Das Schwingungsspektrum von Sr2V2O7 und die Schwingungseigenschaften des Divanadat-Ions

The infrared and laser-Raman spectra of Sr₂V₂O₇ are reported and discussed by means of a Site Symmetry analysis. The principal force constants as well as the mean amplitudes of vibration for the V₂O₇ ^4– ion have been calculated using a simplified molecular model. Some aspects of the vibrational behaviour of the V–O–V bridge in this ion are also discussed.

Die IR-Spektren von Kobalt-, Nickel- und Zink-Orthovanadat

Infrared spectra of crystalline Co₃(VO₄)₂, Ni₃(VO₄)₂ and Zn₃(VO₄)₂ as well as the laser-Raman spectrum of the last mentioned compound are reported and discussed. A series of solid solutions of the type (Zn/Ni)₃(VO₄)₂ have also been prepared and investigated, in order to obtain a wider insight into the spectroscopic behaviour of this class of compounds in the 500-250 cm^–1 region. Comparisons with the formerly investigated isotypic Mg₃(VO₄)₂ allows to confirm some of the earlier statements and assignments in the light of additional experimental information.

Kristallographische Daten und IR-Spektrum von AlVO4

The unit cell parameters of AlVO₄ have been determined from powder diagrams. The compound pertains to the triclinic system and is isostructural wi7h FeVO₄. The infrared spectra of AlVO₄ and FeVO₄ and of a series of solid solutions in the system AlVO₄/FeVO₄ has also been recorded and discussed.

In the case of NH₄VO₃ also the laser-Raman spectrum was recorded and analyzed. Force constants, mean amplitudes of vibration and other bond properties for the terminal VO₂ groups, as well as for the VOV chain units are estimated.

Mono and bis tricarbonylchromium complexes of diphenic acid and its monomethylester (3, 4, 15, 16) were prepared by treating the corresponding methyl and trimethylsilylesters (e.g.12) with Cr(CO)₆ and subsequent hydrolysis of the complexes1, 2, 13, and14. Diborane reduction of the carboxylic acids gave hydroxymethyl derivatives, amongst which the diol8 a is a key substance for configurational analyses by¹H-nmr and ir spectroscopy. In this context monosubstituted biphenyl complexes (9–11) were prepared as reference substances. Complexation of the lactone23 of 2-hydroxymethyl biphenyl-2-carboxylic acid afforded (besides two isomeric monocomplexes) mainly thetrans-biscomplex26 b, a key intermediate for ring opening and cyclization reactions.The stereochemical possibilities of the biscomplexes are discussed. The racemate configuration is preliminarily assigned to diphenic acid bistricarbonylchromium and its derivatives.

In the equilibrium between the two diastereomeric (Z, Z, Z) and (E, Z, Z) forms of aetiobiliverdine-IV- the former is preferred by about 20kJ/mol. For the thermal isomerization a barrier of 108kJ/mol has to be surmounted—as measured for the latter isomer. A value of 12.4 for the logarithm of the preexponential factor leads to a polar singlet mechanism, which was deduced previously for pyrromethenones and arylmethylenepyrrolinones, but a much more positive activation entropy for the verdinoid system indicates a pronounced delocalisation of charge over the entire conjugated system in the corresponding transition state.

Crystals Iare triclinic: a= 8.317(3) Å, b= 10.419(6) Å, c= 10.826(3) Å, = 63.71(4)°, = 73.24(3)°, = 77.42(5)°, Z= 2, _calcd= 3.42 g/cm³, _exp= 3.45 g/cm³, space group P , R= 0.051; crystals IIare monoclinic: a= 8.079(2) Å, b= 29.116(8) Å, c= 8.162(2) Å, = 117.08(2)°, Z= 4, _calcd= 4.549 g/cm³, _exp= 4.50 g/cm³, space group P2₁/c, R= 0.036. Structure Iis composed of SbF₄E and SbF₅E polyhedra combined into tetranuclear chains; crystals IIconsist of SbF₄E polyhedra, two of which form a dimer Sb₂F₇E₂, while the other two are isolated (E is the antimony lone electron pair).     

Synthese neuer Indolderivate

The synthesis of the ,-unsaturated ketones4, 5 und6 via the regiospecific aldol- andWittigreaction with some indolealdehydes is described.4 and5 are stable enough for NaBH₄-reduction to the corresponding alcohols.

     

Optisch aktives 1,3-Diferrocenyl-1,3-diphenyl-allen

The title compound 2 was prepared by thermal dehydration of 1,3-diferrocenyl-1,3-diphenyl-propenol (24) with 70% yield.24 was accessible from 1,3-diferrocenyl-propanedione-1,3 (25) in two steps with 10% overall yield: Treatment of25 with phenyllithium gave 1,3-diferrocenyl-3-phenyl-propenone (8) which after repeated reaction with phenyllithium afforded24.Partial optical resolution of2 was achieved by chromatography on triacetyl cellulose in ethanol, whereby both (+)- and (–)-2 were obtained with different enantiomeric purities as could be deduced from the CD-spectra with -values of +0.18 and –1.64, resp., at 480 nm.Attempts to prepare 1,3-diferrocenyl-allene and 1,3-diferrocenyl-1-phenyl-allene failed. In this context several 1,3-diferrocenyl-propenols,-propenones,-propenes,-propanones,-propanes and-butadienes were obtained.

Eine breit anwendbare Synthese fluoreszierender kondensierter α-Pyrone

In a two step procedure and in usually good yield an -pyrone ring can be annelated to (enolized) cyclic -dicarbonyl compounds like 4-hydroxy-2-pyrones, 4-hydroxycoumarins, 4-hydroxy-2-quinolones and more complex malonylheterocycles, but also to -naphthole.In a first step the combined action of triethyl orthoformate and arylamines upon the dicarbonyl system affords the anilinomethylene derivativesB in usually high yields.B is reacted with an active methylene nitrile (like alkyl cyano-acetates) and one equivalent of a strong base (like sodium methoxide or potassium hydroxide) in a polar aprotic solvent (like dimethylformamide). Subsequent acidification with dilute aqueous acid gives the corresponding -pyroneD with yields from 18 to 84%.The reaction sequence is broadly applicable, which is demonstrated by the synthesis of a series of known (3, 7, 16, 31) and novel (10, 19, 22, 25, 28, 34) heterocyclic systems. Most of them exhibit strong fluorescence in the visible with emission maxima between 450 and 510 nm.
