In this paper, we study the long-time behavior of solutions for m-Laplacian parabolic equation in Ω×(0,∞) with the initial data u(x,0)=u0(x)∈Lq, q?1, and zero boundary condition in ∂Ω. Two cases for a(x)?a0>0 and a(x)?0 are considered. We obtain the existence and Lp estimate of global attractor A in Lp, for any p?max{1,q}. The attractor A is in fact a bounded set in if a(x)?a0>0 in Ω, and A is bounded in if a(x)?0 in Ω.  相似文献

We study boundary trace embedding theorems for variable exponent Sobolev space W1,p(⋅)(Ω). Let Ω be an open (bounded or unbounded) domain in RN satisfying strong local Lipschitz condition. Under the hypotheses that pL(Ω), 1?infp(x)?supp(x)<N, |∇p|∈Lγ(⋅)(Ω), where γL(Ω) and infγ(x)>N, we prove that there is a continuous boundary trace embedding W1,p(⋅)(Ω)→Lq(⋅)(∂Ω) provided q(⋅), a measurable function on ∂Ω, satisfies condition for x∈∂Ω.  相似文献

In this paper we establish existence-uniqueness of solution of a class of singular boundary value problem −(p(x)y(x))=q(x)f(x,y) for 0<x?b and y(0)=a, α1y(b)+β1y(b)=γ1, where p(x) satisfies (i) p(x)>0 in (0,b), (ii) p(x)∈C1(0,r), and for some r>b, (iii) is analytic in and q(x) satisfies (i) q(x)>0 in (0,b), (ii) q(x)∈L1(0,b) and for some r>b, (iii) is analytic in with quite general conditions on f(x,y). There are only very few results on the existence of unique local in time strong solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations for completely general domains ΩR3, although domains with edges and corners, bounded or unbounded, are very important in applications. The reason is that the Lq-theory for the Stokes operator A is available in general only in the Hilbert space setting, i.e., with q=2. Our main result for a general domain Ω is optimal in a certain sense: Consider an initial value and a zero external force. Then the condition is sufficient and necessary for the existence of a unique local strong solution uL8(0,T;L4(Ω)) in some interval [0,T), 0<T, with u(0)=u0, satisfying Serrin’s condition . Note that Fujita-Kato’s sufficient condition u0D(A1/4) is strictly stronger and therefore not optimal.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of finding positive solutions of the equation −Δu+(a+a(x))u=|u|q−2u, where q is subcritical, Ω is either RN or an unbounded domain which is periodic in the first p coordinates and whose complement is contained in a cylinder , a>0, aC(RN,R) is periodic in the first p coordinates, infxRN(a+a(x))>0 and a(x,x)→0 as |x|→∞ uniformly in x. We consider the Dirichlet problem with nonlocal coefficient given by in a bounded, smooth domain ΩRn (n?2), where Δp is the p-Laplacian, w is a weight function and the nonlinearity f(u) satisfies certain local bounds. In contrast with the hypotheses usually made, no asymptotic behavior is assumed on f. We assume that the nonlocal coefficient (q?1) is defined by a continuous and nondecreasing function satisfying a(t)>0 for t>0 and a(0)?0. A positive solution is obtained by applying the Schauder Fixed Point Theorem. The case a(t)=tγ/q (0<γ<p−1) will be considered as an example where asymptotic conditions on the nonlinearity provide the existence of a sequence of positive solutions for the problem with arbitrarily large sup norm.  相似文献

Let M be a compact Riemannian manifold without boundary. Consider the porous media equation , u(0)=u0Lq, ? being the Laplace-Beltrami operator. Then, if q?2∨(m-1), the associated evolution is Lq-L regularizing at any time t>0 and the bound ‖u(t)‖?C(u0)/tβ holds for t<1 for suitable explicit C(u0),γ. For large t it is shown that, for general initial data, u(t) approaches its time-independent mean with quantitative bounds on the rate of convergence. Similar bounds are valid when the manifold is not compact, but u(t) approaches u≡0 with different asymptotics. The case of manifolds with boundary and homogeneous Dirichlet, or Neumann, boundary conditions, is treated as well. The proof stems from a new connection between logarithmic Sobolev inequalities and the contractivity properties of the nonlinear evolutions considered, and is therefore applicable to a more abstract setting.  相似文献

We prove existence and establish the asymptotic behavior, as ε→0, of stable stationary solutions to the equation ut=ε∇·[d(x)∇u]+(1−u2)[ua(x)], for , where , N?2, with Neumann boundary condition. The function a(x)∈C0,ν(Ω) satisfies −1<a(x)<1 and vanishes on some hypersurfaces. The results generalize to N-dimensional domains and to variable diffusivity earlier paper by Angenent et al. (J. We study scalar conservation laws with nonlinear diffusion and nonlinear dispersion terms (any ??1), the flux function f(u) being mth order growth at infinity. It is shown that if ε, δ=δ(ε) tend to 0, then the sequence {uε} of the smooth solutions converges to the unique entropy solution uL(0,T;Lq(R)) to the conservation law ut+fx(u)=0 in . The proof relies on the methods of compensated compactness, Young measures and entropy measure-valued solutions. Some new a priori estimates are carried out. In particular, our result includes the convergence result by Schonbek when b(λ)=λ, ?=1 and LeFloch and Natalini when ?=1.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the semilinear elliptic problem Δu=a(x)f(u), u?0 in Ω, with the boundary blow-up condition u|Ω=+∞, where Ω is a bounded domain in RN(N?2), a(x)∈C(Ω) may blow up on ∂Ω and f is assumed to satisfy (f1) and (f2) below which include the sublinear case f(u)=um, m∈(0,1). For the radial case that Ω=B (the unit ball) and a(x) is radial, we show that a solution exists if and only if . For Ω a general domain, we obtain an optimal nonexistence result. The existence of local (in time) solutions of the initial-boundary value problem for the following degenerate parabolic equation: ut(x,t)−Δpu(x,t)−|u|q−2u(x,t)=f(x,t), (x,t)∈Ω×(0,T), where 2?p<q<+∞, Ω is a bounded domain in RN, is given and Δp denotes the so-called p-Laplacian defined by Δpu:=∇⋅(|∇u|p−2u), with initial data u0Lr(Ω) is proved under r>N(qp)/p without imposing any smallness on u0 and f. To this end, the above problem is reduced into the Cauchy problem for an evolution equation governed by the difference of two subdifferential operators in a reflexive Banach space, and the theory of subdifferential operators and potential well method are employed to establish energy estimates. Particularly, Lr-estimates of solutions play a crucial role to construct a time-local solution and reveal the dependence of the time interval [0,T0] in which the problem admits a solution.
