Vibrational spectra of N,N′-ethylene-Bis(salicylaldiminaates) and N,N′-ethylene-Bis(acetylacetoniminates) of nickel (II), copper (II), and zinc (II) are studied experimentally (IR spectroscopy, 400–4000 cm−1) and theoretically (B3LYP), band assignment is given, and the distribution of potential energy of normal vibrations in internal coordinates is studied. Differences between vibrational spectra of the complexes are discussed. Thermodynamic functions of gas-phase complexes corresponding to temperatures of 298 and 800 K are calculated.  相似文献

N,N-diethylnicotinamide-acetylsalicylato complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) were synthesized and investigated by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, solid state UV–Vis, direct injection probe mass spectra, FTIR spectra and thermoanalytic TG-DTG methods. The complexes contain two waters, two acetylsalicylate (asa) and two N,N-diethylnicotinamide (dena) ligands per formula unit. The acetylsalicylate and N,N-diethylnicotinamide are monodentate through acidic oxygen and nitrogen of pyridine ring. Decomposition of each complex starts with dehydration then decomposition of N,N-diethylnicotinamide and acetylsalicylate, respectively. The thermal dehydration of the complexes takes place in one or two steps. The decomposition mechanism and thermal stability of the investigated complexes are interpreted in terms of their structures. The final decomposition products are found to be metal oxides.  相似文献

A series of new ligands derived from N,N′-O-phenylenebis(salicylideneimine) have been synthesized and characterized by spectrometric methods. Their protonation constants and the stability constants of their complexes with Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+ et Cu2+ have been determined by potentiometric methods in a water–ethanol (90:10 v/v) mixture at a 0.2 mol l−1 ionic strength (NaCl) and at 25.0 ± 0.1 °C. The Sirko program was used to determine the protonation constants as well as the binding constants of both species [M(HL)]+ and [ML]. The stability order obtained is in agreement with Irving–Williams series.  相似文献

Abstract

Thermodynamic parameters have been determined by poten-tiometric techniques for complex ions formed by N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine TKED, with nickel (II), copper(II), and zinc(II) ions. The formation constants, enthalpy, and free energy data for the complexes exhibited values qualitatively consistent with predicted ligand field stabilization trends for these cations. The general expected stability of the complexes in the order Ni(II) < Cu(II) > Zn(II) is observed.  相似文献

The thermal decompositions of the complexes of N,N-dialkyl-N'-benzoylthioureas with Cu(II), Ni(II), Pd(II), Pt(II), Cd(II), Ru(III) and Fe(III) were studied by TG and DTA techniques. These metal complexes decompose in two stages: elimination of dialkylbenzamide, and total decomposition to metal sulphides or metals. The influence of the alkyl substituents in these benzoylthiourea chelates on the thermal behaviour of the metal complexes was investigated.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Summary The ON–NO donor Schiff base,N,N'-bis(benzoin)benzidine forms mono-, di- and tetra-nuclear complexes with metal cations. The cobalt(II) complex is a blue monomei of tetrahedral configuration. The nickel(II) and manganese(II) complexes are dimers and octahedral. A tetranuclear square planar chloro-bridged structure is proposed for the copper(II) complex. A dimeric pentacoordinated square pyramidal configuration is assigned to zinc(II) and a dinuclear tetrahedral stereochemistry is suggested for the cadmium(II) and mercury(II) complexes on the basis of analytical, conductance, magnetic susceptibility, molecular weight, i.r., electronic, d.t.g. and d.t.a. data.  相似文献

Mononuclear macrocyclic complexes of manganese(II ), cobalt(II ) and nickel(II ) perchlorate using 10 different oxaazamacrocyclic ligands (L1 — L10) have been prepared and characterized. The complexation reactions with the diiminic ligands were obtained by template condensation of the appropriate dialdehyde and diamine precursors; the reduced macrocycle complexes were synthesized using a direct route. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivity, mass spectrometry, IR, UV‐vis spectroscopy, diffuse reflectance and magnetic susceptibility measurements.  相似文献

Summary Reaction of 1,4,8, 12-tetra-azacyclopentadecance ([15])-aneN4) with an excess of acrylonitrile gives theN-tetracyanoethylated ligand (L). Several new complexes of this ligand with nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) have been prepared and characterised. The complexes can be formulated [NiL]n(ClO4)2n, [ML](ClO4)2 (M=CuII and ZnII), [NiL(NCS)2], [NiLCl2], [CuL](NO3)2 and [NiL]n(NO3)2n·2H2O. A new Schiff base ligand was prepared by condensation of 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde with 1,2-propanediamine. The ligand and its metal complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR, magnetic moment, molar conductance, UV-Vis, SEM and thermal analysis (TGA). The molar conductance measurements indicated that all the metal complexes were non-electrolytes. IR spectra showed that ligand (L) behaves as a neutral tetradentate ligand and binds to the metal ions by the two azomethine nitrogen atoms and two phenolic oxygen atoms. The electronic absorption spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicated square planar geometry for the Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes while other metal complexes showed tetrahedral geometry. Also the surface morphology of the complexes was studied by SEM.  相似文献

A new series of complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) with phosphoramidothioate (PAT), phosphorodiamidothioate (PDAT) and N,N-diphenylphosphorodiamidothioate (N,N-DPDAT) ligands have been synthesized and studied. The structures of the new compounds are discussed on the basis of their spectroscopic and thermal data. Thermoanalytical studies of these compounds have shown a dependence of the thermal stability on the size of the metal cation; the PAT complexes have greater thermal stability than the others.
Zusammenfassung Komplexe von Zn(II), Cd(II) und Hg(II) mit Phosphoramidothioat (PAT), Phosphorodiamidothioat (PDAT) und N,N-Diphenylphosphorodiamidothioat (N,N-DPDAT) als Liganden wurden synthetisiert und untersucht. Die Strukturen der neuen Verbindungen werden basierend auf deren spektroskopischen und thermischen Daten diskutiert. Die thermoanalytische Untersuchung dieser Verbindungen hat eine Abhängigkeit der thermischen Stabilität von der Größe der Metallkationen ergeben, und zwar sind die PAT-Komplexe thermisch stabiler als die anderen.

Abstract

Five coordination complexes with Mn2+ (1), Co2+ (2), Ni2+ (3), Cu2+ (4), and Zn2+ (5) containing acesulfame (ace) and N,N-diethylnicotinamide (dena) ligands were synthesized and structural binding properties investigated. Four compounds (1, 2, 4, and 5) were examined with single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The structures containing Mn(II), Co(II), and Zn(II) were iso-structural. Six-coordination of metal cations were completed with two moles dena and four aqua ligands. The dena ligands were coordinated via pyridine nitrogen as neutral-monodentate. Charge stabilities of the complexes are complemented by two moles monoanionic ace ligands, located outside of the coordination unit. In the Cu(II) complex, the coordination is completed by acidic nitrogen and carbonyl oxygen atoms of two ace ligands and pyridine nitrogen of two moles dena ligands. The coordination to Cu(II) for ace ligands was monoanionic-bidentate. All metal cations in the structure are distorted octahedral. Thermal decomposition of complexes begins with removal of the aqua molecules from the structures and is completed by combustion of organic ligands. The final decomposition products of all structures have been identified as corresponding metal oxides. Some biological applications (anti-fungal/anti-bacterial) were studied using 15.  相似文献

4–Formylantipyrine N(4)-antipyrinylthiosemicarbazone and its metal complexes have been synthesized and characterized. Elemental analyses, molar conductivities, magnetic measurements and spectral (i.r., electronic, n.m.r., e.s.r.) studies have been used to characterize the complexes. The i.r. spectra show that the thiosemicarbazones behave as bidentate (NS) or tridentate ligands (ONS), either in the thione or thiolato form. Stereochemistries are proposed for the complexes on the basis of both spectral and magnetic studies.  相似文献

New complexes of Rh(III), Ru(II), and Pd(II) with N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine (tpen) and its analogues have been prepared. The reaction of RhCl(3).nH(2)O with tpen is slow and allows one to isolate the products of three consecutive substitution steps: Rh(2)Cl(6)(tpen) (1), cis-[RhCl(2)(eta(4)-tpen)](+) (2), and [RhCl(eta(5)-tpen)](2+) (3). In acetonitrile the reaction stops at the step of the formation of cis-[RhCl(2)(eta(4)-tpen)](+), whereas [RhCl(eta(5)-tpen)](2+) is the final product of the further reaction in ethanol. Fully chelated [Rh(tpen)](3+) could not be obtained. Bis(acetylacetonato)palladium(II), Pd(acac)(2), reacts with tpen and its analogues, N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,3-propanediamine (tptn) and N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)-(R)-1,2-propylenediamine (R-tppn), to give [Pd(eta(4)-tpen)](2+) (4), [Pd(eta(4)-tppn)](2+) (5), and [Pd(eta(4)-tptn)](2+) (6), respectively. Two pyridyl arms remain uncoordinated in these cases. The formation of unstable Pd(III) complexes from these Pd(II) complexes in solution was suggested on the basis of electrochemical measurements. Ruthenium(III) trichloride, RuCl(3).nH(2)O, is reduced to give a Ru(II) complex with fully coordinated tpen, [Ru(tpen)](2+) (7). The same product was obtained in a more straightforward reaction of Ru(II)Cl(2)(dimethyl sulfoxide)(4) with tpen. Electrochemical studies showed a quasi-reversible [Ru(tpen)](2+/3+) couple for [7](ClO(4))(2) (E(1/2) = 1.05 V vs Ag/AgCl). Crystal structures of [2](PF(6)).2CH(3)CN, [3](PF(6))(2).CH(3)CN, [6](ClO(4))(2), and [7](ClO(4))(2).0.5H(2)O were determined. The four binuclear copper(II) complexes thus isolated as the new compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, u.v. and i.r. spectra, magnetic susceptibility, and electronic conductivity measurements.     The potassium salt of o-aminophenol-N,N,O-triacetic acid (APTA) and KMnL·H2O, KCoL·3H2O, KNiL·3H2O, KZnL·3ZH2O, Co(CoL)2·7H2O and Ni(NiL)2·8H2O(L3−:anion of APTA) have been synthesized and characterized by elementary analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, molar conductance, IR spectra, magnetic measurements and electronic spectra. The coordination environments of these metal ions have been discussed on the basis of these studies. The single crystal structure of cobalt(II)-APTA has been determined as CoL·0.5Co(H2O)6·4H2O, which contains two types of cobalt(II). One type of cobalt(II) is coordinated with six water molecules to form Co(H2O)62+, the other is chelated by APTA to form a distorted octahedron and linked into an infinite chain anion [COC6H4(OCH2COO)N(CH2COO)2]n, in which each cobalt(II) atom is linked with neighbouring cobalt(II) atoms through two carboxylate oxygen atoms of the phenoxyacetate group. Water molecules occupy interstices in the structure.  相似文献

    Palladium(II), platinum(II), ruthenium(III) and iridium(III) complexes of general stoichiometry [PdL]Cl(2), [PtL]Cl(2), [Ru(L)Cl(2)]Cl and [Ir(L)Cl(2)]Cl are synthesized with a tetradentate macrocyclic ligand, derived from 2,6-diaminopyridine with 3-ethyl 2,4-pentanedione. Ligand was characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, mass, and (1)H NMR and (13)C NMR spectral studies. All the complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, mass, electronic spectral techniques and thermal studies. The value of magnetic moments indicates that all the complexes are diamagnetic except Ru(III) complex which shows magnetic moments corresponding its one unpaired electron. The macrocyclic ligand and all its metal complexes were also evaluated in vitro against some plant pathogenic fungi and bacteria to assess their biocidal properties.  相似文献

    Summary The new complexes K2[Ni(H2heo)2]·3H2O, K2[Pd-(H2heo)2], K2[Cu(heo)]·3H2O and [Cu2(heo)·2H2O] {heo = [(CONCH2CH2O)2]4-} were prepared and characterized by chemical analyses, conductivity measurements, thermogravimetry, magnetic susceptibility and i.r. and u.v. spectroscopy.Monomeric square planar structures with MN4 coordination spheres are found for the nickel and palladium complex anions.For copper, two different complexes were identified. In slightly alkaline media, a green insoluble nonelectrolyte [Cu2(heo)·2H2O] was prepared; the two copper(II) centres are bridged by the tetra-deprotonated ligand in a trans-planar configuration with the H2O molecules strongly coordinated to the copper(II). The copper(II) monomer has been prepared in strong alkaline media, this anion also contains the tetra-deprotonated ligand in a planar trans form.  相似文献
