We consider mappings of the m-dimensional torus Tm (m ≥ 2) that are C 1-perturbations of linear hyperbolic automorphisms. We obtain sufficient conditions for such mappings to be one-to-one hyperbolic mappings (i.e., Anosov diffeomorphisms). These results are used to study the blue-sky catastrophe related to the vanishing of a saddle-node invariant torus with a quasiperiodic winding in a system of ordinary differential equations.  相似文献

In this paper, a new class of biholomorphic mappings named “ε quasi-convex mapping” is introduced in the unit ball of a complex Banach space. Meanwhile, the definition of ε-starlike mapping is generalized from ε∈[0,1] to ε∈[−1,1]. It is proved that the class of ε quasi-convex mappings is a proper subset of the class of starlike mappings and contains the class of ε starlike mappings properly for some ε∈[−1,0)∪(0,1]. We give a geometric explanation for ε-starlike mapping with ε∈[−1,1] and prove that the generalized Roper-Suffridge extension operator preserves the biholomorphic ε starlikeness on some domains in Banach spaces for ε∈[−1,1]. We also give some concrete examples of ε quasi-convex mappings or ε starlike mappings for ε∈[−1,1] in Banach spaces or Cn. Furthermore, some other properties of ε quasi-convex mapping or ε-starlike mapping are obtained. These results generalize the related works of some authors.  相似文献

We define a scale of mappings that depends on two real parameters p and q, n?1 ≤ qp < ∞ and a weight function θ. In the case of q = p = n, θ ≡ 1, we obtain the well-known mappings with bounded distortion. Mappings of a two-index scale inherit many properties of mappings with bounded distortion. They are used for solving a few problems of global analysis and applied problems.  相似文献

A partial ordering is defined for monotone projections f: NN, N = {1, 2,…, n}, such that the class of these mappings is a lattice which is isomorphic to the partition lattice. Thus a partition can be uniquely represented by an element of this class of mappings and the partial ordering of partitions is preserved. We study the differentiability of mappings in the geometry of Carnot-Carathéodory spaces under the condition of minimal smoothness of vector fields. We introduce a new concept of hc-differentiability and prove the hc-differentiability of Lipschitz mappings of Carnot-Carathéodory spaces (a generalization of Rademacher’s theorem) and a generalization of Stepanov’s theorem. As a consequence, we obtain the hc-differentiability almost everywhere of the quasiconformal mappings of Carnot-Carathéodory spaces. We establish the hc-differentiability of rectifiable curves by way of proof. Moreover, the paper contains a new proof of the functorial property of the correspondence “a local basis ? the nilpotent tangent cone.”  相似文献

We study the problem of the so-called lower order for one kind of mappings with finite distortion, actively investigated in the recent 15–20 years.We prove that mappings with finite length distortion f: D → ? n , n ≥ 2, whose outer dilatation is integrable to the power α > n ? 1 with finite asymptotic limit have lower order bounded from below.  相似文献

We consider a class of almost geodesic mappings, namely, almost geodesic mappings of class π 2, and obtain conditions under which almost Hermitian manifolds admit almost geodesic mappings of class π 2. We prove that an almost Hermitian manifold admits a π 2-mapping with respect to a Riemannian connection if and only if it is an NK-manifold. We obtain a condition on the defining form ψ of any nontrivial π 2(e)-mapping under which a properNK-structure is taken to a proper NK-structure.  相似文献

We define two scales of the mappings that depend on two real parameters p and q, with n?1 ≤ qp < ∞, as well as a weight function θ. The case q = p = n and θ ≡ 1 yields the well-known mappings with bounded distortion. The mappings of a two-index scale are applied to solve a series of problems of global analysis and applications. Let B n be the Euclidean unit ball in C n . In this paper, we study several properties of strongly starlike mappings of order α (0 < α < 1) and bounded convex mappings on B n . We prove that K-quasiregular strongly starlike mappings of order α on B n have continuous and univalent extensions to ${\overline{B}^n}$ . We show that bounded convex mappings on B n are strongly starlike of some order α. We give a coefficient estimate for K-quasiregular strongly starlike mappings of order α on B n . Finally, we give examples of strongly starlike mappings of order α and bounded convex mappings on B n .  相似文献

In this paper we first consider some well-known classes of separable metric spaces which are isometrically ω-saturated (see [S.D. Iliadis, Universal Spaces and Mappings, North-Holland Mathematics Studies, vol. 198, Elsevier, 2005, xvi+559]) and, therefore, contain isometrically universal spaces. We put some problems concerning such spaces most of which are related with the properties of the isometrically universal Urysohn space. Furthermore, using the defined notions of isometrically universal mappings and G-spaces (which are analogies of the notion of isometrically universal spaces) we introduce the notions of an isometrically ω-saturated class of mappings and an isometrically ω-saturated class of G-spaces (in which there are “many” isometrically universal elements). We prove that all results of Sections 6.1 and 7.1 of [S.D. Iliadis, Universal Spaces and Mappings, North-Holland Mathematics Studies, vol. 198, Elsevier, 2005, xvi+559] can be reformulated for isometrically ω-saturated classes of spaces and G-spaces, respectively. In particular, we prove that if D and R are isometrically ω-saturated classes of spaces, then the class of all mappings with the domain in D and range in R is an isometrically ω-saturated class of mappings and, therefore, in this class there are isometrically universal elements. As a corollary of this result we have that since the class of all mappings is isometrically ω-saturated, in this class there are isometrically universal mappings. Similarly, if G is an arbitrary separable metric group and P is an isometrically ω-saturated class of spaces, then the class of all G-spaces (X,F), where X is an element of P, is an isometrically ω-saturated class of G-spaces and, therefore, in this class there are isometrically universal elements. In particular, for any separable metric group G, in the class of all G-spaces there are isometrically universal G-spaces. We also pose some problems concerning isometrically universal mappings and G-spaces some of which concern the Urysohn space.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to prove a collection of new fixed point theorems for so-called weakly F-contractive mappings. By analogy, we introduce also a class of strongly F-expansive mappings and we prove fixed point theorems for such mappings. We provide a few examples, which illustrate these results and, as an application, we prove an existence and uniqueness theorem for the generalized Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. Finally, in Appendix A, we apply the Mönch fixed point theorem to prove two results on the existence of approximate fixed points of some continuous mappings.  相似文献

The properties of (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces are examined. Multivalued covering mappings between (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces are investigated. Given two multivalued mappings between (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces such that one of them is covering and the other satisfies the Lipschitz condition, sufficient conditions for these mappings to have a coincidence point are obtained. A theorem on the stability of coincidence points with respect to small perturbations in the considered mappings is proved.  相似文献

We study space mappings more general than the mappings with bounded distortion in the sense of Reshetnyak. We consider questions related to the local behavior of mappings differentiable almost everywhere, possessing Properties N, N ?1, ACP, and ACP ?1, and such that quasiconformality coefficient satisfies a certain restriction on growth. We show that the value of a mapping satisfying these requirements on an arbitrary neighborhood of an essential singularity can be greater in absolute value than the logarithm of the inverse radius of the ball raised to an arbitrary positive power.  相似文献

We introduce the concept of cyclic Kannan orbital C-nonexpansive mappings and obtain the existence of a best proximity point on a pair of bounded, closed and convex subsets of a strictly convex metric space by using the geometric notion of seminormal structure. We also study the structure of minimal sets for cyclic Kannan C-nonexpansive mappings and show that results similar to the celebrated Goebel– Karlovitz lemma for nonexpansive self-mappings can be obtained for cyclic Kannan C-nonexpansive mappings.  相似文献

We study mappings of finite distortion whose distortion functions belong to the Lebesgue space L loc p . We establish a local modulus of continuity estimate for the inverse of such a mapping. As an application, we describe the possible compression of Hausdorff measure under such mappings. We also exhibit examples that describe the extent to which our results are sharp.  相似文献

In this paper we prove the following conformity criterion for the gradient of conformal radius ?R(D, z) of a convex domain D: the boundary ?D has to be a circumference. In this paper we introduce and study a new class containing the class of absolutely summing multilinear mappings, which we call absolutely (p;q 1,…,q m ;r)-summing multilinear mappings. We investigate some interesting properties concerning the absolutely (p;q 1,…,q m ;r)-summing m-linear mappings defined on Banach spaces. In particular, we prove a kind of Pietsch’s Domination Theorem and a multilinear version of the Factorization Theorem.  相似文献
