Some Notes on M-hyponormal Weighted Shifts and Hyponormalizable Weighted Shifts

Let {an}∞n=0be a weight sequence and let W denote the associated unilateral weighted shift on H. In this paper, we consider the connection between the M-hyponormal and hyponormalizable weighted shift operator. Main results are Theorems 4.1 and Theorems4.2. Theorem 4.1 gives the sufficient condition that a weighted shifts M-hyponormal operator is hyponormalizable. Theorem 4.2 gives the sufficient condition that a hyponormalizable weighted shift operator is M-hyponormal. Finally, invariant subspaces of such operators are discussed.

Maximal Dimension of Invariant Subspaces to Systems of Nonlinear Evolution Equations

In this paper,the dimension of invariant subspaces admitted by nonlinear systems is estimated under certain conditions.It is shown that if the two-component nonlinear vector differential operator F=(F 1,F 2) with orders {k 1,k 2 } (k 1 ≥ k 2) preserves the invariant subspace W 1 n 1 × W 2 n 2 (n 1 ≥ n 2),then n 1 n 2 ≤ k 2,n 1 ≤ 2(k 1 + k 2) + 1,where W q n q is the space generated by solutions of a linear ordinary differential equation of order n q (q=1,2).Several examples including the (1+1)-dimensional diffusion system and Ito 's type,Drinfel'd-Sokolov-Wilson's type and Whitham-Broer-Kaup's type equations are presented to illustrate the result.Furthermore,the estimate of dimension for m-component nonlinear systems is also given.

We consider the weighted composition operators between Hardy spaces on the unit ball, and obtain some sufficient and necessary conditions of bounded or compact weighted composition operators. We also prove that the operator from H1 to H1 is compact if and only if it is weakly compact. Meanwhile, we get the analogue on the Bergman spaces.

In this paper, we investigate the boundedness of the operator T~b on the weighted Morrey space when b belongs to the weighted BMO space.

In this paper, among other things, the author studies the weak^＊-closed left translation invariant complemented subspace of semigroup algebras and group algebras. Also, the author studies the relationships between projections and amenability.

本文研究了不定度规空间空间中的无穷维Hamilton算子.利用Plus算子存在极大不变子空间的性质,获得了无穷维Hamilton算子在Krein空间中存在极大确定不变子空间的充分条件.     

Invariant subspaces of positive strictly singular operators on Banach lattices

It is shown that every positive strictly singular operator T on a Banach lattice satisfying certain conditions is AM-compact and has invariant subspaces. Moreover, every positive operator commuting with T has an invariant subspace. It is also proved that on such spaces the product of a disjointly strictly singular and a regular AM-compact operator is strictly singular. Finally, we prove that on these spaces the known invariant subspace results for compact-friendly operators can be extended to strictly singular-friendly operators.     

A characteristic operator function for the class of n-hypercontractions

We consider a class of bounded linear operators on Hilbert space called n-hypercontractions which relates naturally to adjoint shift operators on certain vector-valued standard weighted Bergman spaces on the unit disc. In the context of n-hypercontractions in the class C0⋅ we introduce a counterpart to the so-called characteristic operator function for a contraction operator. This generalized characteristic operator function Wn,T is an operator-valued analytic function in the unit disc whose values are operators between two Hilbert spaces of defect type. Using an operator-valued function of the form Wn,T, we parametrize the wandering subspace for a general shift invariant subspace of the corresponding vector-valued standard weighted Bergman space. The operator-valued analytic function Wn,T is shown to act as a contractive multiplier from the Hardy space into the associated standard weighted Bergman space.

On invariant subspaces for polynomially bounded operators

We discuss the invariant subspace problem of polynomially bounded operators on a Banach space and obtain an invariant subspace theorem for polynomially bounded operators. At the same time, we state two open problems, which are relative propositions of this invariant subspace theorem. By means of the two relative propositions (if they are true), together with the result of this paper and the result of C.Ambrozie and V.Müller (2004) one can obtain an important conclusion that every polynomially bounded operator on a Banach space whose spectrum contains the unit circle has a nontrivial invariant closed subspace. This conclusion can generalize remarkably the famous result that every contraction on a Hilbert space whose spectrum contains the unit circle has a nontrivial invariant closed subspace (1988 and 1997).     

Backward Aluthge Iterates of a Hyponormal Operator Have Scalar Extensions

The backward Aluthge iterate (defined below) of a hyponormal operator was initiated in [11]. In this paper we characterize the backward Aluthge iterate of a weighted shift. Also we show that the backward Aluthge iterate of a hyponormal operator has an analogue of the single valued extension property for . Finally, we show that backward Aluthge iterates of a hyponormal operator have scalar extensions. As a corollary, we get that the backward Aluthge iterate of a hyponormal operator has a nontrivial invariant subspace if its spectrum has interior in the plane.     

Dissipative operators in the Krein space. Invariant subspaces and properties of restrictions

We prove that a dissipative operator in the Krein space has a maximal nonnegative invariant subspace provided that the operator admits matrix representation with respect to the canonical decomposition of the space and the upper right operator in this representation is compact relative to the lower right operator. Under the additional assumption that the upper and lower left operators are bounded (the so-called Langer condition), this result was proved (in increasing order of generality) by Pontryagin, Krein, Langer, and Azizov. We relax the Langer condition essentially and prove under the new assumptions that a maximal dissipative operator in the Krein space has a maximal nonnegative invariant subspace such that the spectrum of its restriction to this subspace lies in the left half-plane. Sufficient conditions are found for this restriction to be the generator of a holomorphic semigroup or a C ₀-semigroup.
