We develop in this paper a new method to construct two explicit Lie algebras E and F. By using a loop algebra \bar{E} of the Lie algebra E and the reduced self-dual Yang-Mills equations, we obtain an expanding integrable model of the Giachetti-Johnson (GJ) hierarchy whose Hamiltonian structure can
also be derived by using the trace identity. This provides a much simplier construction method in comparing with the tedious variational identity approach. Furthermore, the nonlinear integrable coupling of the GJ hierarchy is readily obtained by introducing the Lie algebra gN. As an application, we apply the loop algebra \tilde{E} of the Lie algebra E to obtain a kind of expanding integrable model of the Kaup-Newell (KN) hierarchy which, consisting of two arbitrary parametersα andβ, can be reduced to two nonlinear evolution equations. In addition, we use a loop algebra \tilde{F} of the Lie algebra F to obtain an
expanding integrable model of the BT hierarchy whose Hamiltonian structure is the same as using the trace identity. Finally, we deduce five integrable systems in R3 based on the self-dual Yang-Mills equations, which include Poisson structures, irregular lines, and the reduced equations.  相似文献

A gauge theory in flat space—time, in which the gauge algebra is the (infinite-dimensional) algebra of vector fields on a surface, determines a curved space—time metric. This note deals with some completely integrable examples, concentrating on the N → ∞ limit of the Euler—Arnol'd equations [geodesics on SO(N)]. In this case, the metric turns out to be flat, which points the way to a coordinate transformation that solves the original equations.  相似文献

We propose a new dynamical reflection algebra, distinct from the previous dynamical boundary algebra and semi-dynamical reflection algebra. The associated Yang?CBaxter equations, coactions, fusions, and commuting traces are derived. Explicit examples are given and quantum integrable Hamiltonians are constructed. They exhibit features similar to the Ruijsenaars?CSchneider Hamiltonians.  相似文献

A 3? 3 matrix Lie algebra is first introduced, its subalgebras and the generated Lie algebras are obtained, respectively. Applications of a few Lie subalgebras give rise to two integrable nonlinear hierarchies of evolution equations from their reductions we obtain the nonlinear Schrödinger equations, the mKdV equations, the Broer-Kaup (BK) equation and its generalized equation, etc. The linear and nonlinear integrable couplings of one integrable hierarchy presented in the paper are worked out by casting a 3? 3 Lie subalgebra into a 2? 2 matrix Lie algebra. Finally, we discuss the elliptic variable solutions of a generalized BK equation.  相似文献

The upper triangular matrix of Lie algebra is used to construct integrable couplings of discrete solition equations. Correspondingly, a feasible way to construct integrable couplings is presented. A nonlinear lattice soliton equation spectral problem is obtained and leads to a novel hierarchy of the nonlinear lattice equation hierarchy. It indicates that the study of integrable couplings using upper triangular matrix of Lie algebra is an important step towards constructing integrable systems.  相似文献

We consider a Lie algebra generalizing the Virasoro algebra to the case of two space variables. We study its coadjoint representation and calculate the corresponding Euler equations. In particular, we obtain a bi-Hamiltonian system that leads to an integrable non-linear partial differential equation. This equation is an analogue of the Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (of type B) equation.  相似文献

Partial differential equations integrable by the linear matrix spectral problem of arbitrary order are considered for the case that the “potentials” take their values in the commutative infinite-dimensional Z2 graded algebra (superalgebra). The general form of the integrable equations and their Bäcklund transformations are found. The infinite sets of the integrals of the motion are constructed. The hamiltonian character of the integrable equations is proved.  相似文献

In the paper,we introduce the Lie algebras and the commutator equations to rewrite the Tu-d scheme for generating discrete integrable systems regularly.By the approach the various loop algebras of the Lie algebra A_1are defined so that the well-known Toda hierarchy and a novel discrete integrable system are obtained, respectively.A reduction of the later hierarchy is just right the famous Ablowitz-Ladik hierarchy. Finally, via two different enlarging Lie algebras of the Lie algebra A_1,we derive two resulting differential-difference integrable couplings of the Toda hierarchy,of course, they are all various discrete expanding integrable models of the Toda hierarchy. When the introduced spectral matrices are higher degrees, the way presented in the paper is more convenient to generate discrete integrable equations than the Tu-d scheme by using the software Maple.  相似文献

This paper surveys the classification of integrable evolution equations whose field variables take values in an associative algebra, which includes matrix, Clifford, and group algebra valued systems. A variety of new examples of integrable systems possessing higher order symmetries are presented. Symmetry reductions lead to an associative algebra-valued version of the Painlevé transcendent equations. The basic theory of Hamiltonian structures for associative algebra-valued systems is developed and the biHamiltonian structures for several examples are found. We show that a class of integrable nonlinear differential equations in 2+1 dimensions, including the physically important cylindrical Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation, has a symmetry algebra with a specific Kac-Moody-Virasoro structure. The isomorphism between this algebra and the symmetry algebra of the KP equation, is used to transform the entire class into the KP equation, by a Lie point transformation. This transformation makes it possible to solve completely the Cauchy problem for the cylindrical KP equation.  相似文献

We discuss a fundamental characteristic of orthogonal polynomials, like the existence of a Lie algebra behind them, which can be added to their other relevant aspects. At the basis of the complete framework for orthogonal polynomials we include thus–in addition to differential equations, recurrence relations, Hilbert spaces and square integrable functions–Lie algebra theory.  相似文献

By making use of the vector product in R3, a commuting operation is introduced so that R3 becomes a Lie algebra. The resulting loop algebra \tilde R3 is presented, from which the well-known AKNS hierarchy is produced. Again via applying the superposition of the commuting operations of the Lie algebra, a commuting operation in R6 is constructed so that R6 becomes a Lie algebra. Thanks to the corresponding loop algebra \tilde R3 of the Lie algebra R3, the integrable coupling of the AKNS system is obtained. The method presented in this paper is rather simple and can be used to work out integrable coupling systems of the other known integrable hierarchies of soliton equations.  相似文献

A new higher-dimensional Lie algebra is constructed, which is used to generate multiple integrable couplings simultaneously. From this, we come to a general approach for seeking multi-integrable couplings of the known integrable soliton equations.  相似文献

The Estabrook-Wahlquist prolongation of a one-parameter family of evolution equations is carried out explicitly. It is shown that a non-Abelian prolongation algebra is obtained only for that parameter value for which the prolonged equation belongs to a known class of integrable equations. A Bäcklund transformation is constructed for the integrable case, and periodic, kink and bell-type solutions are displayed.  相似文献

Nonlinear nonautonomous discrete dynamical systems (DDS) whose continuum limits are the well-known Painlevé equations, have recently arisen in models of quantum gravity. The Painlevé equations are believed integrable because each is the isomonodromy condition for an associated linear differential equation. However, not every DDS with an integrable continuum limit is necessarily integrable. Which of the many discrete versions of the Painlevé equations inherit their integrability is not known. How to derive all their integrable discrete versions is also not known. We provide a systematic method of attacking these questions by giving a general discrete isomonodromy problem. Discrete versions of the first and second Painlevé equations are deduced from this general problem.  相似文献

A new 3M-dimensional Lie algebra X is constructed firstly. Then, the corresponding loop algebra X is produced, whose commutation operation defined by us is as simple and straightforward as that in the loop algebra A1.It follows that a generalscheme for generating multi-component integrable hierarchy is proposed. By taking advantage of X, a new isospectral problem is established, and then well-known multi-component TC hierarchy is obtained. Finally,an expanding loop algebra FM of the loop algebra X is presented. Based on the FM, the multi-component integrable coupling system of the generalized multi-component TC hierarchy has been worked out. The method in this paper can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations hierarchies. It is easy to find that we can construct any finite-dimensional Lie algebra by this approach.  相似文献

A new simple loop algebra GM is constructed, which is devoted to establishing an isospectral problem.By making use of generalized Tu scheme, the multi-component SC hierarchy is obtained. Furthermore, an expanding loop algebra FM of the loop algebra GM is presented. Based on FM, the multi-component integrable coupling system of the multi-component SC hierarchy of soliton equations is worked out. How to design isospectral problem of mulitcomponent hierarchy of soliton equations is a technique and interesting topic. The method can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations hierarchy.  相似文献

A set of new multi-component matrix Lie algebra is constructed, which is devoted to obtaining a new loop algebra A-2M. It follows that an isospectral problem is established. By making use of Tu scheme, a Liouville integrable multi-component hierarchy of soliton equations is generated, which possesses the multi-component Hamiltonian structures. As its reduction cases, the multi-component C-KdV hierarchy is given. Finally, the multi-component integrable coupling system of C-KdV hierarchy is presented through enlarging matrix spectral problem.  相似文献
