In this paper, we study limit cycle bifurcations for a kind of non-smooth polynomial differential systems by perturbing a piecewise linear Hamiltonian system with the center at the origin and a homoclinic loop around the origin. By using the first Melnikov function of piecewise near-Hamiltonian systems, we give lower bounds of the maximal number of limit cycles in Hopf and homoclinic bifurcations, and derive an upper bound of the number of limit cycles that bifurcate from the periodic annulus between the center and the homoclinic loop up to the first order in εε. In the case when the degree of perturbing terms is low, we obtain a precise result on the number of zeros of the first Melnikov function.  相似文献

This paper investigates both homoclinic bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation which occur concurrently in a class of planar perturbed discontinuous systems of Filippov type. Firstly, based on a geometrical interpretation and a new analysis of the so-called successive function, sufficient conditions are proposed for the existence and stability of homoclinic orbit of unperturbed systems. Then, with the discussion about Poincaré map, bifurcation analyses of homoclinic orbit and parabolic–parabolic (PP) type pseudo-focus are presented. It is shown that two limit cycles can appear from the two different kinds of bifurcation in planar Filippov systems.  相似文献

In this article we discuss some qualitative and geometric aspects of non-smooth dynamical systems theory. Our goal is to study the diagram bifurcation of typical singularities that occur generically in one parameter families of certain piecewise smooth vector fields named Refracted Systems. Such systems has a codimension-one submanifold as its discontinuity set.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a method of higher-order analysis on bifurcation of small limit cycles around an elementary center of integrable systems under perturbations. This method is equivalent to higher-order Melinikov function approach used for studying bifurcation of limit cycles around a center but simpler. Attention is focused on planar cubic polynomial systems and particularly it is shown that the system studied by ?o?a?dek (1995) [24] can indeed have eleven limit cycles under perturbations at least up to 7th order. Moreover, the pattern of numbers of limit cycles produced near the center is discussed up to 39th-order perturbations, and no more than eleven limit cycles are found.  相似文献

The generic isolated bifurcations for one-parameter families of smooth planar vector fields {Xμ} which give rise to periodic orbits are: the Andronov-Hopf bifurcation, the bifurcation from a semi-stable periodic orbit, the saddle-node loop bifurcation and the saddle loop bifurcation. In this paper we obtain the dominant term of the asymptotic behaviour of the period of the limit cycles appearing in each of these bifurcations in terms of μ when we are near the bifurcation. The method used to study the first two bifurcations is also used to solve the same problem in another two situations: a generalization of the Andronov-Hopf bifurcation to vector fields starting with a special monodromic jet; and the Hopf bifurcation at infinity for families of polynomial vector fields.  相似文献

In this paper we establish bifurcation theory of limit cycles for planar Ck smooth autonomous differential systems, with kN. The key point is to study the smoothness of bifurcation functions which are basic and important tool on the study of Hopf bifurcation at a fine focus or a center, and of Poincaré bifurcation in a period annulus. We especially study the smoothness of the first order Melnikov function in degenerate Hopf bifurcation at an elementary center. As we know, the smoothness problem was solved for analytic and C differential systems, but it was not tackled for finitely smooth differential systems. Here, we present their optimal regularity of these bifurcation functions and their asymptotic expressions in the finite smooth case.  相似文献

For real planar polynomial differential systems there appeared a simple version of the 16th Hilbert problem on algebraic limit cycles: Is there an upper bound on the number of algebraic limit cycles of all polynomial vector fields of degree m? In [J. Llibre, R. Ramírez, N. Sadovskaia, On the 16th Hilbert problem for algebraic limit cycles, J. Differential Equations 248 (2010) 1401-1409] Llibre, Ramírez and Sadovskaia solved the problem, providing an exact upper bound, in the case of invariant algebraic curves generic for the vector fields, and they posed the following conjecture: Is1+(m−1)(m−2)/2the maximal number of algebraic limit cycles that a polynomial vector field of degree m can have?In this paper we will prove this conjecture for planar polynomial vector fields having only nodal invariant algebraic curves. This result includes the Llibre et al.?s as a special one. For the polynomial vector fields having only non-dicritical invariant algebraic curves we answer the simple version of the 16th Hilbert problem.  相似文献

We introduce a class of differential equations on variable   time scales with a transition condition between two consecutive parts of the scale. Conditions for existence and uniqueness of solutions are obtained. Periodicity, boundedness and stability of solutions are considered. The method of investigation is by means of two successive reductions: BB-equivalence of the system [E. Akalín, M.U. Akhmet, The principles of B-smooth discontinuous flows, Computers and Mathematics with Applications 49 (2005) 981–995; M.U. Akhmet, Perturbations and Hopf bifurcation of the planar discontinuous dynamical system, Nonlinear Analysis 60 (2005) 163–178; M.U. Akhmet, N.A. Perestyuk, The comparison method for differential equations with impulse action, Differential Equations 26 (9) (1990) 1079–1086] on a variable time scale to a system on a time scale, a reduction to an impulsive differential equation [M.U. Akhmet, Perturbations and Hopf bifurcation of the planar discontinuous dynamical system, Nonlinear Analysis 60 (2005) 163–178; M.U. Akhmet, M. Turan, The differential equations on time scales through impulsive differential equations, Nonlinear Analysis 65 (2006) 2043–2060]. Appropriate examples are constructed to illustrate the theory.  相似文献

The Bogdanov–Takens system has at most one limit cycle and, in the parameter space, it exists between a Hopf and a saddle-loop bifurcation curves. The aim of this paper is to prove the Perko?s conjectures about some analytic properties of the saddle-loop bifurcation curve. Moreover, we provide sharp piecewise algebraic upper and lower bounds for this curve.  相似文献

For a germ of analytic vector fields, the existence of first integrals, resonance and the convergence of normalization transforming the vector field to a normal form are closely related. In this paper we first provide a link between the number of first integrals and the resonant relations for a quasi-periodic vector field, which generalizes one of the Poincaré's classical results [H. Poincaré, Sur l'intégration des équations différentielles du premier order et du premier degré I and II, Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo 5 (1891) 161-191; 11 (1897) 193-239] on autonomous systems and Theorem 5 of [Weigu Li, J. Llibre, Xiang Zhang, Local first integrals of differential systems and diffeomorphism, Z. Angew. Math. Phys. 54 (2003) 235-255] on periodic systems. Then in the space of analytic autonomous systems in C2n with exactly n resonances and n functionally independent first integrals, our results are related to the convergence and generic divergence of the normalizations. Lastly for a planar Hamiltonian system it is well known that the system has an isochronous center if and only if it can be linearizable in a neighborhood of the center. Using the Euler-Lagrange equation we provide a new approach to its proof.  相似文献

The paper deals with planar slow-fast cycles containing a unique generic turning point. We address the question on how to study canard cycles when the slow dynamics can be singular at the turning point. We more precisely accept a generic saddle-node bifurcation to pass through the turning point. It reveals that in this case the slow divergence integral is no longer the good tool to use, but its derivative with respect to the layer variable still is. We provide general results as well as a number of applications. We show how to treat the open problems presented in Artés et al. (2009) [1] and Dumortier and Rousseau (2009) [13], dealing respectively with the graphics DI2a and DF1a from Dumortier et al. (1994) [14].  相似文献

This paper deals with local bifurcations occurring near singular points of planar slow-fast systems. In particular, it is concerned with the study of the slow-fast variant of the unfolding of a codimension 3 nilpotent singularity. The slow-fast variant of a codimension 1 Hopf bifurcation has been studied extensively before and its study has lead to the notion of canard cycles in the Van der Pol system. Similarly, codimension 2 slow-fast Bogdanov–Takens bifurcations have been characterized. Here, the singularity is of codimension 3 and we distinguish slow-fast elliptic and slow-fast saddle bifurcations. We focus our study on the appearance on small-amplitude limit cycles, and rely on techniques from geometric singular perturbation theory and blow-up.  相似文献

We investigate a generalized Hopf bifurcation emerged from a corner located at the origin which is the intersection of nn discontinuity boundaries in planar piecewise smooth dynamical systems with the Jacobian matrix of each smooth subsystem having either two different nonzero real eigenvalues or a pair of complex conjugate eigenvalues. We obtain a novel result that the generalized Hopf bifurcation can occur even when the Jacobian matrix of each smooth subsystem has two different nonzero real eigenvalues. According to the eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrices and the number of smooth subsystems, we provide a general method and prove some generalized Hopf bifurcation theorems by studying the associated Poincaré map.  相似文献

In this paper, we make a complete study on small perturbations of Hamiltonian vector field with a hyper-elliptic Hamiltonian of degree five, which is a Liénard system of the form x=y, y=Q1(x)+εyQ2(x) with Q1 and Q2 polynomials of degree respectively 4 and 3. It is shown that this system can undergo degenerated Hopf bifurcation and Poincaré bifurcation, which emerges at most three limit cycles in the plane for sufficiently small positive ε. And the limit cycles can encompass only an equilibrium inside, i.e. the configuration (3,0) of limit cycles can appear for some values of parameters, where (3,0) stands for three limit cycles surrounding an equilibrium and no limit cycles surrounding two equilibria.  相似文献

In this paper, a Z4-equivariant quintic planar vector field is studied. The Hopf bifurcation method and polycycle bifurcation method are combined to study the limit cycles bifurcated from the compounded cycle with 4 hyperbolic saddle points. It is found that this special quintic planar polynomial system has at least four large limit cycles which surround all singular points. By applying the double homoclinic loops bifurcation method and Hopf bifurcation method, we conclude that 28 limit cycles with two different configurations exist in this special planar polynomial system. The results acquired in this paper are useful for studying the weakened 16th Hilbert's Problem.  相似文献

Sufficient conditions of bifurcation stated in Arutyunov et al. (2009) [5] are investigated in order to reconsider celebrated Hopf bifurcation as the simplest bifurcation of Fredholm operators of zero index. In several examples abstract result is applied to both finite and infinite dynamical systems exhibiting classical Hopf bifurcation as well as double Hopf bifurcation.  相似文献

Denote by QH and QR the Hamiltonian class and reversible class of quadratic integrable systems. There are several topological types for systems belong to QHQR. One of them is the case that the corresponding system has two heteroclinic loops, sharing one saddle-connection, which is a line segment, and the other part of the loops is an ellipse. In this paper we prove that the maximal number of limit cycles, which bifurcate from the loops with respect to quadratic perturbations in a conic neighborhood of the direction transversal to reversible systems (called in reversible direction), is two. We also give the corresponding bifurcation diagram.  相似文献

In this paper four-parameter unfoldings Xλ of symmetric elliptic Hamiltonians of degree four are studied. We prove that in a compact region of the period annulus of X0 the displacement function of Xλ is sign equivalent to its principal part, which is given by a family induced by a Chebychev system; and we describe the bifurcation diagram of Xλ in a full neighborhood of the origin in the parameter space, where at most two limit cycles can exist for the corresponding systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we pay attention to the number of limit cycles for a class of piecewise smooth near-Hamiltonian systems. By using the expression of the first order Melnikov function and some known results about Chebyshev systems, we study upper bound of the number of limit cycles in Hopf bifurcation and Poincar\''{e} bifurcation respectively.  相似文献
