In this paper, we introduce the concept of well-posedness for general variational inequalities and obtain some results under pseudomonotonicity. It is well known that monotonicity implies pseudomonotonicity, but the converse is not true. In this respect, our results represent an improvement and refinement of the previous known results. Since the general variational inequalities include (quasi) variational inequalities and complementarity problems as special cases, results obtained in this paper continue to hold for these problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of generalized vector variational inequalities and complementarity problems for multivalued mappings. We prove the existence of solutions for this kind of vector variational inequality and discuss the relations between the solutions of the generalized vector variational inequalities and the solutions of generalized vector complementarity problems in Hausdorff topological vector spaces. In this paper, we consider some classes of merit functions for general variational inequalities. Using these functions, we obtain error bounds for the solution of general variational inequalities under some mild conditions. Since the general variational inequalities include variational inequalities, quasivariational inequalities and complementarity problems as special cases, results proved in this paper hold for these problems. In this respect, results obtained in this paper represent a refinement of previously known results for classical variational inequalities.  相似文献

Some existence results for generalized variational inequalities and generalized complementarity problems involving quasimonotone and pseudomonotone set-valued mappings in reflexive Banach spaces are proved. In particular, some known results for nonlinear variational inequalities and complementarity problems in finite-dimensional and infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces are generalized to quasimonotone and pseudomonotone set-valued mappings and reflexive Banach spaces. Application to a class of generalized nonlinear complementarity problems studied as mathematical models for mechanical problems is given.The research of the first author was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of P. This paper introduces a new concept of exceptional family for variational inequality problems with a general convex constrained set. By using this new concept, the authors establish a general sufficient condition for the existence of a solution to the problem. This condition is weaker than many known solution conditions and it is also necessary for pseudomonotone variational inequalities. Suffi-cient solution conditions for a class of nonlinear complementarity problems with Po mappings are also obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new class of generalized implicit vector variational-like inequalities in Hausdorff topological vector spaces and Banach spaces which contain implicit vector equilibrium problems, implicit vector variational inequalities and implicit vector complementarity problems as special cases. We derive some new results by using the KKM–Fan theorem, under compact and noncompact assumptions on underlying convex sets.  相似文献

In this paper, we present some merit functions for general mixed quasi-variational inequalities, and we obtain the equivalent optimization problems to general mixed quasi-variational inequalities. Since the general mixed quasi-variational inequalities include general variational inequalities, quasi-variational inequalities and nonlinear (implicit) complementarity problems as special cases, our results continue to hold for these problems. In this respect, results obtained in this paper represent an extension of previously known results.  相似文献

Computational formulae for scalar derivatives of mappings and pairs of mappings in the direction of a set will be given. These formulae are very important for explicitly verifying conditions of existence for fixed point theorems, surjectivity theorems, integral equations, variational inequalities and complementarity problems under additional differentiability conditions. To emphasize this idea at the end of the paper we give an application to complementarity problems. Some theorems which extend the correspondence between monotone mappings and scalar derivatives from Euclidean spaces to Hilbert spaces will also be given.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study a generalized class of vector implicit quasi complementarity problem and the corresponding vector implicit quasi variational inequality problem. By using Fan-KKM theorem, we derive existence of solutions of generalized vector implicit quasi variational inequalities without any monotonicity assumption and establish the equivalence between those problems in Banach spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, vector complementarity problems are introduced as weak versions of vector variational inequalities in ordered Banach spaces. New dual cones are introduced and proved to be closed. In the sense of efficient point, we prove that the minimal element problem is solvable if a vector variational inequality is solvable; we also prove that any solution of a strong vector variational inequality or positive vector complementarity problem is a solution of the minimal element problem.This work was done while the author was with the Chongqing Institute of Architecture and Engineering, Chongqing, P. By using the concept of exceptional family of elements, Zhao proposed a new existence theorem for variational inequalities over a general nonempty closed convex set (Ref. 1, Theorem 2.3), which is a generalization of the well-known Moré's existence theorem for nonlinear complementarity problems. The proof of Theorem 2.3 in Ref. 1 depends strongly on the condition 0∈K. Since this condition is rather strict for a general variational inequality, Zhao proposed an open question at the end of Ref. 1: Can the condition 0∈K in Theorem 2.3 be removed? In this paper, we answer this open question. Furthermore, we present the new notion of exceptional family of elements and establish a theorem of the alternative, by which we develop two new existence theorems for variational inequalities. Our results generalize the Zhao existence result.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the nonemptiness and boundedness of solution set for a generalized mixed variational inequality with strict feasibility in reflexive Banach spaces. A concept of strict feasibility for the generalized mixed variational inequality is introduced, which recovers the existing concepts of strict feasibility for variational inequalities and complementarity problems. By using the equivalence characterization of nonemptiness and boundedness of the solution set for the generalized mixed variational inequality due to Zhong and Huang (J. Optim. Theory Appl. 147:454–472, 2010), it is proved that the generalized mixed variational inequality problem has a nonempty bounded solution set is equivalent to its strict feasibility.  相似文献

In several recent papers we obtained existence theorems for complementarity problems and variational inequalities using for each of them a particular notion of exceptional family of elements. Now, in this paper we introduce a new notion of exceptional family of elements. This notion is based on an Implicit Leray-Schauder Alternative. By this new notion we obtain a unification of the study of solvability of complementarity problems and of variational inequalities. The paper is finished with a section dedicated to variational inequalities with δ-pseudomonotone operators.  相似文献

For variational inequalities characterizing saddle points of Lagrangians associated with convex programming problems in Hilbert spaces, the convergence of an interior proximal method based on Bregman distance functionals is studied. The convergence results admit a successive approximation of the variational inequality and an inexact treatment of the proximal iterations.An analogous analysis is performed for finite-dimensional complementarity problems with multi-valued monotone operators.  相似文献

In this paper, two vector implicit variational inequalities and three vector implicit complementarity problems are introduced with a more general order in ordered Banach spaces and the equivalence between them is studied under certain assumptions. Furthermore, some existence theorems of the vector implicit variational inequalities are proved. We answered the open question proposed by Rapcsák [Nonconvex Optim., Appl., Vol. 38, Kluwer Acad. Publ., Dordrecht, 2000, pp. 371–380]. In this paper, we introduce a new system of general variational inequalities in Banach spaces. We establish the equivalence between this system of variational inequalities and fixed point problems involving the nonexpansive mapping. This alternative equivalent formulation is used to suggest and analyze a modified extragradient method for solving the system of general variational inequalities. Using the demi-closedness principle for nonexpansive mappings, we prove the strong convergence of the proposed iterative method under some suitable conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study a class of implicit vector equilibrium problems, which includes a number of (scalar) implicit equilibrium problems, implicit variational inequalities, and implicit complementarity problems as special cases. By using KKM-Fan theorem, we prove some new existence theorems of solutions for this kind of implicit vector equilibrium problems in Hausdorff topological vector spaces. In this paper, we derive an existence result for generalized variational inequalities associated with multivalued mappings on weakly compact sets under a continuity assumption which is much weaker than the regular complete continuity. As an application, we prove the existence of exceptional families of elements for such mappings on closed convex cones in reflexive Banach spaces when the corresponding complementarity problems have no solutions.  相似文献

The fixed point technique is used to prove the existence of a solution for a class of variational inequalities related with odd order boundary value problems and to suggest a general algorithm. We also make the sensitivity analysis for these variational inequalities and complementarity problems using the projection technique.
