本文在研究波动方程时引入的整体Sobolev不等式推广到双曲组的情形.得到了一阶双曲组Cauchy问题解的几个衰减估计.特别是当初始资料给在指定的带权Sobolev空间中时,定理1.5的结果提供了最佳的衰减率.在定理的证明中我们将双曲组化到相应的一阶拟微分方程的情形,进而利用微局部分析建立所需要的估计.  相似文献

In this paper we estimate the error of upwind first order finite volume schemes applied to scalar conservation laws. As a first step, we consider standard upwind and flux finite volume scheme discretization of a linear equation with space variable coefficients in conservation form. We prove that, in spite of their lack of consistency, both schemes lead to a first order error estimate. As a final step, we prove a similar estimate for the nonlinear case. Our proofs rely on the notion of geometric corrector, introduced in our previous paper by Bouche et al. (2005) [24] in the context of constant coefficient linear advection equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a non-local coupled system that arises in the theory of dislocations densities dynamics. Within the framework of viscosity solutions, we prove a long time existence and uniqueness result for the solution of this model. We also propose a convergent numerical scheme and we prove a Crandall-Lions type error estimate between the continuous solution and the numerical one. As far as we know, this is the first error estimate of Crandall-Lions type for Hamilton-Jacobi systems. We also provide some numerical simulations.

Summary  We present algorithms for finding the level set tree of a multivariate density estimate. That is, we find the separated components of level sets of the estimate for a series of levels, gather information on the separated components, such as volume and barycenter, and present the information together with the tree structure of the separated components. The algorithm proceeds by first building a binary tree which partitions the support of the density estimate, followed by bottom-up travels of this tree during which we join those parts of the level sets which touch each other. As a byproduct we present an algorithm for evaluating a kernel estimate on a large multidimensional grid. Since we find the barycenters of the separated components of the level sets also for high levels, our method finds the locations of local extremes of the estimate. In this paper, we first show the uniqueness of invariant measures for the stochastic fast diffusion equation, which follows from an obtained new decay estimate. Then we establish the Harnack inequality for the stochastic fast diffusion equation with nonlinear perturbation in the drift and derive the heat kernel estimate and ultrabounded property for the associated transition semigroup. Moreover, the exponential ergodicity and the existence of a spectral gap are also investigated.  相似文献

Under the Golub-Van Loan condition for the existence and uniqueness of the scaled total least squares (STLS) solution, a first order perturbation estimate for the STLS solution and upper bounds for condition numbers of a STLS problem have been derived by Zhou et al. recently. In this paper, a different perturbation analysis approach for the STLS solution is presented. The analyticity of the solution to the perturbed STLS problem is explored and a new expression for the first order perturbation estimate is derived. Based on this perturbation estimate, for some STLS problems with linear structure we further study the structured condition numbers and derive estimates for them. Numerical experiments show that the structured condition numbers can be markedly less than their unstructured counterparts.  相似文献

In a series of joint works with S. Bianchini [3, 4, 5], we proved a quadratic interaction estimate for general systems of conservation laws. Aim of this paper is to present the results obtained in the three cited articles [3, 4, 5], discussing how they are related with the general theory of hyperbolic conservation laws. To this purpose, first we explain why this quadratic estimate is interesting, then we give a brief overview of the techniques we used to prove it and finally we present some related open problems.  相似文献

A nonlinear parabolic problem with memory effect is considered. We first establish a Carleman type estimate for a linear problem which is the adjoint of a suitable linearization of the nonlinear problem. As a consequence of this estimate we obtain an observability estimate. Then we establish the exact controllability of the linearized system with distributed control over a subdomain. 本文提出了两种风险值的估计方法,这两种方法均是先估计出收益的分布,然后求得分布左侧p分位点作为风险值的估计.第一种方法是用核估计方法得到收益的分布估计;第二种方法则是由分布的核估计算得收益的众数,引入所谓的广义半t分布拟合众数左侧的样本.文章以上证指数为实例验证了这两种方法的可行性与精确性.最后我们利用上述两种估计方法得到了上证指数风险值的波动主周期.  相似文献

In this paper, we work on compact quasi-Einstein metrics and prove several gap results. In the first part, we get a gap estimate for the first nonzero eigenvalue of the weighted Laplacian, by establishing a comparison theorem for the weighted heat kernel. In the second part, we establish two gap results for the Ricci curvature and the scalar curvature, based on which some rigid properties can be derived.  相似文献

In this paper, we study, via variational methods, the problem of scattering of time harmonic acoustic waves by unbounded inhomogeneous layers above a sound soft rough surface. We first propose a variational formulation and exploit it as a theoretical tool to prove the well-posedness of this problem when the media is non-absorbing for arbitrary wave number and obtain an estimate about the solution, which exhibit explicitly dependence of bound on the wave number and on the geometry of the domain. Then, based on the non-absorbing results, we show that the variational problem remains uniquely solvable when the layer is absorbing by means of a priori estimate of the solution. Finally, we consider the finite element approximation of the problem and give an error estimate.  相似文献

We prove a lower bound estimate for the first non-zero eigenvalue of the Witten–Laplacian on compact Riemannian manifolds. As an application, we derive a lower bound estimate for the diameter of compact gradient shrinking Ricci solitons. Our results improve some previous estimates which were obtained by the first author and Sano (Asian J Math, to appear), and by Andrews and Ni (Comm Partial Differential Equ, to appear). Moreover, we extend the diameter estimate to compact self-similar shrinkers of mean curvature flow.  相似文献

For classes of functions with convergent Fourier series, the problem of estimating the rate of convergence has always been of interest. The classical theorem of Dirichlet and Jordan for functions of bounded variation assures the convergence of their Fourier series, but gives no estimate of the rate of convergence. Such an estimate was first provided by Bojani . Here we consider this problem in the case of functions of two variables that are of bounded variation in the sense of Hardy and Krause. The Dirichlet-Jordan test was first extended by Hardy from single to double Fourier series. Now, we provide a quantitative version of it. We prove our estimate in a greater generality, by introducing the so-called rectangular oscillation of a function of two variables over a rectangle.  相似文献

In the present paper, we first establish a coerciveness estimate with respect to both the space variable and the spectral parameter of a boundary-value problem for an operator differential equation with nonlocal boundary conditions containing the spectral parameter. Then, using the coerciveness estimate, we prove that the operator generated by this problem is a Fredholm, and, moreover is an isomorphism between appropriate spaces. Finally, the results obtained are applied to a class of non local problems for a quasi-elliptic partial differential equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we first prove the CR analogue of Obata’s theorem on a closed pseudohermitian 3-manifold with zero pseudohermitian torsion. Secondly, instead of zero torsion, we have the CR analogue of Li-Yau’s eigenvalue estimate on the lower bound estimate of positive first eigenvalue of the sub-Laplacian in a closed pseudohermitian 3-manifold with nonnegative CR Paneitz operator P 0. Finally, we have a criterion for the positivity of first eigenvalue of the sub-Laplacian on a complete noncompact pseudohermitian 3-manifold with nonnegative CR Paneitz operator. The key step is a discovery of integral CR analogue of Bochner formula which involving the CR Paneitz operator. This research was supported in part by the NSC of Taiwan.  相似文献
