

We present a new multiple criteria sorting method that aims at assigning actions evaluated on multiple criteria to p pre-defined and ordered classes. The preference information supplied by the decision maker (DM) is a set of assignment examples on a subset of actions relatively well known to the DM. These actions are called reference actions. Each assignment example specifies a desired assignment of a corresponding reference action to one or several contiguous classes. The set of assignment examples is used to build a preference model of the DM represented by a set of general additive value functions compatible with the assignment examples. For each action a, the method computes two kinds of assignments to classes, concordant with the DM’s preference model: the necessary assignment and the possible assignment. The necessary assignment specifies the range of classes to which the action can be assigned considering all compatible value functions simultaneously. The possible assignment specifies, in turn, the range of classes to which the action can be assigned considering any compatible value function individually. The compatible value functions and the necessary and possible assignments are computed through the resolution of linear programs.  相似文献

In the framework of multicriteria decision aid, a lot of interest has been devoted to sorting problems, in which the set of categories is pre-defined. Besides, preference oriented multicriteria clustering has received little attention. Usual geometric and related metrics are not well suited for this problem. Here, we propose a clustering method based on a valued indifference relation inspired by outranking methods. We suggest a method (based on comparing cluster centers and an average net flow score of clusters) to build a complete ranking of the set of clusters, that is, a way of defining a set of ordered categories for sorting purposes. This paper investigates an approach for multi-criterion decision making (MCDM) problems with interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy preference relations (IVIFPRs). Based on the novel interval score function, some extended concepts associated with IVIFPRs are defined, including the score matrix, the approximate optimal transfer matrix and the possibility degree matrix. By using these new matrixes, a prioritization method for IVIFPRs is proposed. Then, we investigate an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy AHP method for multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problems. In the end, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the application of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this paper the abstract notion of a solution principle for multi-criteria decision-making problems is introduced as a set-valued mapping which associates to each decision problem (several) sets of potential solutions. In this paper, we present a new preference disaggregation method for multiple criteria sorting problems, called DIS-CARD. Real-life experience indicates the need of considering decision making situations in which a decision maker (DM) specifies a desired number of alternatives to be assigned to single classes or to unions of some classes. These situations require special methods for multiple criteria sorting subject to desired cardinalities of classes. DIS-CARD deals with such a problem, using the ordinal regression approach to construct a model of DM’s preferences from preference information provided in terms of exemplary assignments of some reference alternatives, together with the above desired cardinalities. We develop a mathematical model for incorporating such preference information via mixed integer linear programming (MILP). Then, we adapt the MILP model to two types of preference models: an additive value function and an outranking relation. Illustrative example is solved to illustrate the methodology.  相似文献

In most decisio-making problems a preference relation in the set of alternatives is of a fuzzy nature, reflecting for instance on the fuzziness of experts estimates of the preferences. In this paper, the corresponding fuzzy equivalence and strict preference relations are defined for a given fuzzy non-strict preference relation in an unfuzzy set of alternatives which are used to introduce in a natural way the fuzzy set of nondominated alternatives. Two types of linearity of a fuzzy relation are introduced and the equivalence of the unfuzzy nondominated alternatives is studied. It is shown that unfuzzy nondominated solutions to the decision-making problem exist, provided the original fuzzy relation satisfies some topological requirements. A simple method of calculating these solutions is indicated.  相似文献

A multi-objective optimization evolutionary algorithm incorporating preference information interactively is proposed. A new nine grade evaluation method is used to quantify the linguistic preferences expressed by the decision maker (DM) so as to reduce his/her cognitive overload. When comparing individuals, the classical Pareto dominance relation is commonly used, but it has difficulty in dealing with problems involving large numbers of objectives in which it gives an unmanageable and large set of Pareto optimal solutions. In order to overcome this limitation, a new outranking relation called “strength superior” which is based on the preference information is constructed via a fuzzy inference system to help the algorithm find a few solutions located in the preferred regions, and the graphical user interface is used to realize the interaction between the DM and the algorithm. The computational complexity of the proposed algorithm is analyzed theoretically, and its ability to handle preference information is validated through simulation. The influence of parameters on the performance of the algorithm is discussed and comparisons to another preference guided multi-objective evolutionary algorithm indicate that the proposed algorithm is effective in solving high dimensional optimization problems.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to design a new extension of the ELECTRE, known as the elimination and choice translating reality method, for multi-criteria group decision-making problems based on intuitionistic fuzzy sets. This method is widely utilized when a set of alternatives should be identified and evaluated with respect to a set of conflicting criteria by reflecting decision makers’ (DMs’) preferences. However, handling the exact data and numerical measure is difficult to be precisely focused because the DMs’ judgments are often vague in real-life decision problems and applications. A more realistic and practical approach can be to use linguistic variables expressed in intuitionistic fuzzy numbers instead of numerical data to model DMs’ judgments and to describe the inputs in the ELECTRE method. The proposed intuitionsitic fuzzy ELECTRE utilizes the truth-membership function and non-truth-membership function to indicate the degrees of satisfiability and non-satisfiability of each alternative with respect to each criterion and the relative importance of each criterion, respectively. Then, a new discordance intuitionistic index is introduced, which is extended from the concept of the fuzzy distance measure. Outranking relations are defined by pairwise comparisons and a decision graph is depicted to determine which alternative is preferable, incomparable or indifferent in the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Finally, a comprehensive sensitivity analysis is employed to further study regarding the impact of threshold values on the final evaluation, and a comparative analysis is demonstrated with an application example in flexible manufacturing systems between the proposed ELECTRE method and the existing intuitionistic fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (IF-TOPSIS) method.  相似文献

The mathematical representation of human preferences has been a subject of study for researchers in different fields. In multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) and fuzzy modeling, preference models are typically constructed by interacting with the human decision maker (DM). However, it is known that a DM often has difficulties to specify precise values for certain parameters of the model. He/she instead feels more comfortable to give holistic judgements for some of the alternatives. Inference and elicitation procedures then assist the DM to find a satisfactory model and to assess unjudged alternatives. In a related but more statistical way, machine learning algorithms can also infer preference models with similar setups and purposes, but here less interaction with the DM is required/allowed. In this article we discuss the main differences between both types of inference and, in particular, we present a hybrid approach that combines the best of both worlds. This approach consists of a very general kernel-based framework for constructing and inferring preference models. Additive models, for which interpretability is preserved, and utility models can be considered as special cases. Besides generality, important benefits of this approach are its robustness to noise and good scalability. We show in detail how this framework can be utilized to aggregate single-criterion outranking relations, resulting in a flexible class of preference models for which domain knowledge can be specified by a DM.   相似文献

An original methodology for using rough sets to preference modeling in multi-criteria decision problems is presented. This methodology operates on a pairwise comparison table (PCT), including pairs of actions described by graded preference relations on particular criteria and by a comprehensive preference relation. It builds up a rough approximation of a preference relation by graded dominance relations. Decision rules derived from the rough approximation of a preference relation can be used to obtain a recommendation in multi-criteria choice and ranking problems. The methodology is illustrated by an example of multi-criteria programming of water supply systems.  相似文献

Interactive approaches employing cone contraction for multi-criteria mixed integer optimization are introduced. In each iteration, the decision maker (DM) is asked to give a reference point (new aspiration levels). The subsequent Pareto optimal point is the reference point projected on the set of admissible objective vectors using a suitable scalarizing function. Thereby, the procedures solve a sequence of optimization problems with integer variables. In such a process, the DM provides additional preference information via pair-wise comparisons of Pareto optimal points identified. Using such preference information and assuming a quasiconcave and non-decreasing value function of the DM we restrict the set of admissible objective vectors by excluding subsets, which cannot improve over the solutions already found. The procedures terminate if all Pareto optimal solutions have been either generated or excluded. In this case, the best Pareto point found is an optimal solution. Such convergence is expected in the special case of pure integer optimization; indeed, numerical simulation tests with multi-criteria facility location models and knapsack problems indicate reasonably fast convergence, in particular, under a linear value function. We also propose a procedure to test whether or not a solution is a supported Pareto point (optimal under some linear value function).  相似文献

Interval fuzzy preference relation is a useful tool to express decision maker’s uncertain preference information. How to derive the priority weights from an interval fuzzy preference relation is an interesting and important issue in decision making with interval fuzzy preference relation(s). In this paper, some new concepts such as additive consistent interval fuzzy preference relation, multiplicative consistent interval fuzzy preference relation, etc., are defined. Some simple and practical linear programming models for deriving the priority weights from various interval fuzzy preference relations are established, and two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the developed models.  相似文献

Let A be a finite set of feasible actions which are judged following several criteria. An outranking relation is defined on A by considering preference of the decision maker as a weak order on each criterion and the relation among criteria as a semi-order on the given set of criteria.Several ways of constructing outranking relations have been proposed. One of the most popular, introduced by B. Roy, for instance ELECTRE(s), is based on the use of weights related to criteria. This paper investigates the aggregation of multiple fuzzy preference relations into a collective fuzzy preference relation in fuzzy group decision analysis and proposes an optimization based aggregation approach to assess the relative importance weights of the multiple fuzzy preference relations. The proposed approach that is analytical in nature assesses the weights by minimizing the sum of squared distances between any two weighted fuzzy preference relations. Relevant theorems are offered in support of the proposed approach. Multiplicative preference relations are also incorporated into the approach using an appropriate transformation technique. An eigenvector method is introduced to derive the priorities from the collective fuzzy preference relation. The proposed aggregation approach is tested using two numerical examples. A third example involving broadband internet service selection is offered to illustrate that the proposed aggregation approach provides a simple, effective and practical way of aggregating multiple fuzzy preference relations in real-life situations.  相似文献

To express uncertain information in decision making, triangular fuzzy reciprocal preference relations (TFRPRs) might be adopted by decision makers. Considering consistency of this type of preference relations, this paper defines a new additive consistency concept, which can be seen as an extension of that for reciprocal preference relations. Then, a simple method to calculate the triangular fuzzy priority weight vector is introduced. When TFRPRs are inconsistent, a linear goal programming framework to derive the completely additive consistent TFRPRs is provided. Meanwhile, an improved linear goal programming model is constructed to estimate the missing values in an incomplete TFRPR that can address the situation where ignored objects exist. After that, an algorithm for decision making with TFRPRs is presented. Finally, numerical examples and comparison analysis are offered.  相似文献
