Let be a full rank time-frequency lattice in ℝ d ×ℝ d . In this note we first prove that any dual Gabor frame pair for a Λ-shift invariant subspace M can be dilated to a dual Gabor frame pair for the whole space L 2(ℝ d ) when the volume v(Λ) of the lattice Λ satisfies the condition v(Λ)≤1, and to a dual Gabor Riesz basis pair for a Λ-shift invariant subspace containing M when v(Λ)>1. This generalizes the dilation result in Gabardo and Han (J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 7:419–433, [2001]) to both higher dimensions and dual subspace Gabor frame pairs. Secondly, for any fixed positive integer N, we investigate the problem whether any Bessel–Gabor family G(g,Λ) can be completed to a tight Gabor (multi-)frame G(g,Λ)∪(∪ j=1 N G(g j ,Λ)) for L 2(ℝ d ). We show that this is true whenever v(Λ)≤N. In particular, when v(Λ)≤1, any Bessel–Gabor system is a subset of a tight Gabor frame G(g,Λ)∪G(h,Λ) for L 2(ℝ d ). Related results for affine systems are also discussed. Communicated by Chris Heil.  相似文献

We define and study a class of summable processes, called additive summable processes, that is larger than the class used by Dinculeanu and Brooks [D-B]. We relax the definition of a summable processesX:Ω×ℝ+EL(F, G) by asking for the associated measureI X to have just an additive extension to the predictableσ-algebra ℘, such that each of the measures (I X) z , forz∈(L G p )*, beingσ-additive, rather than having aσ-additive extension. We define a stochastic integral with respect to such a process and we prove several properties of the integral. After that we show that this class of summable processes contains all processesX:Ω×ℝ+EL(F, G) with integrable semivariation ifc 0G.  相似文献

Let E Aff(Γ,G, m) be the set of affine equivalence classes of m-dimensional complete flat manifolds with a fixed fundamental group Γ and a fixed holonomy group G. Let n be the dimension of a closed flat manifold whose fundamental group is isomorphic to Γ. We describe E Aff(Γ,G, m) in terms of equivalence classes of pairs (ε, ρ), consisting of epimorphisms of Γ onto G and representations of G in ℝ m-n . As an application we give some estimates of card E Aff(Γ,G, m).  相似文献

In this paper we state and prove the dual pairs correspondences of Spin(4,4)×Spin(8) inE 8,4 andF 4,4×SU2 and Spin(4,4)×SU 2 3 inE 7,4. For the first dual pair, every finite dimensional representation of Spin(8) occurs and each corresponds with finite but unbounded multiplicity to a quaternionic representation of Spin(4,4) having the same infinitesimal character. For the other two dual pairs the correspondences are one to one.  相似文献

Let L be the infinitesimal generator of an analytic semigroup on L2 (Rn) with suitable upper bounds on its heat kernels. Assume that L has a bounded holomorphic functional calculus on L2(Rn). In this paper,we define the Littlewood- Paley g function associated with L on Rn × Rn, denoted by GL(f)(x1, x2), and decomposition, we prove that ‖SL(f)‖p ≈‖GL(f)‖p ≈‖f‖p for 1 < p <∞.  相似文献

Let Ω be an open set in ℝ n andE be a relatively closed subset of Ω. Further, letC e(E) be the collection of real-valued continuous functions onE which extend continuously to the closure ofE in ℝ n . We characterize those pairs (Ω,E) which have the following property: every function inC e(E) which is harmonic onE 0 can be uniformly approximated onE by functions which are harmonic on Ω and whose restrictions toE belong toC e(E).  相似文献

A finitely presented group G is hyperbolic iff H (1) 1(G,ℝ)=0=(1) 2(G, ℝ), where H (1) * (resp. (1) *) denotes the ℓ1-homology (resp. reduced ℓ1-homology). If Γ is a graph, then every ℓ1 1-cycle in Γ with real coefficients can be approximated by 1-cycles of compact support. A 1-relator group G is hyperbolic iff H (1) 1(G,ℝ)=0. The real partE of a real Enriques surfaceE admits a natural decomposition in two halves,E =E (1)E (2) , each half being a union of components ofE . We classify the triads (E ;E (1) ,E (2) ) up to homeomorphism. Most results extend to surfaces of more general nature than Enriques surfaces. We use and study in details the properties of Kalinin's filtration in the homology of the fixed point set of an involution, which is a convenient tool not widely known in topology of real algebraic varieties.  相似文献

Abstract

Let 𝕂 be a field of characteristic zero, and R be a G-graded 𝕂-algebra. We consider the algebra R ? E, then deduce its G × ?2-graded polynomial identities starting from the G-graded polynomial identities of R. As a consequence, we describe a basis for the ? n  × ?2-graded identities of the algebras M n (E). Moreover we give the graded cocharacter sequence of M 2(E), and show that M 2(E) is PI-equivalent to M 1,1(E) ? E. This fact is a particular case of a more general result obtained by Kemer.  相似文献

LetE be a bounded Borel subset of ℝn,n≥2, of positive Lebesgue measure andP E the corresponding ‘Pompeiu transform”. We prove thatP E is injective onL p(ℝn) if 1≤p≤2n/(n-1). We explore the connection between this problem and a Wiener-Tauberian type theorem for theM(n) action onL q(ℝn) for various values ofq. We also take up the question of whenP E is injective in caseE is of finite, positive measure, but is not necessarily a bounded set. Finally, we briefly look at these questions in the contexts of symmetric spaces of compact and non-compact type.  相似文献

Boundedness of Multilinear Operators in Herz-type Hardy Space   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Let κ∈ℕ. We prove that the multilinear operators of finite sums of products of singular integrals on ℝn are bounded from HK α1,p1 q1 (ℝn) ×···×HK αk,pk qk (ℝn) into HK α,p q (ℝn) if they have vanishing moments up to a certain order dictated by the target spaces. These conditions on vanishing moments satisfied by the multilinear operators are also necessary when αj≥ 0 and the singular integrals considered here include the Calderón-Zygmund singular integrals and the fractional integrals of any orders. Let CM be the bundle of connections of a principal G-bundle PM over a pseudo-Riemannian manifold (M,g) of signature (n+, n) and let EM be the associated bundle with P under a linear representation of G on a finite-dimensional vector space. For an arbitrary Lie group G, the O(n+, n) × G-invariant quadratic Lagrangians on J1(C × M E) are characterized. In particular, for a simple Lie group the Yang–Mills and Yang–Mills–Higgs Lagrangians are characterized, up to an scalar factor, to be the only O(n+, n) × G-invariant quadratic Lagrangians. These results are also analyzed on several examples of interest in gauge theory. Submitted: May 19, 2005; Accepted: April 25, 2006  相似文献

Let G be a compact group whose local weight b(G) has uncountable cofinality. Let H be an amenable locally compact group and A(G × H) be the Fourier algebra of G × H. We prove that the group von Neumann algebra VN(G × H) = A(G × H)* has the weak uniform A(G × H)** factorization property of level b(G). As a corollary we show that A(G × H) is strongly Arens irregular, and the topological centre of UC 2(G × H)* is equal to the Fourier–Stieltjes algebra B(G × H).  相似文献

We prove that the solution u of the equation u t =Δlog u, u>0, in (Ω\{x 0})×(0,T), Ω⊂ℝ2, has removable singularities at {x 0}×(0,T) if and only if for any 0<α<1, 0<a<b<T, there exist constants ρ0, C 1, C 2>0, such that C 1 |xx 0|αu(x,t)≤C 2|xx 0|−α holds for all 0<|xx 0|≤ρ0 and atb. As a consequence we obtain a sufficient condition for removable singularities at {∞}×(0,T) for solutions of the above equation in ℝ2×(0,T) and we prove the existence of infinitely many finite mass solutions for the equation in ℝ2×(0,T) when 0≤u 0L 1 (ℝ2) is radially symmetric and u 0L loc 1(ℝ2). This paper is concerned with solutions of the Hamiltonian system: [(u)\dot]=JHu(t,u)\dot{u}=\mathcal{J}H_{u}(t,u) , where H(t,u)=\frac12u·Lu+W(t,u)H(t,u)=\frac{1}{2}u\cdot Lu+W(t,u) with L being a 2N×2N symmetric matrix and WC 1(ℝ×ℝ2N ,ℝ) being super quadratic at infinity in u∈ℝ2N . We use variational methods to study this problem. By virtue of some auxiliary system related to the “limit equation” of the Hamiltonian system, we constructed linking levels of the variational functional Φ such that the minimax value E l based on the linking structure of Φ satisfies 0 < El < El00El0E_{l_{0}} is the least action of the “limit equation”. Thus we can show the (PS) c -condition holds true for all c < El0c相似文献

Suppose thatE is a finite-dimensional Banach space with a polyhedral norm ‖·‖, i.e., a norm such that the unit ball inE is a polyhedron. ℝ n with the sup norm or ℝ n with thel 1-norm are important examples. IfD is a bounded set inE andT:DD is a map such that ‖T(y)−T(z)‖≤ ‖yz‖ for ally andz inE, thenT is called nonexpansive with respect to ‖·‖, and it is known that for eachxD there is an integerp=p(x) such that lim j→∞ T jp (x) exists. Furthermore, there exists an integerN, depending only on the dimension ofE and the polyhedral norm onE, such thatp(x)≤N: see [1,12,18,19] and the references to the literature there. In [15], Scheutzow has raised a question about the optimal choice ofN whenE=ℝ n ,D=K n , the set of nonnegative vectors in ℝ n , and the norm is thel 1-norm. We provide here a reasonably sharp answer to Scheutzow’s question, and in fact we provide a systematic way to generate examples and use this approach to prove that our estimates are optimal forn≤24. See Theorem 2.1, Table 2.1 and the examples in Section 3. As we show in Corollary 2.3, these results also provide information about the caseD=ℝ n , i.e.,T:ℝ n →ℝ n isl 1-nonexpansive. In addition, it is conjectured in [12] thatN=2 n whenE=ℝ n and the norm is the sup norm, and such a result is optimal, if true. Our theorems here show that a sharper result is true for an important subclass of nonexpansive mapsT:(ℝ n ,‖ · ‖)→(ℝ n ,‖ · ‖). Partially supported by NSF DMS89-03018.  相似文献

ForG=PGL2(ℚ p )×PGL2 ℚ we study the closures of orbits under the maximal split Cartan subgroup ofG in homogeneous spacesΓ\G. We show that if a closure of an orbit contains a closed orbit then the orbit is either dense or closed. We show the relation of this to divisibility properties of integral quaternions and other lattices. We establish an example of a functorial lift from generic cuspidal representations of a similitude group of the type A 1×C 2 to generic representations of Spin7. Our construction uses the theta correspondence associated to the dual pair of the type (A 1×C 2 B 3) inside E 7. We also consider another theta correspondence associated to the dual pair of type (A 1×C 2 A 1×A 1) in D 6 and show that these two pairs fit into a tower and the standard properties of a tower of theta correspondences hold.  相似文献
