We study the inverse problem of the reconstruction of the coefficient ?(x, t) = ?0(x, t) + r(x) multiplying ut in a nonstationary parabolic equation. Here ?0(x, t) ≥ ?0 > 0 is a given function, and r(x) ≥ 0 is an unknown function of the class L(Ω). In addition to the initial and boundary conditions (the data of the direct problem), we pose the problem of nonlocal observation in the form ∫0Tu(x, t) (t) = χ(x) with a known measure (t) and a function χ(x). We separately consider the case (t) = ω(t)dt of integral observation with a smooth function ω(t). We obtain sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the inverse problem, which have the form of ready-to-verify inequalities. We suggest an iterative procedure for finding the solution and prove its convergence. Examples of particular inverse problems for which the assumptions of our theorems hold are presented.  相似文献

The singularly perturbed parabolic equation ?u t + ε2Δu ? f(u, x, ε) = 0, xD ? ?2, t > 0 with Robin conditions on the boundary of D is considered. The asymptotic stability as t → ∞ and the global domain of attraction are analyzed for the stationary solution whose limit as ε → 0 is a nonsmooth solution to the reduced equation f(u, x, 0) = 0 that consists of two intersecting roots of this equation.  相似文献

We construct a linear differential system \(\dot x\) = (A(t) + μB(t))x, x ∈ ?2, t ≥ 0, with almost periodic coefficients which is almost reducible for all μ ∈ ? except for an at most countable set and whose singular and higher characteristic exponents treated as functions of the parameter μ are discontinuous at some point.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the following stochastic Hamiltonian system in ?2d (a second order stochastic differential equation):
$$d{\dot X_t} = b({X_t},{\dot X_t})dt + \sigma ({X_t},{\dot X_t})d{W_t},({X_0},{\dot X_0}) = (x,v) \in \mathbb{R}^{2d},$$
where b(x; v) : ?2d → ?d and σ(x; v): ?2d → ?d ? ?d are two Borel measurable functions. We show that if σ is bounded and uniformly non-degenerate, and bH p 2/3,0 and ?σLp for some p > 2(2d+1), where H p α, β is the Bessel potential space with differentiability indices α in x and β in v, then the above stochastic equation admits a unique strong solution so that (x, v) ? Zt(x, v) := (Xt, ?t)(x, v) forms a stochastic homeomorphism flow, and (x, v) ? Zt(x, v) is weakly differentiable with ess.supx, v E(supt∈[0, T] |?Zt(x, v)|q) < ∞ for all q ? 1 and T ? 0. Moreover, we also show the uniqueness of probability measure-valued solutions for kinetic Fokker-Planck equations with rough coefficients by showing the well-posedness of the associated martingale problem and using the superposition principle established by Figalli (2008) and Trevisan (2016).

In this paper we consider a super-Brownian motion X with branching mechanism k(x)zα, where k(x) > 0 is a bounded Holder continuous function on Rd and infx∈Rd k(x) = 0. We prove that if k(x) ≥ //x// -l(0 ≤l < ∞) for sufficiently large x, then X has compact support property, and for dimension d = 1, if k(x) ≥exp(-l‖x‖)(0≤l < ∞) for sufficiently large x, then X also has compact support property. The maximal order of k(x) for finite time extinction is different between d = 1, d = 2 and d ≥ 3: it is O(‖x‖-(α+1)) in one dimension, O(‖x‖-2(log‖x‖)-(α+1) ) in two dimensions, and O(‖x‖2) in higher dimensions. These growth orders also turn out to be the maximum order for the nonexistence of a positive solution for 1/2Δu =k(x)uα.  相似文献

Let ?? m be the m-dimensional unit torus, m ∈ ?. The torsional rigidity of an open set Ω ? ?? m is the integral with respect to Lebesgue measure over all starting points x ∈ Ω of the expected lifetime in Ω of a Brownian motion starting at x. In this paper we consider Ω = ?? m \β[0, t], the complement of the path ß[0, t] of an independent Brownian motion up to time t. We compute the leading order asymptotic behaviour of the expectation of the torsional rigidity in the limit as t → ∞. For m = 2 the main contribution comes from the components in ??2\β0, t] whose inradius is comparable to the largest inradius, while for m = 3 most of ??3\β[0, t] contributes. A similar result holds for m ≥ 4 after the Brownian path is replaced by a shrinking Wiener sausage W r(t)[0, t] of radius r(t) = o(t -1/(m-2)), provided the shrinking is slow enough to ensure that the torsional rigidity tends to zero. Asymptotic properties of the capacity of ß[0, t] in ?3 and W 1[0, t] in ? m , m ≥ 4, play a central role throughout the paper. Our results contribute to a better understanding of the geometry of the complement of Brownian motion on ?? m , which has received a lot of attention in the literature in past years.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the oscillatory behavior of the damped half-linear oscillator (a(t)?p(x′))′ + b(t)?p(x′) + c(t)?p(x) = 0, where ?p(x) = |x|p?1 sgn x for x ∈ ? and p > 1. A sufficient condition is established for oscillation of all nontrivial solutions of the damped half-linear oscillator under the integral averaging conditions. The main result can be given by using a generalized Young’s inequality and the Riccati type technique. Some examples are included to illustrate the result. Especially, an example which asserts that all nontrivial solutions are oscillatory if and only if p ≠ 2 is presented.  相似文献

We consider the oscillatory hyper Hilbert transform H γ,α,β f(x) = ∫ 0 f(x - Γ(t))eit-β t-(1+α)dt; where Γ(t) = (t, γ(t)) in ?2 is a general curve. When γ is convex, we give a simple condition on γ such that H γ,α,β is bounded on L 2 when β > 3α, β > 0: As a corollary, under this condition, we obtain the L p -boundedness of H γ,α,β when 2β/(2β - 3α) < p < 2β/(3α). When Γ is a general nonconvex curve, we give some more complicated conditions on γ such that H γ,α,β is bounded on L 2: As an application, we construct a class of strictly convex curves along which H γ,α,β is bounded on L 2 only if β > 2α > 0.  相似文献

The paper studies a Hilbert boundary value problem in L 1(ρ), where ρ(t) = |1–t|α and α is a real number. For α > ?1, it is proved that the homogeneous problem has n + κ linearly independent solutions when n + κ ≥ 0, where a(t) is the coefficient of the problem, besides, κ ind a(t) and n = [α] + 1 if α is not an integer, and n = α if α is an integer. Conditions under which the problem is solvable are found for the case when α > ?1 and n+κ < 0. For α ≤ ?1 the number of linearly independent solutions of the homogeneous problem depends on the behavior of the function a(t) at the point t = 1.  相似文献

The equation ?2u/?t?x + up?u/?x = uq describing a nonstationary process in semiconductors, with parameters p and q that are a nonnegative integer and a positive integer, respectively, and satisfy p + q ≥ 2, is considered in the half-plane (x, t) ∈ ? × (0,∞). All in all, fourteen families of its exact solutions are constructed for various parameter values, and qualitative properties of these solutions are noted. One of these families is defined for all parameter values indicated above.  相似文献

The authors get on Métivier groups the spectral resolution of a class of operators Open image in new window , the joint functional calculus of the sub-Laplacian and Laplacian on the centre, and then give some restriction theorems together with their asymptotic estimates, asserting the mix-norm boundedness of the spectral projection operators \(\mathcal{P}_\mu^m\) for two classes of functions m(a, b) = (aα + bβ)γ or (1 + aα + bβ)γ, with α, β > 0, γ ≠ 0.  相似文献

For any α ∈ (0, 1), c ∈ ?+ \ {1} and γ > 0 and for Lebesgue almost all irrational ρ ∈ (0, 1), any two C 2+α -smooth circle diffeomorphisms with a break, with the same rotation number ρ and the same size of the breaks c, are conjugate to each other via a C 1-smooth conjugacy whose derivative is uniformly continuous with modulus of continuity ω(x) = A|log x|?γ for some A > 0.  相似文献

We consider the problem of representing a solution to the Cauchy problem for an ordinary differential equation as a Fourier series in polynomials l r,k α (x) (k = 0, 1,...) that are Sobolev-orthonormal with respect to the inner product
$$\left\langle {f,g} \right\rangle = \sum\limits_{v = 0}^{r - 1} {{f^{(v)}}(0){g^{(v)}}} (0) + \int\limits_0^\infty {{f^{(r)}}(t)} {g^{(r)}}(t){t^\alpha }{e^{ - t}}dt$$
, and generated by the classical orthogonal Laguerre polynomials L k α (x) (k = 0, 1,...). The polynomials l r,k α (x) are represented as expressions containing the Laguerre polynomials L n α?r (x). An explicit form of the polynomials l r,k+r α (x) is established as an expansion in the powers x r+l , l = 0,..., k. These results can be used to study the asymptotic properties of the polynomials l r,k α (x) as k→∞and the approximation properties of the partial sums of Fourier series in these polynomials.

We consider the propagation of two-dimensional sound pulses in a homogeneous layer ?y 1?y?0. It is bounded by a plane stratified inhomogeneous half spacey?0 on one side and a perfectly reflecting boundary on the other. A line source is situated in the layer. The boundary condition isφ=0 or?φ/?y=0 aty=?y 1, whereφ is the acoustic velocity potential. We suppose that the velocity of wave propagationc is given byc ?2=p?qe ?αy iny>0, wherep, q, α are real and positive andp>q. It is equal to C′ in the layer where C′ is a constant. The method of dual integral transformation is used and the velocity potentialφ is obtained after using asymptotic expressions for some of the functions which are in the integrand. We obtain the incident, reflected, multiply-reflected and diffracted pulses in the layer.  相似文献

A metacyclic group H can be presented as 〈α,β: αn = 1, βm = αt, βαβ?1 = αr〉 for some n, m, t, r. Each endomorphism σ of H is determined by \(\sigma(\alpha)=\alpha^{x_1}\beta^{y_1}, \sigma(\beta)=\alpha^{x_2}\beta^{y_2}\) for some integers x1, x2, y1, y2. We give sufficient and necessary conditions on x1, x2, y1, y2 for σ to be an automorphism.  相似文献

We study the Nikol’skii inequality for algebraic polynomials on the interval [?1, 1] between the uniform norm and the norm of the space L q (α,β) , 1 ≤ q < ∞, with the Jacobi weight ?(α,β)(x) = (1 ? x) α (1 + x) β , αβ > ?1. We prove that, in the case α > β ≥ ?1/2, the polynomial with unit leading coefficient that deviates least from zero in the space L q (α+1,,β) with the Jacobi weight ? (α+1,β)(x) = (1?x) α+1(1+x) β is the unique extremal polynomial in the Nikol’skii inequality. To prove this result, we use the generalized translation operator associated with the Jacobi weight. We describe the set of all functions at which the norm of this operator in the space L q (α,β) for 1 ≤ q < ∞ and α > β ≥ ?1/2 is attained.  相似文献

This paper studies the cardinal interpolation operators associated with the general multiquadrics, ? α, c (x)=(∥x2 + c 2) α , \(x\in \mathbb {R}^{d}\). These operators take the form
$$\mathcal{I}_{\alpha,c}\mathbf{y}(x) = \sum\limits_{j\in\mathbb{Z}^{d}}y_{j}L_{\alpha,c}(x-j),\quad\mathbf{y}=(y_{j})_{j\in\mathbb{Z}^{d}},\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^{d}, $$
where L α, c is a fundamental function formed by integer translates of ? α, c which satisfies the interpolatory condition \(L_{\alpha ,c}(k) = \delta _{0,k},\; k\in \mathbb {Z}^{d}\). We consider recovery results for interpolation of bandlimited functions in higher dimensions by limiting the parameter \(c\to \infty \). In the univariate case, we consider the norm of the operator \(\mathcal {I}_{\alpha ,c}\) acting on ? p spaces as well as prove decay rates for L α, c using a detailed analysis of the derivatives of its Fourier transform, \(\widehat {L_{\alpha ,c}}\).

A general theorem (principle of a priori boundedness) on solvability of the boundary value problem dx = dA(t) · f(t, x), h(x) = 0 is established, where f: [a, b]×R n → R n is a vector-function belonging to the Carathéodory class corresponding to the matrix-function A: [a, b] → R n×n with bounded total variation components, and h: BVs([a, b],R n ) → R n is a continuous operator. Basing on the mentioned principle of a priori boundedness, effective criteria are obtained for the solvability of the system under the condition x(t1(x)) = B(x) · x(t 2(x))+c 0, where t i: BVs([a, b],R n ) → [a, b] (i = 1, 2) and B: BVs([a, b], R n ) → R n are continuous operators, and c 0 ∈ R n .  相似文献
