We consider the Markov chain ${\{X_n^x\}_{n=0}^\infty}$ on ${\mathbb{R}^d}$ defined by the stochastic recursion ${X_{n}^{x}= \psi_{\theta_{n}} (X_{n-1}^{x})}$ , starting at ${x\in\mathbb{R}^d}$ , where ?? 1, ?? 2, . . . are i.i.d. random variables taking their values in a metric space ${(\Theta, \mathfrak{r})}$ , and ${\psi_{\theta_{n}} :\mathbb{R}^d\mapsto\mathbb{R}^d}$ are Lipschitz maps. Assume that the Markov chain has a unique stationary measure ??. Under appropriate assumptions on ${\psi_{\theta_n}}$ , we will show that the measure ?? has a heavy tail with the exponent ???>?0 i.e. ${\nu(\{x\in\mathbb{R}^d: |x| > t\})\asymp t^{-\alpha}}$ . Using this result we show that properly normalized Birkhoff sums ${S_n^x=\sum_{k=1}^n X_k^x}$ , converge in law to an ??-stable law for ${\alpha\in(0, 2]}$ .  相似文献

In the moduli space ${{\mathcal {H}}_g}$ of normalized translation surfaces of genus g, consider, for a small parameter ρ > 0, those translation surfaces which have two non-parallel saddle-connections of length ? ρ. We prove that this subset of ${{\mathcal {H}}_g}$ has measure o(ρ 2) w.r.t. any probability measure on ${{\mathcal {H}}_g}$ which is invariant under the natural action of ${SL(2,\mathbb{R})}$ . This implies that any such probability measure is regular, a property which is important in relation with the recent fundamental work of Eskin–Kontsevich–Zorich on the Lyapunov exponents of the KZ-cocycle.  相似文献

We obtain several rigidity results for biharmonic submanifolds in $\mathbb{S}^{n}$ with parallel normalized mean curvature vector fields. We classify biharmonic submanifolds in $\mathbb{S}^{n}$ with parallel normalized mean curvature vector fields and with at most two distinct principal curvatures. In particular, we determine all biharmonic surfaces with parallel normalized mean curvature vector fields in $\mathbb{S}^{n}$ . Then we investigate, for (not necessarily compact) proper-biharmonic submanifolds in $\mathbb{S}^{n}$ , their type in the sense of B.-Y. Chen. We prove that (i) a proper-biharmonic submanifold in $\mathbb{S}^{n}$ is of 1-type or 2-type if and only if it has constant mean curvature f=1 or f∈(0,1), respectively; and (ii) there are no proper-biharmonic 3-type submanifolds with parallel normalized mean curvature vector fields in $\mathbb{S}^{n}$ .  相似文献

Parseval frames have particularly useful properties, and in some cases, they can be used to reconstruct signals which were analyzed by a non-Parseval frame. In this paper, we completely describe the degree to which such reconstruction is feasible. Indeed, notice that for fixed frames \({\mathcal{F}}\) and \({\mathcal{X}}\) with synthesis operators F and X, the operator norm of FX ??I measures the (normalized) worst-case error in the reconstruction of vectors when analyzed with \({\mathcal{X}}\) and synthesized with \({\mathcal{F}}\) . Hence, for any given frame \({\mathcal{F}}\) , we compute explicitly the infimum of the operator norm of FX ??I, where \({\mathcal{X}}\) is any Parseval frame. The \({\mathcal{X}}\) ’s that minimize this quantity are called Parseval quasi-dual frames of \({\mathcal{F}}\) . Our treatment considers both finite and infinite Parseval quasi-dual frames.  相似文献

We will prove a decomposition for Wasserstein geodesics in the following sense: let (X, d, m) be a non-branching metric measure space verifying ${\mathsf{CD}_{loc}(K,N)}$ or equivalently ${\mathsf{CD}^{*}(K,N)}$ . We prove that every geodesic ${\mu_{t}}$ in the L 2-Wasserstein space, with ${\mu_{t} \ll m}$ , is decomposable as the product of two densities, one corresponding to a geodesic with support of codimension one verifying ${\mathsf{CD}^{*}(K,N-1)}$ , and the other associated with a precise one dimensional measure, provided the length map enjoys local Lipschitz regularity. The motivation for our decomposition is in the use of the component evolving like ${\mathsf{CD}^{*}}$ in the globalization problem. For a particular class of optimal transportation we prove the linearity in time of the other component, obtaining therefore the global ${\mathsf{CD}(K,N)}$ for ${\mu_{t}}$ . The result can be therefore interpret as a globalization theorem for ${\mathsf{CD}(K,N)}$ for this class of optimal transportation, or as a “self-improving property” for ${\mathsf{CD}^{*}(K,N)}$ . Assuming more regularity, namely in the setting of infinitesimally strictly convex metric measure space, the one dimensional density is the product of two differentials giving more insight on the density decomposition.  相似文献

We prove that, for every $\alpha > -1$ , the pull-back measure $\varphi ({\mathcal A }_\alpha )$ of the measure $d{\mathcal A }_\alpha (z) = (\alpha + 1) (1 - |z|^2)^\alpha \, d{\mathcal A } (z)$ , where ${\mathcal A }$ is the normalized area measure on the unit disk $\mathbb D $ , by every analytic self-map $\varphi :\mathbb D \rightarrow \mathbb D $ is not only an $(\alpha \,{+}\, 2)$ -Carleson measure, but that the measure of the Carleson windows of size $\varepsilon h$ is controlled by $\varepsilon ^{\alpha + 2}$ times the measure of the corresponding window of size $h$ . This means that the property of being an $(\alpha + 2)$ -Carleson measure is true at all infinitesimal scales. We give an application by characterizing the compactness of composition operators on weighted Bergman–Orlicz spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the Hyers–Ulam stability theorem when \({f, g, h : \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}}\) satisfy $$|f(x + y) - g(x) - h(y)| \leq \epsilon$$ in a set \({\Gamma \subset \mathbb{R}^{2}}\) of measure \({m(\Gamma) = 0}\) , which refines a previous result in Chung (Aequat Math 83:313–320, 2012) and gives an affirmative answer to the question in the paper. As a direct consequence we obtain that if \({f, g, h : \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}}\) satisfy the Pexider equation $$f(x + y) - g(x) - h(y) = 0$$ in \({\Gamma}\) , then the equation holds for all \({x, y \in \mathbb{R}}\) . Using our method of construction of the set, we can find a set \({\Gamma \subset \mathbb{R}^{2n}}\) of 2n-dimensional measure 0 and obtain the above result for the functions \({f, g, h : \mathbb{R}^{n} \to \mathbb{C}}\) .  相似文献

For a Dirac operator $D_{\bar{g}}$ over a spin compact Riemannian manifold with boundary $(\bar{X},\bar{g})$ , we give a new construction of the Calderón projector on $\partial\bar{X}$ and of the associated Bergman projector on the space of L 2 harmonic spinors on $\bar{X}$ , and we analyze their Schwartz kernels. Our approach is based on the conformal covariance of $D_{\bar{g}}$ and the scattering theory for the Dirac operator associated with the complete conformal metric $g=\bar{g}/\rho^{2}$ where ρ is a smooth function on $\bar{X}$ which equals the distance to the boundary near $\partial\bar{X}$ . We show that $\frac{1}{2}(\operatorname{Id}+\tilde{S}(0))$ is the orthogonal Calderón projector, where $\tilde{S}(\lambda)$ is the holomorphic family in {?(λ)≥0} of normalized scattering operators constructed in Guillarmou et al. (Adv. Math., 225(5):2464–2516, 2010), which are classical pseudo-differential of order 2λ. Finally, we construct natural conformally covariant odd powers of the Dirac operator on any compact spin manifold.  相似文献

We study rigidity properties of lattices in $\operatorname {Isom}(\mathbf {H}^{n})\simeq \mathrm {SO}_{n,1}({\mathbb{R}})$ , n≥3, and of surface groups in $\operatorname {Isom}(\mathbf {H}^{2})\simeq \mathrm {SL}_{2}({\mathbb{R}})$ in the context of integrable measure equivalence. The results for lattices in $\operatorname {Isom}(\mathbf {H}^{n})$ , n≥3, are generalizations of Mostow rigidity; they include a cocycle version of strong rigidity and an integrable measure equivalence classification. Despite the lack of Mostow rigidity for n=2 we show that cocompact lattices in $\operatorname {Isom}(\mathbf {H}^{2})$ allow a similar integrable measure equivalence classification.  相似文献

In this paper, following our previous studies, we investigate the renewal rewards process with respect to the necessity, credibility, chance measure and the expected value in which the random inter-arrival times and random rewards are characterized as weighted fuzzy numbers under \(t\) -norm-based fuzzy operations on \(\mathbb {R}^{p}\) and \(\mathbb {R}^{q}\,\,p,\,q \ge 1,\) respectively. Many versions of \(T\) -related fuzzy renewal rewards theorems are proved by using the law of large numbers for weighted fuzzy variables on \(\mathbb {R}^{p}\) . An application example is provided to illustrate the utility of the results.  相似文献
