The sensitivity of the delay time of the molecular rotational quantum echo to change in the rotational constants of molecules was investigated with a model of the rotational quantum echo considered as an optically induced quantum synchronization of the Fourier rotational modes of an asymmetric molecular top. The J-echo and the K-echo were investigated for the A- and C-configurations of rotation of a top molecule. The contour maps of the dependence of the sensitivity of the delay time of these types of echo to changes in the rotational constants on the parameters of the molecular tops have been obtained for all the rotational constants. They show that the delay time of the rotational quantum echo is greatly dependent on the configuration of rotation of the top molecule and on the rotational constants. It is shown that the optical probing of the rotational quantum echo can also be performed by the optical rotation of the investigated molecule, and in this case the rotational force is dependent on the intramolecular orientation of the magnetic dipole moment. It was determined that a high sensitivity of the delay time of the echo to changes in the rotational constants can be responsible for the broadening of the echo pulse and even for its disappearance. It is shown that the magnetic fieldinduced optical activity in the luminescence of complex molecules in vapors in the presence of rotational anisotropy in the ensemble of luminescent molecules provides information also on the intramolecular orientation of the initiating dipole moments of transitions, including borrowed ones. The relationships between the rotational force of the optical activity and this orientation in the case of anisotropy induced by a linearly polarized exciting light are obtained.  相似文献

From the independence of the contour of spectral density of the rotational (orientation) correlation function of a rigid molecular top of arbitrary symmetry on temperature in the frequency scale based on the reduced time of rotational orientation relaxation and from the near independence of the rotational contour of vibrational and vibronic absorption bands of dipole transitions in the same coordinates in a model of “regular diffusion” of the transition oscillator with a classically rotating rigid molecular top, it is suggested that it is possible to use the halfwidth of the contour for estimation of temperatures. Data are presented on the halfwidth of 48 contours of bands of A, B, and C types at this frequency for 12 compounds for a temperature range of from units to 500 degrees of absolute temperature measured experimentally and (for low temperatures) calculated by the quantum theory. The polarization of the fluorescence of radicals formed in laser-induced photodissociation of some disulfides in the gas phase is measured. Experimental data obtained in the study are interpreted within the free recoil model. It is shown that polarization experiments carried out to investigate photodecay in vapors allow researchers to uniquely the intramolecular direction of the dipole moments of transitions with absorption and emission. The wave function of an electron in a symmetric double quantum well placed in a strong time-periodic electric field is found, expressions for quasienergy functions are derived, and the dependence of the dipole moment on the average electric field is analyzed for the case where the average field remains constant. In the case of slow monotonic variation of the “constant” component of the electric field, the Schro dinger equation is solved by the WKB method. It is found that the dependence of the dipole moment on the average field is of a clearly nonlinear almost-periodic nature and that in the event of adiabatic monotonic variation of the average field there is a periodic relocation of the electron density from well to well with a small frequency proportional to the rate of variation of the average field. By means of quantum beat spectroscopy we investigated the dynamics of magnetic moments associated with hyperfine levels in the molecule under “spin-flip conditions”. Oriented molecules in a cold beam were prepared by excitation with a circularly polarized laser pulse () in a weak magnetic field (). Subsequently, they were exposed to a rapid field inversion which left the magnetic moment in its initial orientation. The initially created coherences among the excited hf levels were conserved after field reversal and thus were explored to characterize the changes in the level structure due to this “Majorana spin-flip” process. The effect of rotational predissociation on the polarization response of an ensemble of photofragments is investigated within the framework of the model with free scatter of fragments for the most general case when both original molecules and fragments are asymmetric rotators. Photoinduced decomposition reactions with single- and two-photon excitation of fragment fluorescence are analyzed. Second- and third-order orientational correlation functions determining the polarization degree of fragment fluorescence are calculated. The behavior of these correlation functions depending on the shape of original molecules and fragments, directions of dipole moments, and characteristic times of the process are analyzed. We studied the effect of an electric field on the transmission of linearly polarized light through films of composites based on polyvinylbutyral doped with particles of Cu(II)/Mn(II) complexes with “skeleton” and “planar” structures. The action of an electrostatic field causes light absorption to become anisotropic. The effect increases with increasing distance between the cation and anion. Its sign reverses if the spatial structure of the complex is changed. The temperature and frequency dependence of the nuclear relaxation rate in dielectric glasses is investigated. It is shown that at low and ultralow temperatures nuclear relaxation is due to an interaction between the nuclear quadrupole moment and fluctuations of the electric field created by dipole moments of two-level systems. Fluctuations of this field can be associated with the background relaxation or are due only to the dipole-dipole interaction between two-level systems. It is shown that at lower temperatures the second relaxation mechanism begins to dominate. Expressions are obtained for the temperature and frequency of crossover between different nuclear relaxation regimes. The possibility of experimental confirmation of our results is discussed. Magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments are discussed in nuclei near doubly-closed shell nuclei (the T1 nuclei) and in nuclei along series of single-closed shell nuclei (plus of minus a few nucleons) (the In odd-mass and odd-odd nuclei). We discuss the “additivity” rules for nuclear moments. We also address the EO moment: the liquid drop model and the shell-model are discussed and compared to measurements of nuclear radii in the Ca, Sn and Pb region. In the latter region, the importance of intruder states across the Z=82 proton closed shell is emphasized.  相似文献

We present the results of investigations of the electrical and optical characteristics of a negative-polarity corona discharge excited in systems of “pins-mesh” and “pins-plane” electrodes in a He/N2 mixture at atmospheric pressure. In order that such a corona discharge could be applied in systems of electric pumping of the working medium of atmospheric-pressure N2-lasers, the optimum conditions should be: the total pressure of the mixture ≤150 kPa and the nitrogen pressure ≤5 kPa. The electrical conductivity, photoconductivity, and electrical and magneto-optical properties of the films of new polycomplexes of 4-methacryloyloxy-(4′-carboxy-3′-oxy)-azobenzene with nickel and cobalt have been investigated. The electrical conductivity and photoconductivity in the visible region of light are determined by the orientation effects of azobenzene groups as well as by generation and transfer of charge carriers between them. It is shown that the effect of intramolecular lability in complex molecules on the degree of fluorescence polarization of rarified vapors is mainly mediated through perturbations of rotational motion in the region of separatrixes of A- and C-forms of rotation stereo dynamics. It is most pronounced for the orientation of optical transition dipole moment components along the axis of the molecule average moment of inertia (B) and manifests itself in all types of molecular tops. Such lability for dipole orientations along the A and C axes usually causes the degree of anisotropy to decrease by an order of magnitude and more. So it is advisable to use optical transitions with dipole moments oriented along the A or C axes for optical polarization analysis of molecules in the gaseous state, for example in analytical high-temperature polarized fluorescence.  相似文献

We compare the sensitivity of the degree of polarization of integral fluorescence for excitation by light with a spectral width larger than the width of the rotating loop or only in the Qbranch of the rotating loop to a change in the principal moment of inertia (rotational constants) of complex molecules in vapors. It is shown that the sensitivity depends on the degree of asymmetry of the molecular top and the intramolecular orientation of the dipole transition moments. Improvement of the symmetry of the asymmetric top leads to an increase in the sensitivity to at least one of the rotational constants. Such effects are also noted for the sensitivity of the period of the rotational quantum echo to a change in the rotational constants.  相似文献

New achievements in nuclear moment measurements on nuclei produced and spin-oriented in intermediate energy (50–80 MeV/u) projectile fragmentation reactions are presented. By combining different types of spin-orientation with different experimental techniques, we show that the magnetic dipole moments and electric quadrupole moments of exotic neutron rich nuclei in their ground state as well as in their excited isomeric states can be measured. A selection of recent experiments performed at the LISE spectrometer at GANIL (Caen, France) is described. We investigate the analog of Landau quantization, for a neutral polarized particle in the presence of homogeneous electric and magnetic external fields, in the context of non-commutative quantum mechanics. This particle, possessing electric and magnetic dipole moments, interacts with the fields via the Aharonov–Casher and He–McKellar–Wilkens effects. For this model we obtain the Landau energy spectrum and the radial eigenfunctions of the non-commutative space coordinates and non-commutative phase space coordinates. Also we show that the case of non-commutative phase space can be treated as a special case of the usual non-commutative space coordinates.  相似文献

The conditions for the occurrence of interference of the transient radiation fields produced by an electric charge and a magnetic moment are analyzed. The contribution of the transient radiation of a charge – magnetic moment system, depending on the orientation of the magnetic moment, to the total output has been calculated for the case of a particle escaping from a titanium target in vacuum for a photon energy of 454 eV. The possibility of harnessing the effect under consideration in developing a new type of polarimeter has been evaluated.  相似文献

We study the charged lepton electric dipole moments in the Randall–Sundrum model where the leptons and the gauge fields are accessible to the extra dimension. We observe that the electric dipole moment of the electron (muon; tau) reaches a value of the order of 10-26 e cm (10-20 e cm; 10-20 e cm) with the inclusion of the lepton KK modes.  相似文献

We obtain and analyze an analytical solution to the problem of electromagnetic-wave radiation of the point electric dipole from an anisotropic plasma cylinder to free space. Two cases of the dipole orientation are considered, where the electric dipole is directed along and across a horizontal magnetic field whose direction does not coincide with the axes of a cylindrical coordinate system. We analyze how the conditions and characteristics of the resonance influence of the anisotropic plasma cylinder depend on the strength of the magnetic field and its direction with respect to the dipole moment of the source. Comparative analysis of the resonance influence of the plasma cylinder with horizontal and axial external magnetic fields is performed.  相似文献
